- Andrew Schulz thinks his podcast, Flagrant, is worth $300m to Spotify in an exclusive deal.

Spotify isn't in a position to offer that type of money to a RUclips comic. When Spotify gave Joe Rogan $200 million, it was for a decades worth of exclusive content. Flagrant is a medicore podcast at best.
I appreciate your benevolence...
Racist
"Mediocre" is being generous.
He is a horrid interviewer and vapid guy I agree.

I liked it much better when comedians were broke and funny. Not rich and bratty.

The thing is Spotify knows if Joe Rogan moves to a different platform, his audience will switch to the new platform. If Adrew Shultz moves to a different platform his audience will just listen to a different podcast.
😂 yeah pretty much
Except I would probably start to listen JRE more often, although his golden age is over for me. Its funny how I started watching almost every single episode 6-7 years ago when he barely hit 200k views, but then he stopped streaming them live and from there it was downhill for me, but Im grateful for all the people he introduced me to and moved on to funnier stuff. Also I think there is a finite amount of time for everyone to hear the same chimp or bob lazar story. I`ve listened to his last one with Tim Dillon (cause of Tim always hilarious on rogan) and I couldn`t believe that he brought that mf up again.
What audience .. he pays for views😂
Excellent observation.
I have seen 2 episodes total of flagrant and probably 1000 episodes of Rogan lmao they aren’t even comparable
Andrew lives in a world where he’s the coolest dude, funniest comedian around and his haircut isn’t a Hitler Youth from Wish look.
The last line got me 😂
Yeah, what's up with the haircut, is it for a movie?
@terrycullen3302 Nah it's for some guys inflated ego
That’s great, although I find it more sling blade wish version
@@christophernoia5197 really? Well how's about this one? Andrew yaps too much about race. The last time a guy with a name Schultz taked about race we ended up with 6.million jews gased.
Schulz really thinks he is a huge deal.
I used to like him. He's lost his corn fed mind.
Delusion is a hell of a drug.
He does but he’s not funny
Every comment increases his value and relevance. Stop! Ignore!
@@EliteWalkThroughsmost people in America don't know who he is either, I heard of him on Rogan about a year ago.
Congrats on 50k subscribers, that’s worth at least a $10 million Spotify deal.
🤣
Omg you're a idiot 😂😂😂 this comment really cracked me up!
☠️
150 or nothing
Nah $15 million, take it or leave it
Schultz is basically a tik tok podcaster. They put out a mid podcast with 1 decent clip that gets numbers on tik tok and they think they’re the shit. Never seen a full episode no desire to
only full episode i’ve watched was with alex jones, definitely worth a watch haha
They really are pretty boring with a few funny moments here and there. Only time I'll watch them is a few minute clips they post on RUclips.
I love how Akaash is like "yeah, 9 figures" like he's the one with leverage
Bahahaha Spotify would be like… “who dis?”
Andrew Schultz is no Joe Rogan.
He’s a much better comedian than joe
That's not saying much....
Joe Rogan is a lame boomer that interrupts intelligent people to talk about politics or apes, that's it
@knobjob2839 give me 3 good reasons why Joe isn't a good podcaster host
@@tevildo45 Joe is hardly a comedian, and he's 10x the comedian Schultz will ever be. Schultz is one of the most unlike-able people I've seen recently, he's a narcissist, completely unfunny, and fake as can be.
Schultz is the kid that had to “think out loud”
Andrew isn’t up to anything deep whilst having his hand moving epiphany. My boy is just registering a thought at his own pace
This is the comment version of a stealth kill on Hitman. That moustached twat saw this and wishes he could say something so funny 😂
Spotify is not that dumb to pay 2 hacks and their 2 side piece 300 million to laugh incessantly for 2 hours
For real!! It’s hilarious that Andrew thinks he should be paid that much money
🤣🤣
Even Rogan isn't worth that much money. Schulz is so self-absorbed, its astonishing.
Probably right, but can't deny his place in the media realm, he really does bring a unique perspective and great guests.
