The Tagalog part of Rico J’s performance goes..
Alaala nang tayo’y magsweetheart pa (Memories when we were still sweethearts)
Namamasyal pa sa Luneta, na walang pera (Strolling in Luneta without money)
*Luneta (now called Rizal Park) is a public park in Manila where sweethearts with not much money, go on a date.

That is a wonderful list of singers . Their songs filled our house when I was younger because my father loved listening to them. They have timeless voices.
During his prime in the 70s, Rico Puno is one among few who can fill the biggest coliseum in Asia - the Araneta Coliseum in the Philippines to the rafters.
During his heyday, he was one of the Philippines most idolized and legendary singers...listening to his music today still gives me chills down my spine...his versatility and vocal range is unforgettable...
Thanks Waleska & Efra. May Rico Puno rest in peace. One of the great entertainers of the Phils. 😇🌹🙏
Rico J. has lots of Timeless hits ..One of them is 'May Bukas Pa' ❤ 'There's Still Tomorrow' in English. Very inspirational song.❤
Almost watched already maybe half of your reaction videos to Filipino singers. For me you are the best reactors that I've discovered in youtube. Besides being so young, the Two of you knows what you are saying. And your music vocabulary is wide that never short of explanation. I LOVE YOU both.

The late Rico J. Puno was a well-liked artist and entertainer who wowed a lot of audiences with his charm and pleasing personality. When he retired from singing professionally, he delved into public service till he passed several years ago.
O yes! This is the part where Efra is sooooo sweet to his father 😍😍😍😍😍

He was singing here when he was in 50s already...he sounded much better when he was younger. A legendary crooner in his heydays.

The Total Performer... RICO J. PUNO. May he RIP...
Rico Puno is also one the best male singer in the Philippines in the 90's! My favorite too! 👏👏👏
This is not even in his prime. He was in college studying business during the day and performed in bars at night when he pioneered inserting Tagalog words into English songs. “The Way We Were” clicked with the students in the university belt and eventually made him so BIG in the country.
well as everyone knows rico j was discovered by the commodores where lionel richie was one member of the four-group. .vic del rosario offered them a treat after their concert. .he brought the four to the palazzi where rico j was a regular performer. .rico sang so good that one of the member could not help but praised and duetted with him on stage. .vic del rosario recognized the talent and gave rico a recording break. . rest is history. .
"together forever" i my most favorite songs of late Rico J
MORE RICO J PLS
Rico j! God rest his soul!
Hi beautiful souls. I'm surprised that up to now nobody is requesting you to watch El Gamma Penumbra on asia's got talent. It's a unique performance by a pinoy group. It's called shadow playing. I'm sure you will like it. Thank you
People miss him for sure. It was such a sad time when he passed on October 2018. He has a funny personality who loves to joke around. Indeed a great performer.

Rico J Puno was a big hit in the 70's to 80's...during his church wedding one of his principal sponsor was Imelda Marcos the former first lady of the Philippines. He's also a politician a former councilor of the City of Manila
Please, try reacting to 'OPM Hit Makers' of the 70's & 80's feat. Rico J. Puno.
hi Efra and Waleska: Martial Law prohibited foreign acts to perform in the country and encouraged performers to sing using the native dialects. This was Rico's tribute to Gladys Knight's (and the Pips?) THE WAY WE WERE where she annotated for the first few minutes_ and that made it a classic.
My Idol Rico J
Im a fan of rico puno!
Rico J. Puno was a crooner. His style is reminiscent of old school crooners like Frank Sinatra, Paul Anka and Matt Monro. But he mixes in a lot of humor and his Playboy personality which was a hit with women back in the 70s and 80s. Jose Mari Chan was a scion of a sugar plantation owning family, he grew up wanting to be a music artist so he indulged in it during his youth, but duty required him to take over the family business later on so he retired from the music industry but makes guest appearances once in a while and releases the occasional Christmas album.
jose mari after placing third in national championship of the tawag ng tanghalan attained popularity singing his beautifully composed songs then faded only to resurfaced and popular once again with songs like beautiful girl, be careful with my heart etc. .
before gary v. called as total performer Rico J. puno hold that title first.
Whoa...There goes Efra with his deep thoughts!🤗😄🤣
Rico j Puno was a Superstar back in tje 70s. His voice was great at the time.but i guess old age has affected his voice. He became famous becaus he sang Great American Love Songs like. The Way We were in Taglish. Tagalog English which was super unique at that time and became a Hit.

"The Way We Were" is actually a Barbra Streisand original.
His timbre is a bit like Joe Cocker. The legendary Mr. Rico💛
