If someone is looking for a dark vanilla femme fatale perfume than I can recommend "Vanille Noire" from Yves Rocher. I tested it in the store and went on shopping. 3 People in other stores asked me what I was wearing, because they loved it. So I went back to buy it. I love it too, it is a dark, woody and seductive sweet vanilla scent.

Quality of ingredients can also play a factor; and as a guy, I even find masculine-leaning perfumes irrrrrrrresistible. PS - those layering combos are magical. Can't wait to see that video. I agree about some masculine-leaning fragrances being great on women. I it 10ml of Mancera Black Gold for my fella and it's nice on him, but we both find it irresistibly good when I wear it.

And with the male scent a certain strong vibe is connected, which is soothed by her being feminine and by some sweeter or warmer notes in the perfume. And when a man wears a woman's perfume it is equally daring and sexy, since he is so sure of his masculinity that he is unafraid to wear whatever he pleases. But it depends on the notes, it has to be fitting for the person. I love Tom Fords Black Orchid on a manly man for instance, it drives me wild.

You look gorgeous makeup or not! I used to wear Maybelline's Touch of Spice all the time, and it kind of looks like what you have on. My "femme fatale" perfumes are usually Fracas and Hypnotic Poison. I also find 34 Boulevard Saint German by Diptyque kind of mysterious and seductive...it's def got a masculine edge to it, I reccomend! All of your picks are spot on! ALien is an aphrodesaic - if only it wasn't so popular!
I wear Alien never had one comment about it my 19 yr old Daughter doesn't like it.. same with Gold Juicy Couture,but have been told my perfume was nice by a Female friend and it was Cool Water by Davidoff.

Hi Demi. Such a well thought out list. I find it hilarious that of the six fragrances you mentioned, I (a guy) wear four of your femme fatales. The only two I do not wear are Alien and Dior Addict. SDV, BTB, & TV are all marketed as unisex. But I also wear Noir Pour Femme. Why? Because I love Noir Extreme Pour Homme, and Pour Femme smells nearly the same. Except Pour Femme is stronger, slightly sweeter, and lasts and projects way better than Pour Homme. I'll do two sprays of Pour Homme on one side of my neck and one spray of Pour Femme on the other side, and that's all I need. It's a definite improvement over Pour Homme alone. I agree with just about everything you said in this video including about Alien and Dior addict. I know what they smell like even though I don't wear them. I have a miniature of Alien that Mugler sent me, and it's really very beautiful. The only thing you said I disagree with is about thinking of SDV as not a gourmand. I definitely think it is one in all of its boozy and vanillic glory. That's actually a fun disagreement to have. It means SDV is perhaps more versatile than either of us previously thought.

Hi Demi, have you tried out "Velvet Teddy" by MAC? It smells like honey and tobacco flower. I found it very unique but I dont know if most people like it as much. The honey note is very strong.
Tobacco Vanille is such an amazing scent. My first Tom Ford Fragrance when I first delved into this hobby years ago. I love smelling it on a woman too. Sophisticated, classy and sexy on a woman but masculine on a gentleman. Love the rest of your pics, especially Back to Black. Kilian is a true fragrance visionary. My list would include other favourites like Bacarat Rouge 540, Serge Lutens Chergui, Amouage Memoir Woman, and Dior Ambre Nuit.

I always get compliments on "Angelo di Fiume" by Linari. If you can find a bottle (I got mine from a niche perfume, skincare and makeup boutique in my city that is sadly closed now) or at least a sample, definitely try it if you haven't already. It's probably, in my opinion, best described as a smoky, fruity caramel with a patchouli undertone... It's also got some sort of resinous or incense-like note going on in the background which helps with the smokiness, I guess. I really love it. I treasure my bottle and it's perfect for winter! In the Australian heat it blooms nicely on skin too but it works really well as a cold-weather fragrance. The bottle also looks very beautiful. :)

Too me, it’s even more captivating and sultry than the original, due to its heavy vanilla dose and orris root. It manages to be classy and “dirty” at the same time. I can only wear it once in a while since heavy jasmines are headache inducing for me (bummer! 😫), but it’s such a gem 💎 ❤️

How does one become familiar with the various notes in perfume ie where can you test the scents that are not readily available as a spice in the pantry, for example bergamot, Tonka bean, and others. I have very similar taste to you but I couldn't believe you opened this video with Mugler's Alien. No men I know like it. It lives up to the name and just upsets men and makes them nauseous and induces migraines, going by my own bold enquiries :D. Also, Alien' is the most basic-b scent I can think of. The only people I encounter in daily life who wear it are middle-aged, working class housewives in badly fitting bras but perfectly done acrylic nails and young women with box-dyed, neglected hair and a laundry list of family member's names tattooed on their arm. Nobody ever wears Alien: IT wears them. Are there genuinely men who are intoxicated by this scent? Men are simple animals when it comes to, ahem, sexual attraction and also very sensitive to women's fragrances so I'm deeply intrigued about what kind of men are drawn in by this. Fascinating!

THIS is the video I've been looking for! I love these types of fragrances, I'm not overly girly but i do want to smell 'sexy'. I've worn Alien for years but to switch it up I moved on to Jo Malone Myrrh and Tonka which I also love, but I'm now bored of that too. I've worn Black Orchid in the past but not sure I find it 'sexy' and I also have Noir de Noir which I find maybe too strong for day to day? I've also tried Good Girl and as much as I love the dry down, I'm really not keen on it once initially sprayed. I will definitely try the Noir pour femme and Dior Addict.

I have love, don’t be shy and adore it and recently purchased Guerlain Double Vanille and find it to be too boozy and creamy so I mix it with Montales Vanille Absolu and it’s perfect! & I remember you said you do makeup, is that how you’re able to purchase so many fragrances?

How does one become familiar with the various notes in perfume ie where can you test the scents that are not readily available as a spice in the pantry, for example bergamot, Tonka bean, and others. I would really like to get familiar with scents as I love your videos however I don't always understand how you differentiate between the notes. Thanks Amelia

I have very similar taste to you but I couldn't believe you opened this video with Mugler's Alien. No men I know like it. It lives up to the name and just upsets men and makes them nauseous and induces migraines, going by my own bold enquiries :D. Also, Alien' is the most basic-b scent I can think of. The only people I encounter in daily life who wear it are middle-aged, working class housewives in badly fitting bras but perfectly done acrylic nails and young women with box-dyed, neglected hair and a laundry list of family member's names tattooed on their arm. Nobody ever wears Alien: IT wears them. Are there genuinely men who are intoxicated by this scent? Men are simple animals when it comes to, ahem, sexual attraction and also very sensitive to women's fragrances so I'm deeply intrigued about what kind of men are drawn in by this. Fascinating!

THIS is the video I've been looking for! I love these types of fragrances, I'm not overly girly but i do want to smell 'sexy'. I've worn Alien for years but to switch it up I moved on to Jo Malone Myrrh and Tonka which I also love, but I'm now bored of that too. I've worn Black Orchid in the past but not sure I find it 'sexy' and I also have Noir de Noir which I find maybe too strong for day to day? I've also tried Good Girl and as much as I love the dry down, I'm really not keen on it once initially sprayed. I will definitely try the Noir pour femme and Dior Addict.
