- Sorry for the random music, I'm still learning (especially about copyright). Didn't want to make it too boring. 😆 My lunch for the week...
Edit:
Chicken and vegetable stir fry
Ingredients : chicken thigh, broccoli, yellow bell pepper, baby corn, water chestnut, mushroom, onion
blanch broccoli, onion, pepper for a minute or so.
cook chicken (marinated in Shaoxing wine, soy sauce, peanut oil and cornstarch.
add oil, then minced garlic and ginger until fragrant (10-15 sec).
stir fry corn, water chestnut and mushroom to heat thru and soften.
add in blanched veggies and chicken.
add sauce (chicken stock, light and dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and a pinch of brown sugar.
thicken sauce with cornstarch and water mixture.
try not to make a mess with unwieldy tossing of food in wok...
I made this in two batches. I edited it down for the sake of time.
Love the colours in the dish Bryan. Liking the burner set up also..Subscribed to help with the channel..Cheers mate..
Thanks for the kind words. Looking forward to making more videos now that the weather is getting nicer. I also subscribed to your channel
Very nice! Now that you've had it a couple of years how is this setup holding up for you? I am planning on building a similar setup using this same burner but I haven't purchased anything yet. Just curious How the burner holds up over time and what you think of the overall quality. Also How does the fuel efficiency seem to you? I would really appreciate any thoughts you'd be willing to share.
Nice wok Station. I'd like to do the same. How did you cut the hole for you burner?. It's stainlees steel right?
Thanks. I first made a template out of cardboard. Traced that into the table. Drilled a 3/8 hole then used a jig saw with metal blade.
Who’s with me hoping, Bryan can someday, edit out what seems like 2 1/2 needless hours of broccoli being blanched in hot water. End of rant.
I agree, this was my 2nd video...
Nice. How much is the wok setup?
Around $250-300 for the stainless table ($150) and burner ($100-150). The wok was around $13 at my local Asian market.
too much time to cook with that such an intense heat... and I think you use so much soy sauce... keep practicing and learning
where did you get that chrome plated wok ?
Its a stainless wok I got at my local asian supermarket. I got it just to boil water and maybe deep fry. It was only $13.
Does the burner make the stainless table hot?
Only the first inch or two around the burner while on high, nothing too concerning.
@@bryandame541 thanks for the quick reply. I think you should post a video how you set the wok station up. You would get lots of views.
clean your wok afterwaerds
