I wanna thank my dad for listening to this kind of music. He's the only reason I listen to good music.
Same here ... (this is actually the girlfriend on the boyfriend's account lol)
I got into it on my own pretty much... lol.
More people should listen to their dad's music :-)
My Dad grew up to Honkey-tonk tunes, so I heard a lot of that, but it never meant anything to me.
Then, as a pre-teen, I bought a small transistor radio back in the 70s and listened to rock classics like this under the stars of a clear night sky, far from cities.
This was the music that captured my imagination and made me want to explore that big awaiting world out there.
I'm happy to see that this timeless music still appeals to younger generations, who like me, find it amazing and inspiring.
Right on.
That guitar lick.
That melody.
That guitar solo.
Those words.
That song is perfect. Thanks BOC.
You forgot the cowbell 😂😂
And the drum fills. If someone asks what a drum fill is, refer them to this song.
I agree, perfect rock song right here!!! Very talented band
Blue oyster aka dome
@@davidcrow3101the drum fills and that bass ❤
Tomorrow will be 9 years my grandma has been gone, she was the closest thing I had to A mom. I always listen to the blue oyster cult and remember riding in her green trail blazer after school. I miss you grandma. ❤️
This has got to be one of the best eulogies I've seen, ever. Short, sweet, poignant, beautiful. Lord bless you, grandma, keep on riding around and blazing those trails.
She still rides with you.
Great memories Makayla :)
👍
Sweet memories 😊 always share them
That Guitar solo doesn't get enough respect
one of the greats
Don't forget the bass guitar.
This song and "don't fear the reaper" are two of the best songs of all time!!!!
Cam Raimo They are definitely two damned good songs, yes. Check out Rush for a bunch of other contenders.
RUSH, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Yes and ofc Blue Oyster are the gods of 70s hard rock IMO
And The Who.
exa121RETURNS fuck floyd
The Who is weak
Blue Oyster Cult, Boston, Dire Straits, all those old rock bands are so awesome. I hear music like this all the time on this one radio station and I love it.
Absolutely these guitarist were monsters difficult stuff to replicate
My father showed me many bands growing up. I am super thankful for him showing me real music and not the shit that is played today.
This song makes me feel good
Your profile picture says it all
No shizzle. Do what you feel..leave me alone. Get off my lawn...
mhm
The best comment ever!💯💯
Me too
i'm 500 years old and truly love this song!
I'm 600 and still love this song
Max is about 120
You a vampyre
I'm on my 7th life cycle and this has been the best life so far. The music now is orgasmic compared to the old music we went to war with
I'm 37 and same
I am an American temporarily living in a Chinese city of 14 million. This song makes me want to get in a convertible and head east from LA across the deserts of California and Arizona, the open road doesn't seem to exist here in China.
The last days of May would go down good in that situation.
Brian Young are you back yet did you get that convertible do what you say you wanted to
Hope you did get that convertible buddy!
Brian Young hope you got what you what wanted pal!!
I did not get what I wanted.
Older songs are so much better than today's music. Blue Oyster Cult is AWESOME
Bilal Rana. boc song godzilla was ripped off for teen spirit
It's possible to compliment older music without putting down newer music. There are also GENRES of music, same type of music.
I agree
If you want good new stuff that has the same spirit as the old music, you gotta look on independent music stores like bandcamp or cdbaby. They won't play it on the radio if its not trending.
@@oiyabastard7275 those two sound nothing alike
Old school rock n' roll will always remind me of my dad. I grew up listening to rock because of him and have developed a love for all things rock due to him. This song for some reason reminds me of my childhood a lot. ROCK N' ROLL WILL LIVE ON FOREVER!!!!
My dad graduated in 1985 and he's got me stuck on 80s music
Know the feeling. My mom used to play all the great classics growing up. I'm grateful looking back on it! Best music.
Rock on brother
@@rickrod7898 I graduated in 85 too
Right on ❤️👍
I was born in '69 & became a teenager in the 80's.The 90's weren't bad, but the 80's rocked!!!
Hell no! The 90's sucked big time. The 80's were awesome.
I’ve had this song stuck in my head for weeks, because it’s awesome, well done boys👍✅
Me randomly today, love this classic! Especially the “I’m living for giving the devil its due”
