He lost. Get over it. Only one I ever raced was another green F7. I just pulled him in 1000ft, and ran away after that on my '03 XCR800. But, I SHOULD'VE!! 100cc and 18hp advantage. Some guys think the F7 is unbeatable. If they were, Cat would make them the factory race sleds!!! I'm here to tell you they CAN be beaten.....
Just stating a fact about the f7 I'm.a polaris guy I've owned many xcr 800s 4 of them ... just saying the f7s were fast out of the hole when setup right
Nah, he just had a bad line. That was a crappy race surface to start with and both the other sleds have a lot more track on the ground. My Mach Z 1000 has the same issue. Get it on hard packed, or a sheet ice and nothing stock (short of a Sidewinder) can touch it. Get a little bit of slop, or 3" of loose snow on the ground and it's like I'm dragging and anchor.
@@milojanis4901 Actually, yes. The F7's pipe design required it to be really hot, for proper scavenging effect. Much like the '98 tripe piped triples from Ski doo, or center dump pipes on their old S2000 chassis twins. Also, the F7 came with a narrow, 13" wide, low profile track. It cut rotational weight by a lot (which is one of the reasons these sleds topped out so well) but made it a bitch to get traction on anything but hard packed snow surfaces.
Somethings up with your sled my friend, you most definitely shouldn't be losing to a 800 dragon let alone a 1200 etec. Have you done a compression check? Is your clutching maybe off?
@@Dooguy I have no doubt you'll give an F7 a go in less than ideal conditions, but lets be honest...on hard packed, a 1200 Doo doesn't stand a snowballs chance against one. The F7 is lighter by about 60-80lbs, makes 15-20hp more and has a much faster chassis. You might be able to stick with one till 60mph or so if you're clutched right and the F7 is a little tired, but remember...this is the sled that retired the 700 class! Even the new 800/850 class sleds of today have a tough time holding them off! ....and I'm a Ski-Doo guy, through and through!
@@alfrede.neuman8611 me n a friend of mine both have identical 1200 with the same combo. He's beat a 850 doo in a 1000 feet and I've beat a sidewinder in 800. We gottem dialed I pretty decent. In 03 I bought a first year zr900 over a f7.....but I do know their fast.
That f7 should have dusted both of them.
I had an 05 F7 with reverse. The only thing that would beat me was a zr 900 and that was after it had to catch up!
Polaris for the Win !
Hell yeah pol
The 03 f7s are animals but that f7 should of whooped them for sure needs some adjusting
the f7 needs some adjustments normally would spank those other 2
Lol

@@milojanis4901 18 HP,but an xcr weighs more than a f7. It's power/weight ratio. Triples have longer legs.
Shit. My 800 xcr play w that f7. There fast 700s no dought. The 800 dragon did just what I expected run off on the pesky f7
holy shit bud did you forget to hit the gas
F7 needs the pipes heated, taking of from that long idle cooled down

So the other sleds were immune to the problems Kitty experienced? ROFLMFAO!!!

lol.....none of the above. The F7 was running just fine, he simply didn't have the traction.