He might be. Im not proud of it but Joe did bring me back to using Spotify and then I started using spotify all the time instead of just youtube. I imagine there is many pit there who did the same thing as me. Joe's podcast alone isnt worth what he got but it brought many people to use the platform for other pods and music.
Spotify wouldn't pay him 300 million if they didn't think he was worth it. They're not running a charity, it's a public company where they have to justify every cent of expenditure to the shareholders
Rogan is billionaire worthy.
@@DragonZombie2000Spotify paid Joe 100 million for a 10 year exclusive deal. Schulz isn’t even worth a third of that.
The only thing flagrant here is the experience they put their guest through every podcast
Nice double entendre
basically getting paid for being a dick. they think Trump is god I'm sure, because he took this idea into the stratosphere, but they don't have billions of dollars to throw away like he does.
All of that knee slapping and sycophantic laughing from akash can be considered torture by shame.
@@steverogers7601 I really liked some clips from akash, but i can't fucking stand him on the podcast or at all.
@GodlikeSinceBirth the podcast is his life blood and he acts like he'd rather be doing anything else
Akademiks not falling on the floor in a fit of laughter is a true testament to his character.
Flagrant has to many guys on the couch, the floating opinions between the 4 of them makes the pod feel like more bs then anything else. Joe is genuinely interested in his guests, doesn't promote his comedy constantly, and doesn't have to worry about 3 extra bobble heads distracting the guest. Keeping it simple and focusing on the guest will continue to work for Joe im sure.
Yannis has been calling it "the view for men" and i cant see it any other way now
Schulz is a good example of what happens to someone when they let fame and success get to their head.
The fact that you only launched your channel 4 months ago should motivate other people with a unique cultural take to begin broadcasting. I actively search for your new videos and enjoy them as much as you clearly enjoy creating them. Congrats.
It's worth $300 mil now :p
Damn you are right, Rogan not only made these people, he owns them. It is so funny how he basically became a Podcast God, and is now on the top of the stand up foodchain, despises being awful at stand up.
Rogan being awful is such a circlejerk. He's nowhere near being bad, he's not great, but definitely above average.
@xnkatta you are messing the point. Him being an OK comic is fine. It is just funny o me, how podcasting made him more influential in the stand up world than most comics who are way better than him.
Nah Rogan is legit u just personally don’t like him
@@neildepressedtyson540 Rogan is one of the few reasons I even use Spotify but it has nothing to do with his comedy. There are plenty of 'big' comedians that are far worse but his stand-up is mediocre IMO. It's not that he isn't a funny guy, his off-the-cuff humor on podcasts can be entertaining but his sets are very predictable and the delivery feels forced. He comes up with a few decent lines then beats them to death time and time again. I just don't think he's a great comedy writer, it's really that simple.
@@xnkattaabove average? Pure delusion😂
As much as I'm not the biggest Rogan fan, it takes skill to interview people, route the interview to interesting places, not interrupt them, and still make the overall conversation engaging over 2-3 hours. I also respect how comfortable he makes his guests feel. He's a golden example of people's appreciation for long form interviews, and deserves a lot of credit for how he manages his guests.
Schulz can't last 5 minutes before feeling the urge to interrupt his guests with his hackneyed horseshit. He's also a way bigger egotist than Rogan and that's a poor sign for any interviewer.
Exactly! Always interrupting and inserting himself in everything...like..stfu brah!!!.... I could never go past listening past a certain point to this guy...
Rogan will absolutely interrupt someone if he doesn't like them.
@@AlphaCentComnothing is absolute chill out, semantic dork
Rogan interrupts often and always has to get tiresome points in no matter what. Rogan, at his best, is a mediocre interviewer
@@MrJwdalleBut given who is in media, he's still above most.
Now you know why Joe Rogan encouraged these guys to start their own podcast. So the world can appreciate what he does even more. To show the world that it’s not just two people talking.
Spotify gave Joe the offer they did because it was a unique moment in history. They wanted to get into podcasting and diversify from being just a music streaming site. And it worked. It drove subscriptions and they made their money back. Does Shultz really think that he could make that kind of money for a streaming site? If someone offers you $X you have to be able to make > $X for them. Simple.
