My favorite person (Khalil) advised me on seven things. He advised me to love those in need and be close to them. He advised me to look at those below me and not look at those above me. He advised me to keep family ties even if they turn away. He advised me to not ask anyone for anything. He advised me to speak truthfully even if it’s bitter. He advised me to never fear, for the sake of Allah, what people might say. And he advised me to frequently say La hawla wala quwwata illa billah. To frequently say, “There is no might or power except by Allah.” and they are from the treasures of the Throne. Or the treasures of Jannah. Or the treasures of good. [Musnad Ahmad]
