Just curious... what part of the world is that you are working in? Around here it is near impossible to make money with a machine like that cause we can't use grapple skidders and we can't move many loads due to terrain. If I can ever get my greedy dad to retire I am going to move the operation to somewhere easier to work. I been a mountain goat for 30 years now and im about tired of it if you know what I mean...LoL An 830E is my dream machine BTW!! Nice!
I've followed your channel for a while now, finally sub! I'm from West of you in Butler county and I used to run an 830 for a landclearing company up until about a year ago. I miss working in the woods but not under the circumstances that I was in, those machines are fun to run all day long and I loved cutting big wood. Congratulations on your new purchase.
So looking back over the used bunchers you had, if you could do it over would you go brand new from the jump? Obviously some of that decision is financial for a lot of folks, but it seems like used bunchers have a lot of down time so even if your payment is less you still lose money working on the thing every 3 days instead of slaying wood non stop
I started out with a wore out skidder loader and a chainsaw. And the bank needs to see how much profit you made each year. And the amount of money they will lend you is determined by your profit you made each year. Unless you have a co signer or your living out of your daddy's hip pocket. Which I had neither. I bought used until I could afford new.
It does pretty good in big hardwood. That's what I've been cutting all summer. Im working on another video. But haven't had time to put it together and post it.
What you running for skidders I ran 6 wheel tigercat and a 620 tigercat builds the best woods equipment in my opinion I’m in Maine they sell them in Madison
Ponsse makes a phenomenal product IMO, but they are exclusively cut to length machines. Also just my opinion, but when you're talking tree length operations, tigercat is gonna be your best bet. But like I said, this is just a random Internet dude spouting opinions.😂
im watching this because im looking to get my first TC processor, needs to be tilt for our hills her in pa….. how many BF you getting out a day, AVERAGE?

Playing hop scotch with the weather man. Trying to keep wood running at a steady pace this time of the year has it's challenges
Same here. Been out the woods a little over 2 months, finished up the last job just today. It has rained plenty here in Nawth Cackilacki
You should buy ponsse.

I'm 100% tonnage. The machine can put 25 to 30 load a day on the ground. I bounce between loader and cutter.
