As a born and raised Colorado resident.... I am heartbroken by what my state has now become. Legal MJ was the start of the fall, the Boulder hippie's (that now somehow have tons of $$), the out of CA great mass migration to Colorado home buyers (usually paid for in in cash), a gay governor (first ever... I think?), AND COLORADO is demographically mostly WHITE!! That last point should tell everyone all they need to know about Colorado elites. The liberal/left are complete hypocrites! My large county (Jefferson) is actively CLOSING schools.... due to a supposed "lack" of enrollment. Colorado IS NOT FOR FAMILIES ANY LONGER.... it's only for activist/urban/single/woke/sustainable minded Californians.

I had a social worker/vice principal at DSST Byers (now Cedar) help my teenage daughter run away from home after false abuse allegations. Denver Police told the school my daughter was a runaway, not in DHS care, and under my guardianship, but the social worker still helped my daughter run away from home. My daughter ended up being admitted to Jefferson Hills over that incident, which cost me thousands in medical bills. DSST's school board would not even return inquiries from me about it. Denver Public Schools said, "We don't control them and have no liability over this incident." So, who holds DSST accountable?
The event I described was the bookend of two years of severe misbehavior and overstepping boundaries on the part of DSST. I have it all documented, and it's almost unbelievable. When I've told snippets of my experience with DSST under news articles, there are almost always replies of "That didn't happen." Yeah, I would have thought so too.

    Something to think about…
In regards to politics- being a democratic state, the influence of the WEF/NWO agenda (wokeism):
Now understand that democrats hate republicans (with a passion), and though there have always been differences… but, the democrats have had an agenda since the 60’s- but the agenda was kept (secret), but the intention was not to create too much of a change least they be noticed, but a slow implementation.
But things said by politicians which gave a warning in regards to what is happening and what is in planning, but most people ignored the warnings because- from a republican it would be deemed a “conspiracy theory” and worthless information… nonetheless, those warnings are now becoming a reality… and not a theory.
But democrats still insist anything, any information contrary to their agenda is considered a “conspiracy theory”. Despite all the facts and evidence proving the democrats have been planning a conspiracy to destroy our country and our morals.

I saw the changes in Colorado first hand. I "grew up" as a surfer in Southern California graduating in 1964. Got drafted in 65' along with my whole graduating class and sent to Vietnam. (to cover for LBJ's air America drug running operation). When I got back and experienced being spit on and called traitor by half the people and then hugged and called hero by the other half which caused me to leave, and that's when I found Telluride in 1970. It was paradise until 1983 or so when the big money came out of nowhere and built mountain village, a 23 story hotel, and an airport (scareport) on our little ski area. The "lefties" from SF and NY had taken over the town counsel and by 1990 when their "parachute fliers" kicked out our Hang Gliding community, which had become world renown, and crowed the skies. The leftie snow board crew had crowded our alpine ski slopes, the black lives matter low life's were parading our main street, and the "trans-activists" were reading their filth in our preschool, and pride day parades were done. with "joy".
    .
What a change from our "fun loving" being on the mountain every day, trying to be first in line on powder days, working hard and drinking hard, and just taking in the rarefied air. Like you said that Boulder had become a very radical progressive town, now Telluride had become a close second for the same reasons. The town counsel, the chamber of commerce, the school board, had been infiltrated and us conservatives were asleep at the wheel. It got so bad there that 20 years ago I moved down to the Canyons of the Ancients where the spirit of the San Juan Mountains still survives. The only thing that will win for us is to vote the bastards out, prosecute the election fraudsters, send all the people who won't speak English back, and "lock and load".

We see the concentration of "gimme stuff" Dems in the Denver metro, akin to other big cities, where the homeless, druggies, and criminals congregate. Maybe an intense focus on getting an actual libertarian in as mayor the next election who can effect change by drastically cutting handouts and services to these populations would encourage them to go elsewhere. Which coincided with Obama, whom we all knew was nothing but trouble but "somehow" (mail-in ballots) Colorado chose him. Dark times for our state.

I lived in Colorado back in the good old days... remember the "Don't Californicate Colorado" bumper stickers?
Part of what allowed Colorado to change as radically as it has was what you mentioned in the video. The general sense of freedom... you do you, I'll do me... sort of opened the door for people with other ideas. While many folks were sitting around thinking laissez-faire, a few were thinking "I'll do me by telling you how to do you" relatively unoppossed. The "Califirnicate" bumper stickers were only half-hearted and most just thought them humorous. It turns out they were deadly serious.
I left before it got too bad in Colorado. But I screwed up. I moved to California, where things were tilting left far faster and more steeply! Oops!

As a native to CO, I have seen it go through many changes. Most natives have moved to TX, or MT. It's not the conservative state I grew up in. It's tragic, and it's all due to transplanted Californian's. It started with Highlands Ranch. Most of which was built on a landfill.SURPRISE!!!! Yea, I remember life prior to E470, and its ugly in todays life!!!

Can't stand CA. Laws. If it's happens in CA. It comes to CO. It makes me angry. Colorado is nothing more than a follower of CA. It's Not for our issues. Don't get me started on smoking issues. Smokers have to smoke at the dumpster. And now we have to cater to CAs radical beliefs. Born and raised in Co. And I can't afford to live here. Don't even get me started on the rest of the issues. Border, sanctuary state, green energy. Insurance. And Aurora Colorado issues makes me furious. All those people should be in jail. Now!

Californians started moving here decades ago because it was so great. So great, but not like back home, so they had to ruin it, just like they did back home in California. That’s why transplants are not appreciated- they bring their broken mess to good places and work to “fix” them, totally oblivious to the fact that the ways of the place they fled from are stupid!

California is the scapegoat by the haters that want to exploit you. Name one action, behavior, or activity that Californians brought here that is degrading. Just one. Your mind is corrupted by the hate and blame media. Every Californian that moved here has protected this state! They are the ones that protect the legacy of this state, protect the air, land, and water. The have RESPECT for this state and country! They are the ones that protect human and civil rights! They didn't break anything!
