Wow, I am very impressed with how your fireweed ink turned out! Such a beautiful colour and surprisingly saturated 💖 This reminded me of when we would make blue dye from woad in kindergarden. Off to research now, if that could be used as ink as well ... you've inspired me 😁✨
Oh Julia I am so happy you are inspired and loved that you did something similar in kindergarten!! So so cool. I hope you find something fun to turn into ink!💛✨
Isn't it?! And, yes it was my first time!!! And I have foraged materials to make new ink but haven't actually made them yet! haha hoping to sometime soon though!
Ink made from leaves are very acidic. In time, it can react with paper and slowly "burn" through and damage it. The baking soda neutralizes the chemical reaction. Also, to prevent mold you can add cloves - powdered or whole - while boiling the "tea" down. It also makes your house smell great! 😸 Best wishes from Vermont 🍁
The bottle you used for your ink is the cutest ever!!!!
We make tea from fireweed. Try it.
Wow - so cool!
Thank you!!!
I adored everything about this video. And those mushroom ink bottles. I NEED to get me some of those. Thank you 🍂
Thank you so much! And aren't they amazing?! I happened upon them in an antique store! Such a cool find!
@@RandiLynnReed yes, what a find. I loves me a flea market, antique stall or charity shop. Finding finds and wee treasures makes me 😃
