That studio-AirBnB idea is so cool! Honestly, Samir, listen to Colin on this one. It would be so dope, especially for upcoming creators to go and stay in!
Another creator that's creating a branded AirBnB is Seth from the channel Berm Peak. He's creating an AirBnB near where he lives and he's opening a public bike park near by. His viewers can come to the park and stay at his rental. Pretty smart way to branch out.
This idea of combining HGTV renovation style vlogs with an Airbnb opportunity to visit is awesome. Really hoping this business models pans out as it’s a much more audience beneficial model of renovations than just watching someone else benefit from the renovation!
Holly cow!!! I think 🤔 this is so mind opening. I had several ideas 💡 around this. Didn’t know how to make it happen until now. Thank you Colin and Samir for this.
i've been binging your videos straight since i discovered your channel. i never would have thought that a creator would be able to bring hospitality into their business brand. i'm learning so much from this channel, keep up the incredible work guys!!!
love your interviews, i would love to see more black creators and indian creators, there aren't a lot of us with a huge following on this yet so hearing there come up/story would be great.
Fascinating Interview! Love what Shelby is doing - I have a similar setup. RUclips creates cashflow which then goes into property, which is documented back on the channel as a loop.
2 things: #1. How meta is it to have an ad roll showing in the middle of an ad read (Public) :) #2. And Max Foosh is awesome (the film rolling on the large screen during b-roll - he did not become the mayor of London, but how cool content).
Berm Peak is doing the Air BnB thing. He is a mountain bike RUclips channel and made the accommodation suit MTB riders with tools/storage and it's decorated with some items that the viewers can resonate with from the channel.
Is my iPad reading my mind? I’ve been wondering about Shelby lately, haven’t seen her videos for the past year, and tonight your program, this episode, was recommended. Interesting discussion, thanks
I'm not a huge fan of AirBnB because I think they're a terrible company for keeping local housing affordable, but I have to admit- Shelby's series about the property has been super entertaining.
You guy make great videos. Why I love more about this video, you are bring people back on the show. I know you couldn't bring because of covid before. It's better than zoom call.
The reason I love these videos alot are because you guys open the eyes to creators with regards to opportunities they may not have even thought about themselves. Great job as usual guys.
When I was working in a mortgage banker as one of those cold callers you probably HATE , I met this one surprisingly nice girl who was 26 and owned 5 air bnbs and was a photographer for a magazine and I was quite shocked how she did that ... I know it’s not easy , but a course would be nice !
Your shows are so inspirational. Whenever watching one of your episodes I feel re-motivated and bursting with ideas and just want to jump into it. Thank you for amazing content.
hmmm staying at colin samir studio office would be cool. perhaps not like a month long stay but a cute weekend getaway --- sorta like an "artist-in-residency" space like for creators. residency spaces are big in the art world for artists all over the world.... but a creator space would be cool. and charge a bit more for zoom calls with colin and samir for an extra treat.
@@moreadventure3627he means that it is difficult to expand the business - the returns are linked to her time and effort. If she wanted to expand, it would cost a lot. This is in comparison to e-commerce for example which is highly scalable - there will be a much smaller difference in selling 10 units compared to a 100 units when compared to 10 airbnb's and 100 airbnb's.
Im an international hospitality student and this is fascinating to listen to. Just thinking about the potential of expanding this concept gives me dopamine. 😂😂😂
SUCH an interesting conversation! I'm guessing this phenomenon of creators diversifying is happeneing in the US first and over time most creators, from other countries will follow. Watching Mr. Beast open up Beast Burgers in Europe changed things, making it completely international. Didn't know who Shelby was before this, but subscribing to her channel to learn more!! Creators making forays into real estate is something very new; excited for what the future holds for this new creator economy. Thank you so much for creating this content guy! Forever grateful for the knowledge! EDIT - also YES to turning your studio into an AirBnB - could be v interesting! (altho there is that question of taking care of the gear and people being able to use it properly 🤔)
The dynamic in this one between you guys was awesome!!! 👏🏼👏🏼 So many ideas!! I’ve wanted to run multiple Airbnb’s for so long! If only it didn’t cost so much to get started 😅😅
Great topic C+S!! Wishing the best of luck to Shelby 🌟 I had worked under a music video director a few times in LA that has continued to shoot content but is heavily transitioning to owning & operating multiple film studios. Very cool to see him actively tie his original network of artists, managers & videographers into new potential customers for his studio rentals :)
Listening to the podcast and watching this video are actually two unique experiences because they’re clearly deliberately cut for each format. Really interesting
Great insights Colin and Samir! I like this idea of advertising is raising money so that you can build equity. As I build my channel, I am continuing to grow my business. I am hoping my business will grow as I share more behind the scenes. You should check out the channel Robuilt who does content only on his Airbnbs
FYI the gate on her mic is a bit aggressive. The opening and closing is very noticeable. Even the low hiss might be less noticeable then the on/off of it.
To be honest, I already have a plan for later. I want to be heavily involved in making Conventions like Comic Con have epic food inside the halls, not just outside with trucks. That's a long way off, but I love food and cosplay so it brings the two together
Honestly upscale houses seem like they could do more good as an Airbnb than just a rich person 5th summer home. Alternatively more normal homes need be owned instead of rented out
Loving the series. Samir you need to let Colin speak more. It’s becoming the Samir show. Love both you guys, but make it more equal please, thanks a lot 😁👍
thanks for having me!! I feel like I have 10+ ideas to implement after this chat 😂
SECRET DOOR
Btw, thanks! Learned a lot !
So when are you going back to the Iced Coffee Hour? :)
PS
Hope the recovery process is going well. 🤗🤗🤗
Shelby is so dope! Missing this MLC podcast
You're the best Shelby!
Shelby, you should check out @Robuilt whose channel is all about Airbnb and short-term rentals. I think you guys would have a great collab
So cool to see creators branching out, very inspiring.
Gotta get you on the show #KingofShorts
@@ColinandSamir always down 👀🤗
So you made less then 1 minute videos forever huh cool
This episode was hilarious. Colin was cracking me up. It's almost like it was a consultation for Shelby.
Samir blew my mind with his “advertising is fundraising for you to then buy equity”
I feel Shelby Church is the future of what it means to be a small business owner. Good talk.
Correct! This video taught us to be our own bosses. Just, amazing.
That studio-AirBnB idea is so cool! Honestly, Samir, listen to Colin on this one. It would be so dope, especially for upcoming creators to go and stay in!
99% of this episode:
- Samir: YOU SHOULD DO THIS or THIS!
- Shelby: yeah
Lol true
this is like me when people ask me/tell me I should start my own design firm - hm, nah, I'm good.
Well they had good ideas
Great interview Shelby and C+S! Publix lead in was freakin dope 😂
😂 😂
This is a dope video. Getting so many ideas as a creator already! I love Shelbys channel too. Awesome video guys! Love your channel!
Every episode of this podcast is what my digital media college courses should've been

