Greatly video yet again...this year we have gone for a seasonal pitch on Anglesey a caravan site called Dafarn Rhos. .its so beautiful here and you are metres from the beach.. our dogs Bella and Ruben love it too...but we will back to Norfolk its one of our favourite counties. ..Enzo and Michelle. ..
@@HelenandDave we love Ferry Meadows, even spent Christmas there in 2022, can’t do that now as CAMC decided it doesn’t make enough money over winter so close it end of October now. It’s also great for us as only 3/4 of an hour away, and my son loves riding his bike round nene park.
It was a good temporary fix while I got new glass, keep it now just in case or when it does happen again ! Great video from you guys, very much like watching

Good video tonight again. We were at Knaresborough last week, it's a lovely site and well looked after, but like you said it need a new facility block. The reception, cafe and small facilities block is new and very nice 👍 Hope Helen is doing alright.

Ferry meadows is normally our last outing of the year in late November but for some reason it is closed this year, maybe for refurbishment, we are currently in Spain although the weather is unsettled , it is a big site with 6 toilet blocks 5 pools 3 restaurants, 3 shops and 400 m from the sea €28 a night for a service pitch at the moment

Looks like you enjoyed it here in spite of the mirror. With the state of our roads it’s not surprising things get broken is it. Not in our caravan but we’ve just had an amazing week away in a little village called Combe Raleigh in Devon with the whole family in a huge barn conversion for my big birthday. We were lucky enough to have some glorious sunshine too.

Not been to Ferry Meadows but definitely on our list to visit, possibly on a stopover when we're heading up to Lincolnshire next. Hi Dave and Helen, nice week to be out and about, not done Ferry Meadows ourselves, probably a bit too big for us, trying to avoid Club sites as much as possible though. As for the mirror, we had 2 go AWOL on our Sterling from that corner cabinet, ended up taping the last replacement permanently closed. All the best.

Yikes I would get another size (smaller) mirror maybe the bottom hits and cracks it. Oh no I am Way too superstitious to keep letting that happen. I love hearing all the birds singing in the UK. One of my favorite sounds of nature. There are way too many hawks owls and other birds of prey in Florida I rarely hear birds singing. Good to see you both again.....safe travels. ❤

Hi Dave and Helen .Have you considered an acrylic mirror. They are indestructible.They are not quite as good as a glass mirror but might be worth a go .We use one in our van.🙂

Hi, another quality video, and a shame about the mirror, but I'm not sure that was toughened glass/ mirror. Toughened doesn't break like that it shatters into loads of tiny segments. Hope you get it sorted.

Great site review Dave and Helen, looks really nice….the mirror could be it needs adjusting the catches as might be latch twisted if you know what I mean and putting pressure on the mirror, then towing is causing it to snap….or like you say swinging and breaking. Looking forward to the next update…we’re off tomorrow to Brecon CAMC, but I don’t think the weather will be as good as yours 😂 happy caravanning Tris and Nikki

Nene Valley railway brilliant, if you're seen my vlogs it's my other hobby. Great shot of the spam can, the first loco you filmed. Bad news with the mirror door, something you will have to rectify. Just spent a brilliant week at our favourite site, Eye Kettleby near Melton Mowbray. Got quite a few wobble box holidays this year, never know might see you and do the shaky hand thing ay.🤝 Stay safe guys. Brilliant vlog thank you. We have had the same mirror break twice in our Swift Freestyle 4SB. I've not replaced it with a third mirror and haven't bothered putting a door there either. The little corner shelves don't need a door in front of them.

Great video as always! Did you take anytime to explore the country park that the campsite is part of? I grew up in Peterborough and it's really lovely especially for dog walks. We hope to get booked onto the campsite later this year :) Sorry about the mirror. Just a thought, but mirrored tiles that stick onto any surface would do the job. Take care both :)
Hi Chrissie, we didn’t really tbh. Made it to Tesco Serpentine Green 😂 and we only had a couple of nights plus a visit from my sister. We have visited much of the area before (without the caravan) and Dave used to play golf regularly at Thorpe Wood when he was working in Peterborough. We know the park is beautiful and next time we will make sure we make the most of it. Yeah we’re thinking that sort of replacement for the mirror would be better. Thanks & best wishes, Helen & Dave 👍
We’ve got a 2018 virtually the same, and had our mirror break two years ago shortly after we bought it, the hinge at the top had come loose as the screw was rubbish. The catch was misplaced in the triangle corner ! Main issue is the glass is too heavy for them. I’ve had to move the placement of the catch and the way it clips, the screw to the hinge and also added a large magnet catch at the top!! I also have a Perspex replacement mirror to use if and when it breaks again! (Made myself!). I’ve been round the van in all those hard to reach and see places and so many screws only have way in!

Fm is 15 mins from me so as it’s to close I have not visited for years. A loverly site and park tho. We often go there for a walk around both cafes are good but the whole place is busy at weekends especially in school holidays. Recommend tho if you have not been and there’s plenty for children to do. Nene valley railway is good as well but a tad pricey. Enjoy.

