OMG I totally am!! I just love her sooo much! I think she is soo brilliant and talented!!!!

I never got to meet Kat, but she was in the grade above me in middle school; though she didn't really go to school she came for the elective type classes (music, drama, foreign lang, etc). But I remember seeing her in the school production of Peter Pan and she was Wendy and thinking that she was really good. I also remember when she got her first Broadway role because the school newspaper wrote about it and everyone thought it was so exciting that someone from Missouri and our school specifically was going off to do something so exciting. It's both really cool and also kind of weird to see her now from having a couple Disney roles to playing one of my favorite book characters and now on Arrow

Just shows what people can do
Our moms used to sort of be friends when I was little. They were in a mutual friend group with other moms and kids I knew. I know when we were in kindergarten we went to an art museum together. We also went to the same middle school part time, but she came in the afternoons and I came in the mornings (I was half homeschooled and half doing electives) I saw her a few times but never really talked to her since childhood. It’s so amazing that she has come this far. It’s soooo cool to have watched her go from local actress to big time.
I will always be a huge fan of Kat. Her humility and humbleness is something we can all learn from.
I have had the pleasure of meeting her this year. She's an ANGEL, she is the most authentic towards her fans out of all the actors and actresses that I've met.

John D yep, at Dutch Comic Con. I took a photo booth picture with her. She and one of her friends welcomed me, she gave me a hug, complimented my shirt, and asked if I wanted her to pose, and she did ( a hug rejection pose) Probably the funniest picture that I've ever been in.

Amanda H. I went to school with a girl who is an actress. She’s not anyone famous but she has small bits and parts in tv shows and B movies and makes a decent living because she’s constantly landing these tiny parts. She’s incredibly pretty now. She basically looks like a typical CW girl (basically gorgeous and super fit). She also does a lot of stage play productions and i think she was in a few broadway musicals in NYC. But in high school, she was shy and wore glasses and stayed to herself. She was active in theater arts and choir and always had the lead role and she would just become someone so different than who she actually was. She was actually a really nice person. Just awkward and not completely comfortable in her own skin yet. She wasn’t popular by any means but she wasn’t unpopular. Just sort of invisible. But, yes, the jocks and popular girls made fun of her. I sat next to her in bio and we talked quite a bit. I thought she was great but I also wasn’t one of the popular kids either. I remember she went to NYU for theater and all she wanted was to get out of Orange County, CA, and pursue her dreams and be someone that her hometown would never allow her to become.
I messaged her on FB a few years ago and we messaged back and forth. She’s incredibly happy and, even though she’s not a big time actor, she is constantly working and is doing what she loves and she’s the woman she always wanted to be.
A lot of people who are actors are late bloomers. You pull up old yearbook photos and you can tell that their teens were a really awkward phase and they had trouble fitting in.
I’d rather be a late bloomer. I’ve run into a lot of people who were in the popular crowd whenever I visited home. The girls were pregnant a year after finishing high school and the jocks were bartenders.

@@julekhaakthar4907 She technically didn't go to school, she was home educated for most subjects. So she was passing exams on faster rate. She earned bachelor's degree online.

The CW is talking about a spinoff - called The Canaries. It would be Mia Smock (Katherine McNamara), Black Siren (Katie Cassidy), and Black Canary (Julianna Harkavy). It would premier Fall 2020 if the response and ratings during Arrow's last season is strong enough. In other words, this season of Arrow is the pilot for The Canaries. If enough watch, it will be on the CW next year.
