Seeing this guy play was the scariest musical experience of my life. I can't really think of a more complete improvising pianist since Mehldau. His musical voice is so heart breakingly unique. His technique is just about as good as you get, and his rhythmic and melodic concepts are astonishing. Truly a once in a generation musician.

"The artist lives in a dreamlike inner world which is as realistic as the physical one. The artist lives in the world where the moment of the unconscious creation is the way to feel conscious, from which poems and melodies and stories arise, inspired by the divine mystery. Unutterable seconds of longing, subliminal realization, and mostly joy fill the body as a work of art, a poem, or a melody is being born into this world for no apparent reason, but only for the humanity to discover what is invisible: the divine mystery."

@@mcrettable That's not what anyone is saying. A musician should constantly strive to become more skilled to a point that any concept of music created inside their mind can be placed easily onto a drum kit, or keyboard, or what have you, without limitations. Tigran has dedicated his life to this instrument to be at the level he is at today. If you don't want to improve, you are wasting your own time as well as everyone else's.

The passion flows so strongly through him while he plays it's like nothing I've ever seen. Maybe I just haven't watched enough pianists, but man, seeing him unable to restrain himself from beatboxing along to the notes, and the fact that he can even carry those two motions at the same time... the sounds are even present in the background throughout the album, it's an inseparable part of his performance. Scary and fascinating

Ladies and gentlemen, the next Chick Corea. Oh my god that was amazing.
My dumb ass brother in law walked in near the end and said it "takes no musical talent to play some stupid chords and do that beat box thing" ... I almost KICKED his ass out of the house ... and he lives with us.