i’ve never actually wanted to watch an ad segment but that Public transition was so smooth i had to 😂
it was fire!
He flipping nailed it…
I would absolutely stay in your studio. Perfect mix of peerspace and Airbnb
I love Shelby Church! She does amazing videos and are worth watching!
Agree! She’s so underrated and her content is well shot! She takes time to make thoughtful b-roll, she’s not just recording and uploading.
the quality of these episodes is improving so fast
Holly cow!!! I think 🤔 this is so mind opening.

Some fantastic and inspiring ideas in all this! @Shelby is killing it 💪
shelbys one of my fave creators. lots of great business stuff. this air bnb podcast illuminated further how good an idea it is
There are very few channels that when I watch them I feel like it’s TV and this is one. Love the high quality content !!
The product placement at just the right time is immaculate!
Ive been binging your content so much and I got to say you guys are really dropping gems. I feel so motivated every time I see another creator here
love your interviews, i would love to see more black creators and indian creators, there aren't a lot of us with a huge following on this yet so hearing there come up/story would be great.
She is just awesome and honest in the videos!! Thanks for interviewing her!❤️❤️
Fascinating Interview! Love what Shelby is doing - I have a similar setup. RUclips creates cashflow which then goes into property, which is documented back on the channel as a loop.
This showed up in my reccomended because of Shelby but i loved the quality of this video and all the helpful b-roll clips!
I died when Colin said, "Samir owns THOUSANDS of domains..." 😂
"The reason we aren't profitable is because I buy too many domains" - Samir Chaudry, 2021
2 things:

