Musical “VIOLET” (2024) [Tomona Yabiku ver.] public performance!

The musical “VIOLET” will open at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre Playhouse on Sunday, April 7, 2024. This work was launched as a Japan-UK joint project between Umeda Arts Theater and Charing Cross Theatre in the UK, with director Shuntaro Fujita visiting the UK alone and presented the “UK cast version” in London with the local cast and crew in 2019. The production garnered attention at the Off West End Theatre Awards (TheOffies), where it was nominated in six categories, including the prestigious “Best Production” award. Four years have passed since the 2020 performance, when the “Japanese cast version” was staged for a limited three-day run in Tokyo only after the show was canceled due to the Coronavirus disaster, and now it is being staged again.
The cast includes Toko Miura, Tomona Yabiku, Keisuke Higashi, Toshiki Tateishi, sara, Seiya Wakabayashi, Daisuke Moriyama, Yuna Taniguchi, Sakiho Juri, Yuichi Harada, spi, Yuzuha Ikuta, Sakura Kamura, and Yuzuki Mizutani. The story follows Violet, who suffered a serious facial injury as a child, on her first journey in life to meet a miracle TV preacher who can heal any wound.
