Matthäus Pospiech he thins paint, doesn't soften it. mostly linseed oil. poppy drying oil is best for lighter colors. liquin is also really great. experiment!

love using these colors, they blend so nicely. poppy oil is also a lifesaver!
Is Mr. Sheehan using poppy oil while painting? I am about to try his technique and wonder how he softens the colours.

Jon Focker can I buy these oils in a grocery store or do I need to visit some special artist store where i get these oils for this purpose ?

special art store. maybe easier to buy online but a real art store will have them.
