    First off, love the Coyote Peterson reference to the bullet ant. Second, I really enjoyed the video! Insects might not be my first choice of favorite animals, but I still have a tremendous respect for them. I'll definitely be sure to visit this building when I come up to Cincinnati next year!

      I went there last year for a concert (not to the zoo) but the city was very beautiful and lively. I am from Cleveland and it was a very different feel. It definitely felt more like a European city compared to an American one.

    This video really shows the growth of your channel, because in older episodes these were the areas that would always be skipped over, but now you have made two videos (this and Toledo's Museum) that give a fantastic showcase on what many would consider to be "boring" animals. Keep up the great work!

    One of my favorite areas of the Cincinnati Zoo, with so many fascinating and vibrant arthropods. I still prefer the St.Louis zoo insectarium, but this one has better signage and is like walking through a museum.

    Thanks for sharing Zach, and I love the nostalgia. I have always liked the insectarium at the zoo in cincinnati. When I was a kid, I was always fascinated when I watched the leaf cutter ants gather food for their colony. The zoo holds a special place in my heart, as it has been one of the few places where I have been happy regardless of age.

    Can you do a video on Monterey bay aquarium? I'm 95% sure it's in California because i visited it last summer. But still, i would like to see a video for Monterey bay aquarium. And if you do go, i suggest going AFTER around April 9, 2022 because they're gonna have a deep sea exhibit around then

    We oppose the Lacey act

    • @neilchace1858
      @neilchace1858 2 года назад +1

      I think you mean we oppose the AMENDMENTS to the Lacey Act. The Lacey Act as it currently stands I law is perfect fine, it's just the current amendments going through the senate that are problematic.

    • @kevinmiller4457
      @kevinmiller4457 2 года назад

      @@neilchace1858 the Lacey act is not ok it will prevent zoos from transporting anything exotic to another zoo

    • @neilchace1858
      @neilchace1858 2 года назад

      @@kevinmiller4457 that's not the Lacey Act. Those are the AMENDMENTS being proposed to the Lacey Act, which is a current law that does nothing of the sort. The current Lacey Act does add some additional paper work when dealing with certain species (fruit Bats, Meerkat, dhole, raccoon dog are the biggies) but it has not prevented any of these species from thriving in Zoos, although raccoon dog and dhole programs do struggle for other reasons. The amendments proposed would make things more difficult- and I oppose these amendments, but we need to be clear of the difference between the Act (current law), and the amendments (proposed and currently in the senate). Also- much of the Lacey Act has nothing to do with zoo animals, and with wildlife trafficking, shark fins, etc.
