    I just took Business Administration courses this year, and I have come to the conclusion that anything that is being taught there can be learned online. Discipline is definitely vital in self-learning, and if one has that, I would say there is no need to take an expensive course.

    I got conned in to starting a business I had no idea about and didn’t have the finances for. It was during Covid when I wanted to learn about real estate investing and the slick snake oil salesman made everyone think you can start a real estate wholesaling company without using your own money. I ended up failing in that business and wasted a lot of money in the process. I really wish I had this video then. I love this advice.

    Please make more videos about skill stacking as a future business owner. I am 31 years old now, and I suffered earlier in my career because I was impatient and felt like I wanted everything right away. I beat myself up for not starting that sexy new startup while I didn’t have any actual skills or experiences to leverage. Now, I’m in a role that allows me to learn the nuts and bolts of finance/accounting because I have an actual outlet for my passive knowledge. In the long-run, I am putting myself in a position to do something interesting (build a business).
    I feel like taking your time to learn on the job is the right approach for most people wanting to be future entrepreneurs and I try to remind myself of this frequently. The only thing I’d add is “planned serendipity” to increase your luck.

    I started a business in my 50’s. Up until then i got all necessary qualifications and experienced the corporate world. You have to learn from established business before doing it alone. In my 50’s I then had experience, a strong network and deep understanding of the market. Up until I didn’t know where the gaps in the market where.

    • @TheBestWill
      @TheBestWill  10 месяцев назад +2

      Totally agree. The problem I see a lot of is people thinking they need to start a business now or they'll miss out. That's rarely the case, except when there is a new innovation to capitalize on. And even then, MOST new businesses will still fail.... even more likely if the founders don't have a solid business background.

    Man, i wish mark zuckerberg took your advice when he was younger, he'd be so rich by now. Dont start a business before stufying the market your going into- agreed. If there is buzz around a certain industry, your sittingon limited time bfore a bust happens. Starting a business is allot about time. Its clear what the older generation wants (unmotivated and mediocre) people want is for me to becme dependent on a paycheck from a company that can fire me any second. Pets put it this way, if you have to try to convince someone to not start a business out of fear of it becoming a sucess, your already in a losing battle. Thus, im not even mad at you, its actually somewhat kinda sad.

    • @TheBestWill
      @TheBestWill  10 месяцев назад +3

      How many Mark Zuckerbergs are there in the world? 1. Your argument is like saying that a solid investment plan is to buy a lottery ticket. The only problem with that plan is that only 1 person wins the lottery and everyone else ends off poorer for trying. A far better plan is to actually learn about how business works before trying to start a business. I'm not even mad at you. But it's kinda sad you think you might be the next Zuckerberg and the world needs you now. Good luck with that.
