to be fair, I don't hate them for giving Charizard so much love, it IS one of the most popular pokemon for imo a very good reason, I love it too. I hate them tho for not giving the spotlight for way more (not just Kanto!!) pokes tho... and Gigamantax Meowth seems to be the biggest stupidity ever...
Trash cloak looks like a piece of chewed up bubble gum. Sandy cloak looks like a pile of tan crap saturated in bile. Only the leafy Burmy is truly acceptable as not looking kinda gross. That being said I am not against Burmy but I do prefer the males because Mothim looks better than Wormadam, especially if you are going for shiny.
The spikes on silcoon and cascoon aren’t spikes, they’re strings of silk it uses to suspend itself from trees. I believe some of its animations in Gen 6 onwards show it growing and retracting them.
btw Gen 6 animations were a huge revelation for me in so many cases! easily one of the best things about Gen 6 was not stuff like storyline (average), but going through the brand new 3D dex and checking out all the full-fledged models and animations
I wish ppl gave maractus more a chance, I guess it deseverved to have an evolution to reach that stage cause without it and being slightly less noticeable to catch than the other Pokémon it got forgotten... Which sucks cause it's adorable!
@@kyerenilrem6947 The Monkeys seemed gimmicky since they were mainly used to show off the new Triple and Rotation battles. Gen 3 had a similar issue with there being a number of pair Pokémon to draw attention to double battles who were for the most part kinda trash (Plusle + Minun, Volbeat + Illumise, Solrock + Lunatone, Huntail + Gorebyse, Seviper + Zangoose etc) The monkeys were just less versatile starters you got early in the game that were just the same design redone about 3 times for each type. Maybe if they had a secondary typing upon evolving they could have been more unique but that could have thrown the game balance off more if they gave you too much type diversity so early into your journey.
Probably overshadowed by their Evos. Nobody actually dislikes them or finds them particularly boring, but they are not starters nor, in the case of Pawniard, play a major role in anime or games.
I somehow completely forgot that Sharpedo had a pre-evolution. Also, I think Maractus is really cute. It's a shame that many unpopular Pokemon are from gen 5, though
You know this just caught me. why do everyone in the undertale fandom think sans is everyone's favourite when they're forgetting the other monsters? I get he's powerful and has a epic theme but what about the great papyrus or undyne alphys toriel asgore asriel? Though I like muffet, not because of the fandom but because I love spiders.
Swoobat/Woobat, I love bats and don’t see them always needing to look menacing/dark. Bats can be very detailed, cute and even colorful. So Swoobat earns my love.
Why are you such a Burmy hater? Who are you, Jethrotex? Personally I feel like Oranguru and Passimian are quite unpopular pokemon. When they got revealed I was like "Oh hey, they look interesting", but I don't remember ever encountering them and whever I see them now I'm like "Oh yeah, you exist...". I had to look up their names for this comment but couldn't even find them on Serebii because I had no idea what type they are.. ':)
Antmation I found a oranguru in Pokemon moon and it was very hard to catch and once I did catch it I was almost out of ultra balls and out of anger I named my oranguru curious George.
I love Passimian tbh! he is such a goofball and I find the football design super funny and creative. what sucks is his ability (not Defiant but we've seen Defiant already, I want something new AND usable for this ape).... ideally he should get a boost to all his throwing moves too.
I genuinely love Wormadam. Its design is really clever. Actually I love Castform for similar reasons. And my 2 favorite Pokemon are Sigyliph and Heatmor.
And vanilluxe dosent deserve any hate either there's nothing I dislike about it it's even an ice cream Pokemon and ice cream is my favorite dessert.that is my opinion on Magikarp and vanilluxe.
I used a Maractus on my Black 2 on my team and it was the star of the show. Giga Drain and Ingrain stall while Acupressure does it’s thing. Most gym leaders send out their weakest first so you can often set up against them.
The Japan poll is kinda skewed though, because you have tonnes of mythicals at the top. The whole reason it was conducted was to see which Pokemon would be available in a special event. As such, the poll isn’t accurate.

Quilava is my fave middle stage evolution~~ It just, it looks cool, whenever it's in the anime it's cool and you got a Typhlosion coming but Quilava on its own is also pretty amazing~~
I unironically like all the pokemon listed in this video... They either evolve into something good or I used them at some point. I never liked Cascoon I guess but that's because I thought Beautyfly was such a big cop-out for butterfree. (still used one tho)

I love Woobat and Swoobat, I really don't care what people think. I love Pokemon that evolve with high friendship, really makes me feel accomplished as a trainer. And they are super cute too! (There is some nostalgia involved though, it is one of the first Pokemon I ever caught)
I often think that bug types are often unpopular, and few people hold the type as a favourite overall. My personal favourite is Galvantula, and I haven't met anyone else really.

Those spikes are actually just the cocoon silk attached to stuff, but in the sprites there is no stuff, and in the model since it doesnt make sense to have random floating silk it doesnt have it anymore
I love Pawniard and Woobat T-T I used to use Swoobat as a temporary flying type till i got archen, and he was amazing and incredibly useful, he actually has a decent moveset and should really get some attention. Pawniard, well, it becomes Bisharp and i love dark types.
In my personal opinion, I think vigoroth is one of the better designed Pokémon, I also remember him because in Pokémon black 2 I kept capturing them in pinwheel forest and they kept evolving into slacking after one level which pissed me off, so I guess because of this vigoroth isn’t a forgotten Pokémon to me!

Woo bat helps you get experience with hickeys, it gives kids that lesson early. Therefore it is the best Pokémon and most useful.