Spotify didn't make their money back. They could have if they didn't waste all their money on podcast deals with the Obamas and Markles. Spotify also still doesn't work in certain countries, so there's people who can't even listen to JRE on there.
Yes it was lightening striking for Joe at the right time. They needed a podcast with faithful listeners to get more people on Spotify. He was the next stern to them. It'll never happen for anyone else.
I love your type of content truly. Glad you’ve reached such a milestone. Only up from here buddy
Glad you made this channel dude! You really just conceptualized a whole phenomenon perfectly. I always wondered why these new popular comedians weren't funny. Thought I was maybe just too harsh of a critic. Also I always thought Joe was a cool guy but his comedy sets just weren't that funny either.
Spotify just laid off a ton of people and admitted they overpaid for Joe Rogan.
The same way they used to sell development deals to comics; these ad reads are NOT paying the dividends it has been projected to.
No they didn’t lol.
Rogan killed his brand when he moved to Texas and went full right wing/anti vax.
@@LouFortyeah that's not helping very much. He pulled a bait and switch. He also stopped with having a decent variety on. It's the same teachers pet types over and over. He doesn't want anyone on that won't kiss his 🥜🥜
@@RR-on4skhe used to have amazing guests
@@ProudFilthyCasual who didn’t? Are you just here to make stuff up?
The more I watch this, the more I understand why Daniel Tosh said he’ll only do a podcast if he doesn’t have to deal with comedians.
52 thousand subs? You're worth at least 50 million on Spotify.
Hahaha 🤣
😂😂😂
It's like listening to Jim brownin but talking about comedy hacks
Glad to have you on RUclips! These "comedians" have been going on unchecked for too long
I think a big part of Shultz that you’re missing is his association with charlamagne. Although I agree Rogan took Andrew to that next level, his podcast with charlamagne “the brilliant idiots” is how most original Flagrant fans became fans. It also explains why he has Akademiks on his show given how he (Akademiks) always stated that Charlamagne was one of his biggest inspirations.
Most white people have no idea who Charlemagne is.
I might have to delete my comment bc I thought both Schultz and acedemics were in radio on Hot 97, NYC.
To quote the late Bill Hicks, “too many fevered egos”
Love Bill
Glad someone is making solid videos on this stuff. Just when I was getting burnt out on all these podcasts and seeing through bull this channel breaks everything down spot on. keep it up!

What an eye opener your channel was for me... I'm binge watching all your videos, thank you
@BrdOutaMyMnd 100% agree with that
Same! I love the term “Rogan brats”. I thought maybe I was getting bitter, but having a grandiose sense of self as a comic isn’t funny or enjoyable to watch.
It's simple: Spotify is yet to recoup
the money they gave to Rogan for an exclusive deal: Why would they pay any more podcasters for exclusivity?
What a time to be a comedian since podcasts fell into their laps they equate money to being good at comedy
Thank you for being transparent about your channel..two weeks in and the algorithm highly favored you amigo, you were automatically playing after any podcast I was listening to..now i click the occasional one like this but I’m super curious about the algorithm and the fact that your tags are “anti Brogan” which is exactly what the mainstream wants..
Appreciate the research and effort put into the podcast. Storytelling is impressive too.
Congratulations on 50k man. I find your perspective on the over saturation of podcast very interesting and relatable.
Hey man, I don’t think I’ve ever commented, but I’ve been around since the beginning! Congrats on everything you’ve done up to the 50k and on the things to come! 🙌🏼
Hey! Thanks for taking the time to reach out, much appreciated 🙏🏻 glad you like the channel
Thank you for takkng the time to articulate difficult concepts that has bothered me about a lot of these podcasts for a long time
you're doing God's work
The fact that you were a lawyer makes everything better. Even thought English court is different from American courts.
