UB40 & Pato Banton - Baby Come Back

- Опубликовано: 15 дек 2006

My dad used to put this on in the car whenever he'd have a fight with my mum and take me with him. We'd go for a drive and he'd cool down listening to this song! Nice memories :D
NAWWWW. THAT IS SO SWEET.
You're Dad is a legend !

Hope you're well!!
Ali Campbell, the most underrated voice in history !!!!!!
He was rated highly, did you not see their chart success?
@@y_ffordd Should of been much much more success !!!!
Even so, his brother was a better singer. Hence all the falling out.
How I miss this time of my life ... Here in Brazil every Saturday night at 90's was the fever of Pato Banton, Inner Circle, UB40, Big Mountain... That guys were so amazing...
My mother was trying to remember this song and she though it was, "come back baby, come back to my CD collection and my big tv" 😭
Little did you know she was rite
Haha I love this!
You knew the wedding was in full party mode when this banger came on in the 90s ❤️
Those were the days 🙌🏻
Gotta love a splitting up song at a good wedding 😆.
Probably the best dancing song of UB 40. They are legends. I miss so much their concerts....
This is a cover of a gorgeous song
Dance this is reggae how dear you
Plus they were free if you had a UB40
Yes I agree
So do I
I Remember This On Top Of Pops In 1994 ❤🎤🎶😎💙
30 years young this tune is now, couldn't get enough of it as a kid, still love it even now!
The original is from 1967 by Eddy Grant with The Equals!
I heard this in Asda today! This song never gets old! I remember dancing to this at the school disco’s. The 90’s was the best decade to grow up in!
Asda play the best tunes of all the supermarkets. It's like going to a 90's disco reunion
Bargains and bangers. All you could ever want from a trip to the supermarket
No way- the late 70s and the 80s, hands down
@@SC1W for me I'd say best music was 70s-mid 90s then went downhill around 1998 and picked up again around 2004 and died again in the early 10s. Best bit was mid 80s-around 1991.
the 1980's was better
you know a song is good, when you remember the lyrics perfectly, even tho you haven't heard it for more than 10 years....
Still rocking it in 2023 who’s with me 🔥🔥🔥🔥

The one song that takes me back to my 90s childhood here in England. Before we realised how cruel the world was.

UB40 was the unemployment form you completed and I think it was a nod to the unemployment levels during Thatcher’s era
Yes, it was. They were all unemployed or most of them. Hence the name ub40

LOVE this song! Will never get old!!
Yeaaaaaaah
Ja love forever, they just played at Area 142!!!! First reggae concert and it was uplifting positive vibes all around! I got to talk with them all after the show and they all signed my hat!!!! Ja Love!!!
God this is the first time I've seen this video since 1994. I was 8 when this came out and I have these really vague memories. In my head it was a sample from a white band from the 1960's with a reggae head rapping over it. I thought the white guys were the original band.
Only now as a 36 year old man, I see that it was UB40 in black and white and that it's a cover from the Eddie Grant and the Equals. A mixed race band from the 60's/70's. Cool.
Thing is though, it brings with it these other flashes of memories from the time. A flash of sitting in the living room as a child watching the chart show on TV. A flash of being on holiday in Great Yarmouth. A flash of playing football or being in the car with my Dad or being at school in the summer. I mean, it's a summer song, through and through.
I think it's the fact that this song has almost no other context since it doesn't get played anywhere anymore. I treasure stuff like this because just for a half-second I can be back in my childhood, before responsibility or trauma.
I wish they will bring out more like this timeless classic!!!
Great version of an old classic !! Fab in the disco !:))))
Nice..80s and 90s music are the best
Absolutely agree I must play this song everyday absolutely fantastic song sang by absolute world class performers
