Yeah our 50th video! That means a lot to us, and without you guys this would not have been possible! I don't know when the next Livestream will be, but I will talk it over with Erik. Thanks for watching Bud!! : )
Now young Jonathan. Was about your age when I was taught about wire brushing. We called it 'the reconditioning machine'. Those valves will be plenty good enough for what that engine has to do. As someone's said, cordless drill on the stem, gets more pressure. Plus a bit of kerosene with the cutting paste. Great video btw, tractors up and running :) Really enjoyed it.
Hey Bud! Well I would have to agree with you about calling the wire brush 'the reconditioning machine' because that's what it does for sure! Yeah a power drill would have been faster, but I do like doing it the old fashioned way, plus you get more of a 'feel' when lapping by hand. We are glad you enjoyed the video and my tractors Malc, and thanks for the Tips, I will remember them! Thanks for stopping by again Bud!! : )
Wow kind of confused me for a minute there said 4 of July weekend?? (I read the description) need to do that to mine I bet mine had more carbon then humanly possible on it☺️ pretty neet that you still see writing on that valve too.
Yeah we have quite the backlog of videos for you guys, but at least that means we won't be running out of videos any time soon! Yeah sometimes I put valuable info in the description. The writing was a cool find for sure! Sorry for the confusion and thanks for watching Bud!! : )
NIce tractors. Did you ever consider reversing the rear wheels on the '44 to save some space in your tent garage, although have to admit I like the wider look. I hope the valves work out, but man they looked pretty nasty.
Thanks Man!! You know what, that is a great idea! But I too like the wider look for sure. Yeah the valves look bad, but I have faith in the old Girl! Thanks for the 'wheel' suggestion, and thanks for watching again Bud!! : )
Yeah I've heard of doing this, but I honestly enjoy doing it the old fashioned way, it has more character to it! Thanks for the tip though, and thanks for watching!! : )
Hey Jarred!! I apologize for not getting back to your messages. I am ok, don't worry Bud! I have just been really busy working the 2 jobs that I have now! And not to mention I am also VERY busy with the plethora of projects that I have to work on in the garage! Anyway I am now off of work on weekends, so I am mainly free then. Thanks for watching again Jarred, and sorry again for not getting back to your messages!! : )

A cordless drill/driver with reverse makes light work of grinding in valve seats.
Yeah I've heard of doing this, but I honestly enjoy doing it the old fashioned way, it has more character to it! Thanks for the tip though, and thanks for watching!! : )
So, Johnny when are you free from work and have no plans?
