Hey Chuck, Sure is fun grabbing gears. Sucks when joints, straps or bolts break! Enjoy your new yoke and keep grabbing those gears! Hope your cataract gets taken care of quickly! Be well! Mark Hovorka
Mercy. One of those things we all take for granted on these old cars, come back to bite you in da ass Chuck. It happens. At least the yoke didn't fight coming off there (they do oftentimes). My next adventure with Fred is I'm returning his brand new drum brakes in the front back to manual adjustment - I'm done chasing a bad pull to one side, so we'll do it the old-fashioned way from now on. See you in the next one, - Ed on the Ridge
I just thought I'd introduce myself if you are going to attend the show definitely put that on your bucket list make your hotel room a year in advance definitely want to go for three days if you want to see everything
Are you running the 7290 or 7260 size U-joints? Don't be so hard on yourself... I will never "grow up" if I have a Hurst 4 speed shifter at my right hand! Just beef it up so you can enjoy it without the breakage. I'm so glad that Louise is still HOME!
You're right Bob. After I made the video I decided that a big part of the problem was the rusted threads in the yoke. I think that the missing bolt had left the property before everything else quit working.
Good thing you wasn't too far from home.
Indeed. Could have been a lot longer day.
Really enjoyed!
Thanks Raymond!

Yeah, it was fun right until she broke! Luckily I had some parts there at the house. Get to see the Doc in the morning.
Thanks Mark
Bummer. The joys of driving older cars. At least it is an relatively easy repair.
That's for sure.
Mercy.

Yuup, sure can take a good bite. Have fun with the brake job.
Are you going to Carlisle Pennsylvania for the Chrysler Nationals this year in July
I'm not planning on it but I'd like to make it at least once. It's a pretty good haul from St. Louis.

Thanks, that's how it is with Nationals too. We've been going the AirBnb route lately.

Thanks Frank, that's funny. They're 7260 in that car, just changed the Cuda to 7290. I still like to hear tires squeal once in a while.
to cure the problem change caps to ubolts and yoke much less problems

I joint is backwards Greece fitting should be towards the drive shaft not to differential
Yeah, I noticed that after I was done.
Thanks
