- Opel (Vauxhall) Astra Hybrid 1.6Turbo 180PS is a Plug-In Hybrid car with 1.1 - 1.0 l/100 km WLTP fuel consumption (256 mpg UK fuel economy). I checked it on 100 km (a little bit over) trip starting with fully charged batteries (similar to WLTP homologation procedure, but on longer than WLTP procedure distance). The result: 2.1 l/100 km (112 mpg US | 134.5 mpg UK) fuel consumption and 9.8 kWh/100 km (158 Wh/100 mi | 6.34 mpkWh) power consumption (economy).

As always, I checked real fuel consumption on a petrol station. I noticed no difference: computer shows exactly the same fuel consumption comparing to what I refueled.
You're driving this In three different modes, full eletric to start with then hybrid with Automatic mode B. I find when driving in B this is for much lower speeds as the breaking for regenerate the battery is using more fuel. Use B when driving down steep hills, in deep snow, in mud or in stop-andgo traffic.
Whats the consumption driving with the esave mode? So 100km driving full elektric like an FHEV?

Can you tell what was outside temperature as well because if I am right it also effects to the usage of battery. 🤔
The outside temperature was changing during the trip, but you can see what was the exact temperature at every part of it on the multimedia screen :)

Really an economy run with electric power during city drive then petrol on the countryside roads, the best conditions for both energies. 🤔 By the way 16,3 kWh/h for the 58 km driven on battery only, not really competitive vs a full electric car under the same conditions. But thanks for the documented content as always !
Not exactly :) Half of the hybrid trip was in a big city with traffic jams :)

The test is a bit misleading, because they started with a 100% battery state. And in the end they didn't refill it. This video 2.1 liters/41km (about 5.1 liters/100)
currently, my insignia with a 2.0 diesel engine is 5 liters/100km
In the description you have all necessary info and links but you did not read them... The car was checked on fuel station. This is PHEV car and the main point of these cars is charging them BEFORE the drive. Watch the rest movies and comment. Also: show me your result of Insignia diesel with 5 l/100 km IN A CITY, not outside of it, with traffic jams etc.
