Ah, the memories. A friend of mine had this and as kids we played this for hours and hours, competing to see who could get the biggest fish in coop. We used that lure all the way to the right 99% of the time because it reminded us of a scorpion and scorpions are cool. Mind, we couldn't speak or read English back then xD Seems like the metal jig is quite OP.
Oh nostalgia, played game all the time back in the day, and actually I pulled out my old PlayStation and played this game the other night and had just as much fun as I did back then
I never finish all the challenge, especially at Japan stage. You can easily catch the fish and finish the stages. Thank you for showing the whole gameplay, GG 👍
I still remember that I can only manage to complete this World Monster Fishing stage only 1 or 2 stage only, never manage to finish the whole challenge Props on you for the great job finishing this challenges
Hahaha, the sequel (Big ol' Bass 2) is even more amusing because we can catch a dinosaur using a fishing rod and a line that can withstand tons of weight. 😁
What are the odds for you immediately completed Comoros Stage requirements in one-go?! xD And i didn't realize the variant, Xien Rong Yuigh is in the first game.
It's because I like lures that can sink quickly to the bottom of the water and then easily rise to the surface, making the lure appear aggressive enough to attract big fish. In this case, only Metal Jig and Worm that are suitable for my preference. Moreover, in my experience, Metal Jig attracts larger fish more than Worm.
My usual bait every country USA: Spinner Bait blue colour Comoros: Minnow blue colour Japan: Metal Jig yellow colour Brazil: Popper white red colour Egypt: Crank Bait yellow colour UK: Metal Jig blue colour China: Pencil Bait blue colour That's all 😂
The intro music, the nostalgia, the announcer going "fisherman's bait two!"
The lore behind World Monster Fishing must be dark with the world's monuments being flooded.
I was thinking that too as a kid. Still really cool
The wiki sayid it is setted on a post apocalyptic world
I was a kid my brother and I tried so hard for that damn blue Rong. Finally got him. Still have the memory card with my biggest fish caught!

Oh nostalgia, played game all the time back in the day, and actually I pulled out my old PlayStation and played this game the other night and had just as much fun as I did back then
Every time I have a good mood to play games, this game is always on my list.

Brilliant game, used to play it for hours with cans of lager.
😂😂😂 when you lift the fish out of water you can move it around with the Dpad. Always made me laugh when it was one of the giant fish like 11:44😂😂
Nice job for Coelacanth hahaha for the first time !
Thanks. 😊
I was just lucky to catch that monster fish on the first cast.
@@Playonaut really i was shocking that fish target and I said my self what?!!!!!!
I still remember that I can only manage to complete this World Monster Fishing stage only 1 or 2 stage only, never manage to finish the whole challenge
Props on you for the great job finishing this challenges
Love how you could just catch a 498 lb fish and just casually lift it with one hand lol
Hahaha, the sequel (Big ol' Bass 2) is even more amusing because we can catch a dinosaur using a fishing rod and a line that can withstand tons of weight. 😁
I never saw one THAT HUGE O.O
@@Playonaut Exactly U can check on fisherman bait 3 or exciting bass 2 something I guess

My record :
Coelacanth : 495 lbs
Pharaoh Perch : 1036 lbs
Rong Yuigh(aka Xien Rong Yuigh) : 1665 lbs

What are the odds for you immediately completed Comoros Stage requirements in one-go?! xD

0.01%, I think. Comoros is one of if not the most time consuming stage
Muito Nostálgico! Obrigada por compartilhar ❤
😢!) До сих пор играю в первую и вторую часть!)😊
The final one is very difficult
Of course! Konamis the best
Man that Rong yuigh is tough
Yup, Blue Rong-Yuigh is tough, as always.
The tension is so sensitive that whenever I encounter that fish, I have to reel it in carefully.
@@Playonaut yeah I can see that
Wish I could hold up a 498 lbs fish with one hand 😂
I was hoping you could play a bit longer on Comoros stage but u just catch monster fish 😭
Smoke a little weed catching some fish. Good times ❤
Legend ( ͡ ͜ʖ ͡ )🙏🏻🤲🏻👍🏻
Love that game !! Do you play that on ps1 ?
U were always using metal jig as fish bait , why u choose that ?

@@Playonaut good on ya
go go go
I wish they made a new one XD
I know the lure is called a metal jig, but did I actually just hear it *ding* against the ocean floor?
Yes, but it’s not ocean. All fishes here are fresh water.
@@theraiden9631 Okay. But you know what I meant.

Is the Rong-Yuigh fish real?
No. The coelacanth and Pharaoh perch are, though. (Albeit much smaller and the latter is called a Nile perch)
Size-wise, the closest real life fish to the Rong Yuigh may be the Chinese Sturgeon, which can stretch 15 feet and weigh 1000 lbs.
