The seven corporal acts of mercy, depicted on the chapel ceiling: to feed the hungry, to give water to the thirsty; to clothe the naked; to shelter the homeless; to visit the sick; to visit the imprisoned (some versions say 'to ransom the captive'); to bury the dead.

Great find! Would love to know the history of this place which has quite old parts but then more recent where it has been extended.
Good to see someone is trying to save the old fixtures and fittings in an out-building - organised chaos - wonder what it will be developed into?!
Love the bath chair sketch - very funny 🤣 Great photography and drone footage. Awesome video 👍

I just feel like I am there too and it feels funny when my vertigo acts up when you looked over the edge!😨🙃😅 The picture is so clear even at 720p that I feel the history, great job!

That was truly amazing , a huge thank you to Yourself and Mat , The only thing better than the Abbey is your sense of humor , you kill me with your quick wit , it keeps me chuckling like a old hen . Its a shame that parts of the building will have to come down , there is so much history and if those walls could talk , what stories they could tell . Thank you both a thousand times . How long ago did you post this? I know where this is, and as I understand it this place is up for redevelopment and restoration of part of the building and surrounding park to be reopened to the public; some people here have said planning premision has been refused so it's possible it is all now stopped, but it's still privately owned by a development company as I understand it. Did you not get into trouble for entering this place? Especially for having used the small carriage with the blue seat, as I can only assume that it is one of probably a few historical objects left from the house as it was originally found. Still, good you found a way in (it is surprising a door was left opened without any safety measures with all those building materials and equipment in there, somebody could steal all that stuff!), even into the grounds themselves as if I'm not mistaken the whole area is fenced and closed off. It's a pity buildings like this are in the hands of private companies and development is stopped gathering dust, and we wouldn't know what they truly are like inside if it wasn't because you did this and posted it. Respect! 👍

Another wonderful place, and the planning have refused passing plans to do it up and turn it into homes. The developers will not put up with this, as the longer it is standing with no care it has already suffered from water ingress and crumbling walls. You young lads allow me to see these mansions, and I cannot thankyou enough. The vandals have already started their spraypainting it as well. ,,,,,,,,old Tich.

Not happy they are taking the latest brick build part down which was build in the 1960 and turned the top of the house into 30 apartments and only the ground floor will be open to the public and the wall garden will be open to the public as well as the tenants of the 326 flats that are going to be build only one hundred and ten will be for rent and two hundred and sixteen for sale. And only one hundred and fifty parking spaces for all them three hundred and sixteen homes hows that going to work. I wonder the out building are going to be used for garden tools for people who are going to use the walled garden and the blocks of flats are ugly as hell and they are removing 150 trees because they say they are coming to the end of there lives and will plant more but it will take years for them to grow just look at all the nature they will loose by doing that the access is right next to the school that is already on the edge of the grounds and housing that is already there with a neighbourhood that is not happy at all and the other access is on the main road im sure you boys know what road i mean how is that going to work. I love the look around even if does make me sad and im glad you didn't get caught boys and tell your friend I don't need a doctor 🤣😅😂 im sub 😅🤣
