What you managed to "scrape" together on your trip to Budapest would put most documentary makers to shame. Thank you for taking me with you and here's hoping your boat is not too long now.
That boat builder has plenty of excuses in stock, I’d be going thermonuclear on them. Supply delays are understandable but there are always solutions to problems, it sounds like they aren’t very motivated to find them. I’ve bet they have been paid in full already for the boat and prioritizing other builds that haven’t been paid yet. I’d be calling them every day at this point and the suppliers as well.
That reminds me of warranty work i have going on with my van….. been in a dealership loaner forever waiting on parts ….. i am convinced my cylinder head must be 13th in line outside of baltimore harbor…
I have believe that Aintree has LOST more than a couple orders with the publicity of all their failed promises. Not a great way to build customer following OR loyalty. Still wishing you well and finally taking delivery of your too long away boat. ❤
Sorry to hear about your boat delays. Just have to say thank you so much for showing us Budapest. For an unplanned video episode it was really well presented and we enjoyed it very much!
I am so sorry and so disappointed to hear the news about the boat. You must be absolutely seething. Thank you for the tour. I have never been - and would love to visit. We've missed you and it's great to have this little catch up.
Thanks for the trip down that part of the Danube, nice views and interesting information. Have missed your vlogs. Someone needs to get a stick after your boat builders. Patience is a virtue.
Thanks Lorna, this video brought back memories of my own trip to Budapest, the boat trip is a must and so is the walk on the island. I loved riding round on the trams to get to the many interesting places to visit there. I do hope Foxglove is afloat soon.
Been following your build from the start and also Gladys the narrow boat which is promised before September, no engine yet not sure which September we’re talking about he’s the most patient Welsh man I’ve ever encountered, anyway thanks for the update.
Lorna, no need for apologies, this is a great video. The buildings and history of the cities and countries is huge. You are lucky to live in England and have easy travel in Europe. We here in the States have a far shorter history. Hopefully, your boat will be ready soon. All the best, Hal
So sorry for you and your boat project. Hope it will soon turn out well. All the best wishes from me. Thank you for your documentary from Budapest. As usual absolutely seaworthy 🙂 Love from Denmark
Budapest is amazing, it has great buildings, the market is first-class and the public transport system is extensive and there's a lot worth looking at and photographing transport-wise. And, of course, it has the Damube running thru it, I so want to do a source-to-sea journey down the Danube, talk about travelling thru history! As for the boat, this is getting a little silly now, you have more patience than I.
It was great to see your adventures in my home city. If you manage to travel to Budapest somewhere in the future, and have a free day in the trip, i can recommend taking a boat to Visegrád, one of the former royal seats of Hungary. It's an almost 4 hour ride, but the views are beautiful and Visegrád has a few nice ruins. And if you can't spend a whole day boating, you can use the same boat to travel just to Szentendre, a charming little city of artists and museums. Or you can take a hydrofoil, which is considerably faster ( ca 35 knots cruising speed - it does the 4h Visegrád trip in 1 hour!), stops at Visegrád and goes all the way to Esztergom, a city with the largest church of Hungary and a small castle. (and a bridge which you can use to just walk over to Slovakia) The hydrofoil would be a bit of a change of pace compared to a narrowboat, i think. :D (they are pretty noisy though)
Long time fan from Hungary here, I was so shocked to see a vlog on your channel about my city LOL. Happy you had fun, there's so much boat geekdom to explore here. If you ever come back, you might want to consider taking a Soviet made hydrofoil to the Danube bend (I'm pretty sure there's none in the UK), or do some further boating at lake Balaton or the river Tisza.
I'm sorry to hear of the delay in getting your boat. Hopefully, it will be available soon. Thanks for the stunning video of Budapest. Looks magnificent !
Will your boat ever get completed, thats the question, at this rate you'll be waiting another 2 years, hope you get it soon lokks you had a nice holiday in Budapest, coincidentally i am on holiday at this very moment (but in south west England)