As a small youtuber, it is so inspiring to see where youtube can take you business-wise.
Someone trashed one of my Airbnbs 😱
SAMIR OUR VIDEO IS UP, SO PROUD OF HOW IT TURNED OUT!! 🔥
This is so true! Kinda funny I just watched a Ryan trahan video where he said “these days, youtubers are celebrities and celebrities are youtubers”
Wow too true!
how do you guys do you punch in zooms? they look GOOOOOD. Do you guys edit in premiere?
The punch ins are just with the transform effect in premiere 👍
Shelby could teach a master class in business.
Want a story about black creators venturing to different business. It will be interesting to see.
i was literally about to comment this!!!
Definitely. Any specific creators come to mind that you'd want us to highlight?
Roberto Hartwell was featured in Jay Z’s Entrepreneur music video, is a successful Broadway star, and he’s an epic entrepreneur.
Is my iPad reading my mind? I’ve been wondering about Shelby lately, haven’t seen her videos for the past year, and tonight your program, this episode, was recommended. Interesting discussion, thanks
More humorous than comedy specials, yet more informational than docu series.
Title should've been: "Colin and Samir interview themselves while Shelby Church agrees with them" 🤣
You are the most hardworking duo on entire youtube. All the best. Love from India :)
I'm not a huge fan of AirBnB because I think they're a terrible company for keeping local housing affordable, but I have to admit- Shelby's series about the property has been super entertaining.
watching religiously, have wanted an Airbnb to stay at and record a course. this is an incredible idea.

Samir, GREAT energy, but I would have loved to have listened to shelby talk a tad bit more. Thanks for the video. Really enjoyed it.
I think the algorithm brought me here because I watch Shelby"s channels. Great Interview!
In your "creator" airbnb stock it with other creator's merchandise (Chamberlain coffee, Peter McKinnon box with items for filming, etc)
mamrie hart and grace helbig are also getting into hospitality with an airbnb- so perfect!
Colin and Samir are such good friends 😂
The office AirBnB idea is like combining a peerspace and AirBnB which sounds super interesting
samir, colin, you guys know it too. deep down in your hearts & revenues both - you WANT to turn that office into an AirBNB. love the idea. DO IT!
First time finding this channel. Chock full of great insight and ideas. Suuuuuubbed.
Haha Public bit was hilarious...public should be really happy you made people laugh in their commercial.
Samir spitting fire, giving away free consulting advice in every episode.
That transition to Public, so smooth…
I would definitely stay at the office and try out my show ideas!
These young ladies are so smart and have so much to offer the world!
When I was working in a mortgage banker as one of those cold callers you probably HATE , I met this one surprisingly nice girl who was 26 and owned 5 air bnbs and was a photographer for a magazine and I was quite shocked how she did that ... I know it’s not easy , but a course would be nice !
I love hearing you guys talking shop w/ Shelby and seeing ideas spring forth organically.
It's been a few weeks since RUclips has recommended any of your videos. Now I have to watch them alllll. Just a heads up guys!
Your shows are so inspirational. Whenever watching one of your episodes I feel re-motivated and bursting with ideas and just want to jump into it. Thank you for amazing content.

I would defenetly visit the Studio 🔥🤯
I really timed hitting the like button when Colin holder his breath!
One of the best underdog youtube channels for sure!
The problem of Airbnb’s is that it’s a hardly scalable business , but I wish her the best

Yes I would stay, I'm also a local resident form Palm Springs!

I’d love to see the domain video
Just discovered this channel. Love your content guys!!
I love this series so much. It really reinvigorates my spirit for getting out there and creating content, so I very much appreciate it!
Shelby is one of the coolest creators out here on RUclips. & Speaking about a Colin & Samir Air Bnb... I'd go for that as a fan .
I would 100 percent stay in your Air BNB!!!
As someone who has been acquiring a few domain names recently I am definitely down for a domain discussion on here!
24 min of solid content and genuine feedback! Came for Shelby but now a new subscriber!
YES YES YES - please open your office on AirBnB ... even if it was just to work and not to sleep!
Lol. Samir just crushed it. Shelby's jaw was dropping on ideas after ideas.
It was fun see this episode.
Cheers Guys. - With love from India

The Creator Club B and B. YES!

I definitely wanna see the “Domain Name”video

Oh man, my first ever job was at a racquet club!
24:00 this bit definitely did not hurt the retention hahaha i loved it
omg I’ve been waiting for this collab!! such a great conversation
This interview in particular was really inspiring. We have so much opportunity in this life we just have to go take chances and own our unique brand!
