We were there just a couple of weeks ago. We sat on a Saturday night and saw some pale orange lights hovering over the fields. Wondered if there had been any circles that day. Didn't hear of any.

...beautiful video ...(if I had never seen a crop formation video but tried to imagine what it should be like - this is it..!)...and a very "peculiar design" not that complex, but not too "simple" either - five pointed stars, skewed almost "comically", but also squares - overlayed...and rectangles - all depending on how you choose to look at this formation - definitely not an "intuitive" design...and then the amazing treatment of the "downed" crop around the center...a expression of extraordinary capability...
I wish the camera would have "buzzed" those people standing in a large ring... : )
To me it looks a bit like Sacred geometry with a cogg near the centre.
I walked through this one. Just happened to be in the area.

It depends on the formation. Some say "Nike" some say "Sears" it's a matter of who paid for the advertisement or if was made to demonstrate the artistic skills of the crew that made the formation. I remember three that were made to advertise a TV show called "Lexx" and I remember one for "Alienware computers" that got a lot of attention. Of course the Nike and Sears were very obvious advertisements.
Some think so, Cathy. We look for messages and signs in them all the time. I think that's the whole point in crop circles. They probably are more than just pretty graphics in wheat.

they do brag about them. It's called advertisement and cost is pretty high. do some research and you'll find a few advertisement agencies that specialize in this art form.
Others are simply showing off what they can do before they approach a business that can afford the high cost.