💯 shultz,Gillis, theo von, and a few others really never paid attention too untill I seen them on JRE.
the little nugget you dropped last time about being an attorney is pretty fascinating. Definitely explains the meticulousness. Your BS meter seems well-calibrated; was your father in the picture as you grew up?
cheers, man! So happy to see you doing well on here. Any time a video drops, it's an instant click
Please keep making these. My understanding of how these complex systems work is pretty limited. Much more interesting than Brenda vids imo
Really good content. Congrats on 50K. Keep up the good work on these podcast financial insights.
congratulations on 50k, i love tuning into the vids at work, the joe rogan laugh in the beginning of the vid had me crying 😂😂
Excellent work. These types of episodes, that explain the money behind the content, are so important for understanding why and what you are being served. It’s required knowledge for being informed.
Might be biased because I'm Aussie, but your commentary expressing things I'm already thinking/feeling about these podcasts and people is so good to hear
It was beautiful to see Schultz realise how much theyre actually worth. He needed this convo
Congrats on the 50 bro, great channel
Schulz is worth $300M.. just ask him.
You can bet green money that when Rogan was negotiating with Spotify, he absolutely used the fact that he brings Bert and Tom and all those schmoes along with him for free to them to his advantage.
bro when I found your videos it was such a nice relief to hear someone say the things ive been thinking
Glad to have you dude
Love when an episode goes over numbers like this. The info is so interesting.
Remember when Schulz laughed at Joe Budden for wanting 100m? How the turns have tabled
It's NOT about Spotify. Andrew is signaling what his soul costs, and that it is up for sale. Don't be surprised to see him become huge soon.
If you could buy Shultz for what he's worth, and then sell him for what he thinks he's worth, you'd make a lot of money.
I might be wrong, but it´s possible that Schulz wasn´t being delusional when he said he would want 300 mil to do a contract like Rogan´s. The way I heard him, he was possibly complementing Rogan´s massive volume of work by saying something like "I couldn´t do it, I would hypothetically need at least 300 mil to do that insane amount of work".
He'd actually have to be a useful member of society to get that deal
Love your content dude you the only youtuber i catch within 3 hours of you posting everytime, keep it up bruv!
Andrew is the only one that believes Andrew is worth that much
Hey Cringe, this was a gr8 vid in at least a couple of ways. Simply stating that the majority of Bro Brats featuring Schultzy in this one could really benefit from just taking the time to look in the mirror and see if they recognise the reflection in the mirror anymore. The ego is and can be very helpful for our lives, when kept in check. When the ego runs wild and completely out of touch it creates a near cartoonish type villain and that's where people, including myself 5 years ago, lose touch with what created the success. Humility in some form can definitely help these creators in the long run, while still being accepting and grateful for the success. Long comment for YT but happy to get inspired to comment from the vid. Merry Christmas legend 🎉
Hehe thanks for commenting! I’m always interested in what you guys think 🙏🏻
@@PodcastCringe cheers legend, Merry Christmas ya filthy animal and a happy new year ;)
Call it Participation Trophies, call it Entitlement, whatever you wanna call it for whatever agendas,
But these guys don’t deserve it cause they haven’t earned it, same for half the guys you’ve covered, you gotta be doing insanely well socially, and even then people still need to check themselves,…
Like the other half of people covered on this channel…
Stay humble, the success is earned, as is the recognition, it’s not bought.
On that note, stay humble folks ❤
I love that Spotify made it so they have to actually do work and make it on their own if they want a Spotify contract
As a nearly 30 year old man myself with no time to watch/listen to any of these guys anymore, you are the only reason I can keep up with any of the Rogan gang & Cos antics so thank you for your work here on this channel!
Wow nearly 30. So old
The fact you started this 4months ago is dope as fuck. Keep it up
I really enjoy your content. I hope your channel keeps growing.
This is the downside of Joe Rogan's advice on not reading the comments. You become completely out of touch.
Loving the longer videos, and the always fresh analysis.
Does Schultz realize how much $300,000,000 is? Haha.
That was such a lovely shout out & thanks so your subscribers & viewers. Just discovered your channel tonight, I subscribed after the 3rd video.