Sorry to hear about the little boat issues, Well you just made great lemonade out of lemons! Loved the video, being Australian I've not thought to go, loved the video & looks amazing! Boat trips looks brilliant! If I was in Europe now I'd definitely go! Thankyou for sharing, that was fabulous. What an interesting city. Shoes may be due to 8th May..
The delays with the boat must be SO frustrating for you. I was very lucky in that mine was on time and on budget (not from Aintree, but Lymm). I'll keep my fingers crossed that you are back on the water some time this season.
Was just wondering what had happened with the progress of your boat only just the other day. Thanks for the update. Disappointing that it isn't the news we wanted. Budapest looked beautiful. Thanks for the tour.
It's great to see you again Lorna. It's a shame about delay on Foxglove again but that nice cruise along the Danube in Budapest was epic and well presented, love how the footage was put together.
I thought Aintree Boats were supposed to be quite a highly regarded boat builder, I certainly wouldn’t be keen on using them after your experience, very poor maybe you have been too patient with them, but I wish you luck and hope you are on your boat for at least some of the summer.Good luck.
Can’t help but wonder if they’ve turned their attentions to Crick, in which case, just for this year, they need to stay at home and get their own house in order. I have heard of delays elsewhere and disappointments with finish…an industry issue in some areas?
Thanks for the update and tour of Budapest. Your content is always excellent and I'd rather have a few videos this good against weekly but pointless videos. I really feel for you that you are still waiting for Foxglove to be delivered. When I saw the alert that you had posted a video I was so hoping you'd got your new boat. Next time and soon perhaps.
You are a very patient person and it’s unfortunate that it seems the company is taking advantage of your kindness. Unfortunately, you ll probably have to deal with them in the future for any warranty issues. But if it were me I would use your platform to warn other people about your experience with them. But in the meantime, happy thoughts. It’s good that you don’t let set backs derail your outlook.
Such a shame you have waited and still are waiting for your new boat. I hope things very soon sort themselves out. One thing you have not mentioned, how is your boat inspectors qualification progressing? Good luck in the future.
Very unimpressed not only with Aintree’s lack of progress but their terrible customer service to you, failed promises all along. Very poor, in my opinion.
Lorna, if only superficial things remain to be done on the boat like upholstery I would be tempted to take it now and get it finished elsewhere. It could well be that Aintree have taken on too much work, or there could be staffing issues behind the scenes, but my alarm bells are starting to ring. People do lose their boats when boat builders go bust, despite having paid for them. Time to read the riot act! x
I saw your vlog and thought, boats on the water. Sadly not. This company are not doing themselves any favours. Accept I could be wrong, but I would certainly not have any dealings with them. I hope, very much, that you get your boat soon. I also hope that the guarantees for your boat are upheld if you get problems. May be the company would like to appear in a vlog to to explain them selves. I mean you want to give them a chance to defend/ give feed back. As it is, I am very sad that you are not on the water, as you so desire. Best wishes. Rick
I feel like the people making your boat just keep putting you on the backburner. Like they must have bigger and more expensive boats they want to finish sort of thing. I hope they give you a discount or something at this rate because I know I'd be going full mental on them at this point.
Sorry to hear you have no joy with the boat build Lorna. It's not as if they are building a 57' boat. Mind you it's just well it's not a big boat they are building. You might have reached retirement before it's finished. I hope you are annoying them with weekly phone calls "we're is my bloody boat". I know you have been waiting a very long time for this boat. Just hope they pull there finger out and get it completed for you... Not a great advert for Aintree boats me thinks. Look forward to the vlog of you recieving you new boat when its finnished. Take care....
Your boat build has not been the best advertisement for Aintree Boats! There are always hiccups but this has become ridiculous. It seems like they really aren't trying very hard!
The boat delays are now becoming ridiculous…is it because you’re a woman by any chance? I’d be taking legal advice personally especially if all was paid for. Video totally beautiful, a super city. All the best 🤗🩷
What you managed to "scrape" together on your trip to Budapest would put most documentary makers to shame. Thank you for taking me with you and here's hoping your boat is not too long now.