This song reminds me of someone who died that was very important to me. I loved her very much. I miss you Deana, this song is for you.
I remember first hearing this song in the mid-2000s as a kid during a trip from my home in NJ to Newark Airport for a trip to see my grandparents who were living in FL at the time. One of those many moments where I realized this music is AWESOME!!! :)
I am just glad that I was a teenager back then.Lots of wonderful memories.
I saw them in the late seventies and these dudes rocked it! I got to go back stage and hang with them after the show and I had the time of my life! Really cool guys to chill with, talk music in general, not just theirs and do simply what I normally do with good friends any other day of my life.... hippies love to kick it... peace/love/hippieness
BOC is just a great hard rocking band.
One of the best ever.
Elf man Agreed my friend
just rediscovered this song and can't get enough of it.
Whenever I'm falling asleep trying to stay awake on night shift or driving...anything from B.O.C. instantly cuts through the haze and Wakes me up...love this music!!!😴😱
I was born in '67. Thank God there is enough rock n roll to last me til I croak ! It'll never be this good again, EVER !
i normally listen to electronic music..but i gotta admit...this has to be one of my favorite ORIGINAL making music band!!!!
Same here. Not only is it a great track, but it's a great recording as well. As is the rest of the album.
Two sweet intros, back to back, the latter that then serves as a catch-your-breath bridge throughout, and then a crisp ringing-reggae rhythm over a driving, nimble bass, and finally one of the snappiest solos ever. This song has everything. My local classic rock station plays this song all the time and I turn it up each time.
I'm a 80s baby and love driving to this jam!!
blue oyster cult brought me here
fuck this generation
+Iolla Rauschenbach Fuck you and society!
+Shotgun Vengence I'd fuck me....I guess
+Donovan Schmitz Hi, I'm Barack Obama and I approve of this message.
love this song!
Reading thru the comment sections, I learned what Blue Oyster Cult means to people.
1. Freaking amazing music
2. FREAKING COWBELL
I work at Target and i hear this from the piped in feed at least once a day. This song is like a mirage; so peaceful and tranquil but when it ends i forget every single lyric. so the last time, i ran and got a pen to write down as much as i could and now i have finally found it! :D
One of the best rock 'n' roll songs of 1981! 💖🎸
Love this song. Can't listen to it without thinking of supernatural. That car crash was huge. The way Sam called out for his brother Dean, it was so cute. He can't live without him cause he's the one that raised him. That brother love always hits me in the feelings.
these songs always put me in a state of mind that gets me focused nd thinking bout my life nd whats going on now it just gets so tranquil nd I just feel so good nd peaceful in my mind with a feeling of zen. I know u probly don't care I just wanted to express my feelings for this awesome band :)
Adam on Supernatural...this is his theme song...had to say it!
OMG YES
One of the greatest songs in history. Not to be overlooked.
I'm 15 and I hate my generation for what they did to music in these days... THIS is real music and it's awesome.
This song brings me back!
why hasn't anyone mixed this with Don't Fear The Reaper? the melodies with this and Lovesong by the Cure fit so well!
Poor Tuesday and Wednesday...never loved...
I am burning for you and burning one for you... ☮ &💗
For some reason, this song creates a strange combination of nostalgia and longing in me, that almost brings me to tears when I'm in a bad mood. I have no Idea why though.
all I can say is thank you. I've listen to that song for about 30 years and that one line about suns freezing always escaped me. thank you for clearing up the mystery
i dedicate this song to Andy Pierson family'' Andy passed away last year' A Great Lead Guitarist he was'' he played this hole album like a pro when i performed with him..God Bless'''
I haven't heard this song in forever and it just randomly popped in my head at work yesterday. lol
"I'm burnin', I'm burnin, I'm burnin for you"
STDs are rough
BOC...ONE OF THE GREATS!
Brings back memories of days when my parents rocked out the neighborhood with good music. Glad I grew up listening to timeless music! Rock on!!!
Who’s still jamming to this during the second half of 2024?
Jamming? Im doing it for karaoke
I am younger than this song and enjoy it! I just thought everyone needs to hear that! Now, where's my cookie?
Ahhh back when music was really music!
Al escuchar esta canción se me vienen muchas sensaciones, emociones, recuerdos y alegrías, es un temonazo que ritmos que calidad.

