Hello! PRUV itself is a benign finding and does not affect the baby. However, close monitoring on further ultrasound scans is required to look for any other associated abnormalities. Best Wishes!

We lost our daughter at 25 weeks and the placenta results showed that the umbilical cord was hypercoiled, which caused fetal vascular thrombi and also placenta abruption .l have been devastated by this .l am even afraid to try to fall pregnant again in case the hypercoiling happens again. I was also devastated because 20 weeks ultrasound didn't show any abnormalities and it showed that the umbilical is normal in appearance and insertion
