    Itinerary: El Nido Tour B
Palawan has been recognized multiple times by various international groups and travel guides as one of the best islands in the world. Much of it has been attributed to its natural beauty with immaculate white sand beaches, crystal clear blue waters, lush green forests, wide range of mountain peaks, and exemplary wildlife. In a tourism perspective, El Nido bears a chunk for this recognition as in other international citations, the town alone has been heralded as one of the best places in the world.
El Nido is a 1st class municipality located at the northern tip of Palawan mainland. Its total land area is approximately 92,326 hectares, that is about 3.20 percent of the total land area of the Province of Palawan.
It is characterized by rugged hills and mountainous terrain. Only small patches of lowlands are present which occur on minor coastal plains and some stream alluvial valleys. More than 50 percent of El Nido has very steep slopes. These physical characteristics pose as a physical limitation for the municipality in terms of expanding its development area.
The municipality has 18 barangays. Four of which are situated in the Población (town proper), and are also known by their respective zones. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 50,494 people.
From its citations and recognitions, El Nido indeed boasts its natural beauty as its top asset especially in tourism. Seemingly, beach tourism is the highlight of El Nido. More so, its rich coastal and terrestrial biodiversity and unique natural landscape makes it also a nature destination. The tourist sites that are often visited by the tourists in the tour packages include both the natural and cultural attractions of the municipality.
Cultural attractions include caves that have recently been discovered to have archeological artifacts of the early inhabitants of El Nido.
Tour packages are offered by local travel agencies. Normally, the tours cover different island beaches and lagoons. The most famous destinations in the municipality are the Small and Big Lagoons. Meanwhile, mainland tourism attractions include the Nacpan Beach, Lio Beach, Taraw Cliff, Duli Beach and Ille Cave.
    WEATHER CONDITION
El Nido is best visited from November to May wherein one is able to breathe the cool breeze of north-eastern winds; experience the comfort and ease of island hopping; and enjoy water activities to the fullest. On the other hand, the southwest monsoon that causes rain and strong winds usually begins from June to October. Due to the weather being less cooperative during this time, discounted rates from hotels and resorts are usually offered to tourists.
    SANDFLIES AND OTHER INSECTS ADVISORY
Beware of sand flies and other insect bites. Bring insect repellent with you and apply it from time to time, particularly when staying on the beach.
    PLANKTON AND JELLYFISH ADVISORY
Plankton and jellyfish blooms are yearly occurrences in the waters of El Nido. To avoid getting stung, wearing of protective clothing such as wetsuits and rash guards is highly advised. When stung unexpectedly, an antihistamine lotion will help soothe the itch.