Thanks for subbing! I’m glad you like the videos 🙏🏻
shultz, who fall off insanely and wasn’t even that funny after month, versus Rogan the creator of arguably the greatest podcast every regardless of how it is now, it was undefeated 2013-2017
When you do more Schultz content I’d love to see your take on the decline of flagrant. 2019/2020 going into Covid it was actually still really good, then went downhill fast
Great stuff. Love the analysis. I’m a fan of the longer form.
Wanting $300 million from Spotify and not knowing the founders name (Daniel Ek 5:32) is outrageous… Bro called him an Elk💀🦌

Podcast cringe!! This is easily my new favorite channel every vid you make is so on the money and are the voice I’ve been waiting for over these last few months!! Keep up the amazing work brother!!
Andrew Schulz looks like a Walt Disney cosplayer who speedruns getting punched in the face.
The genesis of this channel is amazing. Congrats on your success!!!!
Phenomenal videos. You're a gift. Thank you. Seeing the circle of life come around on guys we liked five years ago has been rough. You almost have to cycle and find up-and-coming guys every few years before the money makes them unbearable.
You nailed it. People disagree with me, but Shane Gillis will be next. Just give it time. He's just now experiencing wealth. It will go to his head eventually, like almost everyone else..
Hey man long time subscriber, never commented but just had to say that this video is great. You broke it down, a lot of info and it all makes sense 👍 cheers from Baltimore
Thanks man, appreciate having you onboard 🙏🏻
Love your videos! Didn't know you were a lawyer until the latest video about Garbage Papi, makes sense. Keep it going!
So proud of you and this channel
Congrats on the 50k! Followed because I have the same issue with the podcastification of stand-up. Just please be careful not to become what you hate.
You have very insightful content and commentary. I just discovered you this week. Subscribed.
Some episodes of flagrant is pretty good and 300 M is a huge stretch but I think 10-20 mill is probably what they're worth for 3-5 years. I went through this guy's RUclips channel, and he is basically a parasite of the jre universe! This guy can't not do anything that's jre unrelated
youtube > spotify
You are definitely one of the GOATS in the podcast commentary community! You deserve the growth my man keep it up!
Not boring at all, great vid 👍
congrats on 50 (51) K! potential video idea: Comedy podcasts that are actually good? and What new comedy podcasts should do to become great - think those could be cool, i don't listen to any of these guys (anymore since like 2 years now) but your commentary is entertaining, keep going!
Mate I know you said 2lazy is an inspiration to you, but with this style and depth of insight, you're making much better content than he is. His videos are like long reddit comments, your videos are like entire reddit threads.
Congrats on your success, well deserved.
Thanks man! I still love 2Lazy, but appreciate what you’re saying 🙏🏻
@@PodcastCringe I still love his stuff too, definitely not knocking him at all. Cheers.
Perfect way to put it!
A realistic number would be 10M$ for the span of 3 years, where they have to release a certain amount of podcasts with a certain viewership count.
Those 7 Billion Dollar podcast contracts don’t exist anymore, because they highly speculated on the market value, which actually dropped down significantly since 2022.
Holy im early also when did he hit 50k? Feels like yesterday we were on the ground floor congratulations big ups
I like Joe Rogan, he is good comedian, just nothing exceptional. But for whatever reason there are a lot of wannabe comedians that think they are as good as Joe or better. I don't see that happening with other comedians. It makes me feel like there are a lot of comedians that don't really realize how hard Joe worked to get so successful.
He also attracts guys that are just delusional just in general. Burt being the best example.
I thought this would be boring, but you made it worth watching! Great video!
Congrats on already surpassing that 50K! ❤
I laughed out loud when he said “300 million”, and his tone and body language when saying it was the cherry on top 💀😭
Really solid video, thanks man! And congrats on the milestone
300 million what? Pesos?
The algorithm did me a solid, keep posting bro.
I always find it funny how u find it hard to believe that we watch ur longer videos as if we don't watch podcast all day
I wonder how many people and their age/demographics WATCH podcasts all day.
Not being sarcastic, just very curious.
