This is currently one of the betting favorites to win the whole thing and often leading in fan site voting. Should have no trouble making the final and a top5 finish is typically predicted. It's an incredibly addictive song once you get past the initial wtf :) It's even got some decent lyrics, as the song is about being stressed out after a hard week, and being shy and closed up at a club, then downing a few piña coladas to relax and finally breaking out into a whole other person who's just having fun on the dance floor. (The genre change in the middle of the song represents that feeling of liberation, so it's not there just for heck of it.)
The characters is shy and suffers from toxic masculinity. He has a couple of pina coladas and feels liberated on the dance floor partying like crazy. Käärijä 💚💚
Käärijä. Pronounciation. Difficult parts "ä", "r" and "j". Letter Ä is like English "a" in words bad, sad, lad, band or crap. If you try to take all the other letters from the words and get a hold of what "a" sounds like in those words, you are ääing. Double ä is of course a bit longer than one ä. Letter R, is kind of edgy like French r, but not that much. It is a sharp sounding, and not like in English words r's usually are. Letter J, is a soft sounding letter like in English "you", "yeah" tai "yap". Actually you could get the ä, from yap as well. Kääriyap without p. 🙂 Easy, but not so easy quite to Finnish spelling. Was a fun reaction video.
Easy winner. Best eurovision song in this decade.

and in the original music video also plays with the fluidity/liberation of gender roles.