Memories of Guitar Hero Warriors Of Rock.
Good times c':
Needs more Cowbell
Yosuke Hanamura You should be the next president
I redid this song a bit added a cowbell a few sticks a couple times.
love all these tunes.
some people only listen to the songs you have to listen to the lyrics to know the true meaning of it
I think listening to a song on the radio is better than a music video. It lets you picture what the video is in your own mind.
Gives the whole art being subjective thing some truth
what kinda nigga named ron smith
jrs SMITH He's out on the road missing home, missing his girl bad. ..........or he's giving the Devil his due and he's willing to burn in hell fire for Satan. I'm guessing the song means he's tired of the road and missing his lady friend.
+Randy Jones actually most people have interpreted it as Satan
Michael Myers two thousand nine brought me here the song is awesome the movie was trash
B O C one of the best bands of its time musically as well as lyrically guess that's why even today they are still listened to by millions xD
I love them so much. 🖤
This sounds a lot better on a shitty radio

I FUCKING LOVE THIS SONG
suburbantaco.

Same
Who doesn’t?
suburbantaco. hey listen again
Supernatural! 1x17 Ending.. :)
the 80's was the last decade for really good music
I agree
I think the '90s were. The it's like....What happened?
+Daniel Glover You Have Got to Be kidding There were less Rock hits in the 80's than any decade other than the '90's and since. It all has to do with limited 4 cord progressions. There are only so many ways to place them and when they are all used there are no More "logical" progressions left therefore NOTHING new.
+jperschino So these types of tunes were becoming more rare by the minute after the '70's ended simply because That WAS the decade of Rock proliferation and genius
Nah, 90s was awesome. It was the best decade for sludge, stoner rock, and southern metal. Not to mention grunge bands like Alice in chains and pearl jam and the new wave of doom metal bands following in the footsteps of black sabbath..
If you think everything I listed sucks, you can kiss my left nut
Yes, music was better back then.
This song never gets old ❤
I am with you. Whenever I have to travel early in the morning I find a classic rock station to keep me awake.
I bought my first BOC album (The Black and the Red) from the 99 cent bin at Woolworths in Honolulu, 1974! I've loved 'em ever since!
These guys rock!!!!!!!!
I love this song
This should be Bernie Sanders campaign song lol, don't even support him but come on, he's berning 4 u
Hahahahahahahaha
+SnakeDoctorSilver And he's livin' for givin' the devil his due. (not usually seeing reason to put up a fight)
xahaxaha
Fuckin' brilliant!

Burning for you is still an awesome song in 2019. No songs can ever be like that again!
One of my favorite old groups!

I'm an eldritch being and love this song!
Thank you very much for posting this video with the lyrics-and particularly for doing them WELL, with all the spelling and even the punctuation correct. That is so rare, and I value it highly.
Such a sexy opening riff. I wanna play this on my guitar allll night looong :P
That guitar solo is amazing
I remember hearing the very beginning of this song when I was very young. It was very early in the morning and we were getting into the car to go somewhere. I'm not sure where though. This song brings back so many memories.

My life's song.
Haha I finally understand this song.
man i still don't get, i like it, but i just... don't get it... what's it about??
that's the problem, i didn't live it but if you could explain to me a little bit so i could have an idea of what i'm singing about i'd appreciate it
oohhhh thanks a lot, i didn't expect that but still, kinda explains a lot, i'll try my best to watch that video.
The best thing is that now i have idea of what i'm singing
Best song of that year easily

I might be 3 years late, but I just came from that song because I saw a comment that said these two songs sounded similar and I wanted to test it 😂 it’s true tho