I found this- As the fragments of a broken mirror still actually reflect a person, and their corrupted soul. You could ground all the pieces into dust...no reflection, no problem! Another option is to bury all the fragments under a tree at full moon. This is said to realise your soul. Alternatively you could wash away the bad luck by putting the broken mirror into a southward flowing stream. - Perhaps it is good luck in a way, especially if you don't replace it. You just need a small mirror for shaving , doing make up and hair, the rest, you can just ask each other how you look...lovely weather. Hope Helen is feeling as well as possible? x
Hello Bry, a wonderful alternative way of dealing with a perceived issue😊 (Dave put it in a skip!!). I’m struggling g with the shoulders, now arms & knees too but I’m dosed up on meds, getting injections when I can and as soon as I said I’m not going private the waiting list came down by 12 months!!!! @@HelenandDave I am doing ok thankyou, better now the sun is shining!! Please think of trying acupuncture. I had 6 weeks [on the NHS] and felt such a relief in much lower pain levels. In my case, it didn't last too long, but a month or so after the 6 weeks, I remained reasonably pain free!!! x

You could try sticky backed plastic (as the BBC call it!) on the back of the mirror. I've used that before and it was just enough to reinforce the mirror. Also, is that toughened glass? It looked like the normal stuff! 😮

I worked in Peterborough for 5 years. The FM park is nice enough but it's always busy. As for Peterborough, I'm not a city person so I won't comment as it would be biased. It's funny, however, how we travel miles to be somewhere whilst others are going to where we live. I spend a good chunk of time on the East Anglian coast 🤣

As for the mirror, we had 2 go AWOL on our Sterling from that corner cabinet, ended up taping the last replacement permanently closed. All the best.

I love hearing all the birds singing in the UK. One of my favorite sounds of nature. There are way too many hawks owls and other birds of prey in Florida I rarely hear birds singing. Good to see you both again.....safe travels. ❤

Hi, another quality video, and a shame about the mirror, but I'm not sure that was toughened glass/ mirror. Toughened doesn't break like that it shatters into loads of tiny segments. Hope you get it sorted.

Great site review Dave and Helen, looks really nice….the mirror could be it needs adjusting the catches as might be latch twisted if you know what I mean and putting pressure on the mirror, then towing is causing it to snap….or like you say swinging and breaking. Looking forward to the next update…we’re off tomorrow to Brecon CAMC, but I don’t think the weather will be as good as yours 😂 happy caravanning Tris and Nikki

Just spent a brilliant week at our favourite site, Eye Kettleby near Melton Mowbray.

We have had the same mirror break twice in our Swift Freestyle 4SB.
I've not replaced it with a third mirror and haven't bothered putting a door there either. The little corner shelves don't need a door in front of them.

Great video as always! Did you take anytime to explore the country park that the campsite is part of? I grew up in Peterborough and it's really lovely especially for dog walks. We hope to get booked onto the campsite later this year :) Sorry about the mirror. Just a thought, but mirrored tiles that stick onto any surface would do the job. Take care both :)
Hi Chrissie, we didn’t really tbh. Made it to Tesco Serpentine Green 😂 and we only had a couple of nights plus a visit from my sister. We have visited much of the area before (without the caravan) and Dave used to play golf regularly at Thorpe Wood when he was working in Peterborough. We know the park is beautiful and next time we will make sure we make the most of it. Yeah we’re thinking that sort of replacement for the mirror would be better. Thanks & best wishes, Helen & Dave 👍
We’ve got a 2018 virtually the same, and had our mirror break two years ago shortly after we bought it, the hinge at the top had come loose as the screw was rubbish. The catch was misplaced in the triangle corner ! Main issue is the glass is too heavy for them. I’ve had to move the placement of the catch and the way it clips, the screw to the hinge and also added a large magnet catch at the top!! I also have a Perspex replacement mirror to use if and when it breaks again! (Made myself!). I’ve been round the van in all those hard to reach and see places and so many screws only have way in!

but the whole place is busy at weekends especially in school holidays. Recommend tho if you have not been and there’s plenty for children to do.

I found this- As the fragments of a broken mirror still actually reflect a person, and their corrupted soul. You could ground all the pieces into dust...no reflection, no problem!
Another option is to bury all the fragments under a tree at full moon. This is said to realise your soul.
Alternatively you could wash away the bad luck by putting the broken mirror into a southward flowing stream. -
Perhaps it is good luck in a way, especially if you don't replace it. You just need a small mirror for shaving , doing make up and hair, the rest, you can just ask each other how you look...lovely weather. Hope Helen is feeling as well as possible? x
Hello Bry, a wonderful alternative way of dealing with a perceived issue😊 (Dave put it in a skip!!). I’m struggling g with the shoulders, now arms & knees too but I’m dosed up on meds, getting injections when I can and as soon as I said I’m not going private the waiting list came down by 12 months!!!! @@HelenandDave I am doing ok thankyou, better now the sun is shining!! Please think of trying acupuncture. I had 6 weeks [on the NHS] and felt such a relief in much lower pain levels. In my case, it didn't last too long, but a month or so after the 6 weeks, I remained reasonably pain free!!! x

You could try sticky backed plastic (as the BBC call it!) on the back of the mirror. I've used that before and it was just enough to reinforce the mirror. Also, is that toughened glass? It looked like the normal stuff! 😮

I worked in Peterborough for 5 years. The FM park is nice enough but it's always busy. As for Peterborough, I'm not a city person so I won't comment as it would be biased. It's funny, however, how we travel miles to be somewhere whilst others are going to where we live. I spend a good chunk of time on the East Anglian coast 🤣

@@HelenandDave they did offer us a pitch, but tucked away in a corner, and I wouldn't have been able to put the awning and bedroom pod up, so we said we'll return next weekend, but I did confirm my bookings for the remaining bank holidays, that just leaves us any other trips we fancy.
