But I can think of something that would work well for the first or second episode that's not directly from the WN. Even so, what I'm about to say is somewhat based on one that did happen and how I can see them working it into the anime. I can see Io and Rona making a report to the Demon King. During the meeting he might have a flashback to a memory. In the memory he would think about how they had learned about the Goddess "waking up" after being gone for so long. They also learn about the Heroes that she had summoned. Then he would think about a magic power he had felt from the ends of the world. At that time in the past he would not have any idea about Makoto.

Did it have to do with his blood being mixed to make her that took some powers from himself that he needs back? Luto keeps dropping info that’s related to the world travelers and now he knows about the guy that turned into the sword🤔🤔 that’s gotta pay off next season
Mitsurugi & Sofia are lucky for not fighting Makoto's dark mode...the moment where he lose humanity for a small of time when he kill that scum female adventurer.
Depending on how many episodes are in season 3 we might get to see that dark mode again even darker and see 2 of his followers horrified at the change. This occurs when an enemy truly angers Makoto
Mio was asking Makoto for some bedroom time, to be clear, hence his panic when he parsed the euphemism. More importantly, the WN explained the reason Mio changed her request: she wants their first time to be because he wants it, not something she gets as a prize.
A side story in the webnovel has Makoto's sister explain how Makoto views potential girlfriends as family first. Don't worry eventually he will change his view and be a daily bedmate to both Mio and Tomoe
For clearance the revenge he talked about is transporting Sophia in front of makoto shop i don't remember if the revenge was for her or for him though but Sophia works for makoto now
seriously,i kinda dislike with shiki vs lancer.. cause since shiki can revert his form to lich,why not mio and tomoe doing so too? they both revert to their form then join shiki fight lancer will be more satisfying tho..