I would be tempted to call the fabric company to find out if they even ordered it.
If possible camp outside their door until they finish it.
I am so sorry and so disappointed to hear the news about the boat. You must be absolutely seething. Thank you for the tour. I have never been - and would love to visit. We've missed you and it's great to have this little catch up.

hi great video buddapest looks fantastic
hope your boat is ready soon
Good to see you back in the the land of the living.
How frustrating. You’re being remarkably patient 😮

You live in a lovely city with a mindblowing amount of history (especially for an Australian, we are so young as a country).
Beautiful vlog ! Thanks for sharing! Im so sorry too hear about your beautiful Foxglove I hope thins get remedied very soon!!!All the best!..😊❤💐💗🌺🌺🌺
I'm sorry to hear of the delay in getting your boat. Hopefully, it will be available soon.

good to see you Lorna.👍 with your new boat soon I hope 🤞🤞
Its beyond a joke now with Aintree
dont you love a grand market hall? Thank you for the lovely tour. I respect your reticence
Beem there, it's a great market, yo could spend a day wandering in and out of shops and stalls.
It's great to see you again Lorna. It's a shame about delay on Foxglove again but that nice cruise along the Danube in Budapest was epic and well presented, love how the footage was put together.
Great vlog! I had no idea Budapest was so beautiful 💖

Nice vlog Lorna, sorry your boats not ready hope you get some good news soon.😊
A lovely trip but you needed it with the stress of this boat building.
You have patience of a saint How is the bss examiner going ?? Xx gadgit xx
Can’t help but wonder if they’ve turned their attentions to Crick, in which case, just for this year, they need to stay at home and get their own house in order. I have heard of delays elsewhere and disappointments with finish…an industry issue in some areas?
Great vid. Really disappointing news about the boat (again), can you pull her out and get her finished somewhere else?? Sounds very worrying.
Great video Lorna, realy well done..............Also I do admire you patience waiting for the new boat.
Enjoyed your Budapest vlog, I just back did Avalon River Cruise Budapest to Vishofen,Germanyon April 16

The Hungarian parliament is amazing. The problem with the states is that we have no depth of history.
You don’t always need to do water vids, your “wander about “ vids are excellent also.
I would be so annoyed with that boat builder. It's as if your boat don't matter to them
I'm sorry you fell victim of such crappy boat builders!
Thanks for the video though!
Worth waiting for Lorna thank you 😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤
Cheers Lorna

There’s much more than that. Plumbing, electrical, flooring, appliances
@@lornajaneadventures Sorry to hear that.
This has gone on far too long, I'd be volcanic by now. @@lornajaneadventures
good vid on the channel trip you did thanks four the vid thanks lee

A weeks worth of work. Doesn't mean they are going to do that work any time soon.
It's a shame that some companies will take advantage of customers who are polite and patient!
I'm SO frustrated on your behalf!
If no money has changed hands, I'd be tempted to tell them to stick the boat - and go elsewhere.
Yeah, boat building is like a house, you make progress payments throughout the build process.
Just tell them to launch it, and do the upholstrery. I can give you a contact
It’s not just upholstery. There’s loads left
What a bunch of *****. Just sold a house, in the market for a boat, guess where it won't be coming from. Don't let the bastards get you down.
Please steer clear from the builder in Derbyshire who puts the big roof lights on their boats. You’ll have even more problems than Lorna with them 😮
I think i know who you mean from their vlogs.@Zzz816
Oh it’s much worse for other customers than those lads have had on their vlogs.
Sorry to hear you have no joy with the boat build Lorna.
It's not as if they are building a 57' boat. Mind you it's just well it's not a big boat they are building. You might have reached retirement before it's finished.

Not a great advert for Aintree boats me thinks. Look forward to the vlog of you recieving you new boat when its finnished. Take care....
In my opinion , you are getting totally screwed on your boat .
Not a great look for Aintree is it?...find your own suppliers for materials? what now?.... Get it sorted up there Aintree.
So sorry you have still not got your boat.Come on Aintree ,get your act together ,it’s not impressive.
Your boat build has not been the best advertisement for Aintree Boats! There are always hiccups but this has become ridiculous. It seems like they really aren't trying very hard!
Aside from the boat business (sorry) that was a great vlog… what a beautiful city 💜
The boat delays are now becoming ridiculous…is it because you’re a woman by any chance? I’d be taking legal advice personally especially if all was paid for. Video totally beautiful, a super city. All the best 🤗🩷
