Amazing atmosphere - I went to this game last September. Great weekend in Belgrade and managed to see another game the previous day as well - RAD Belgrade v FK Radnik. I will definitely return but next time would like to see the game at Marakana so that I've done the derby in both stadiums. Maximum respect to the Serbs for keeping the atmosphere real. Football in England now is dead.

@@neilbassett9415 Yeah it's easy enough mate. I mean I went with a company called homefans.net - they're worth checking out. For about £260 I got 3 nights in a hotel plus my match ticket, stadium tours at both Red Star and Partizan and the guy who was leading the trip introduced us to a few of his mates as well. Was a great trip. If you're looking to fly solo you'd still be fine. Most of the derbies don't sell out and you can pretty much rock up the day before. I would totally recommend it either way. I've seen football all over and it's one of the best occasions I've ever been to

I remember when I was a little boy in the 80's. At that time, there were no chairs everyone was allowed to stand. Marakana was packed 80000 +++. It's been almost 30 years since I was there BUT I'll never forget that atmosphere. The whole stadium shook and moved. It was so loud that you could not hear yourself talking, it shone everywhere. It was not possible to stand still because the whole mass was moving. That was a football atmosphere that I will never forget. I try to explain to my son but it is not possible it must be experienced. I shudder when I think about it.

I remember watching the likes of Arsenal against us and what inspiration it gave me. I remember watching our lads dismantle Norwich with the likes of Mitrovic and Wijnaldum, I remember suffering relegation and even being defeated twice in one season by Blackburn for Christ Sake! I have been to so many games that I know all the words of "The Blaydon Races" I remember going *abroad* to the Europa League and travelling to the likes of Anzhi Makhachkala in one of the most dangerous cities (being the Republic of Dagestan) and winning! I remember my dad paying hundreds for tickets just to suffer loss after loss, AND EVEN THEN THE GEORDIES STILL TURN UP! I know what atmosphere is and you cannot talk to me like a fucking Man City fan who lives in Mumbai and has never visited a game in his life.

i went to this ground in 87 to see England beat the then yugoslavia 4-1. They segregated Red Star/Partizan and England in the ground! They lit fires on the terraces and did some strange synchronized whistling too.The lot next to us also strangely sung "we love The Shed" which was nice as im a Chelsea fan. Great trip
that lot next to you is Partizan's sector! Partizan's fans were for the English style of cheering, while Red Star fans were for the Italian style of cheering.

BoJaN87M It’s all about style of play though. For example Newcastle are in the prem but play terrible park the bus football whilst teams like Leeds and Brentford in the championship play some great attacking football.
