Looks great! We use the exact same type of laundry baskets. You could have stuffed it with something light weight, all the way up to the top to keep it stiff/from collapsing. Then, use/make a 'creative' covering that matches the decorum to hide your stuffing. I would probably use packing peanuts to fill the laundry basket, then cover.
If you were going to permanently use the laundry basket as a prop, you could make small holes in the top, near the rim of the basket, and use the fishing line to anchor the sticks in place (multiple wrap arounds & through the holes). Because of the flexibility of the basket, I wouldn't trust the hot glue to keep them in place UNLESS it's not going to be moved/touched (by those at the event).
Lastly, because hot air balloons are 'up' in the air, it would be cool to do a 'floating' mount so it appears to be suspended in the air!

Hi Anastasia! I love all of your videos!!I’m just wondering, I have to set up a hot air balloon garland at a party. How would you avise would be the best way to assemble or travel with it?!
I would set up everything on the spot. Unless you have a roomy car that you can fit in everything comfortably with out popping balloons. You can also blow your balloons at home, pack them in trash bags, transport them to the venue and then set up on the spot.

I love the idea...but I would not use so many different colors...maybe a colorful garland as well. Or maybe put the garland on top only, to make it seem like the sky and clouds.

You can make your garland 1-3 days in advance. I don't like transporting garlands, I like to make them on the spot, but if I have to them I use a van to fit my garland.

What balloons do you recommend that are not super expensive?
Wal Mart balloons are good quality and affordable. If you are looking for different sizes then it can get expensive.
Use some styrofoam for flowers inside the basket to hold the shape and your sticks

Thank you! There is no secret :) I just use LOW temperature glue gun, low won't pop your balloons, high temperature will.
Will this balloon fit through the door? What if I make it for someone I need to know if it can leave the door out my house
Hi Anastasia! I am working on a hot air balloon and am wondering how well your hot air balloon held up the next day using low temp glue gun. I used the low temp glue gun method the day before, and some balloons were deflated the next day. Do you think the glue dashes are better than the low temp glue gun in my case? Thanks
If you don't feel comfortable using glue gun use Glue dashes/glue dots. Use more than 1 glue dot per balloon.
