BASS
So nice to see more talented instrumentalists in this mumble-rap-and-four-chords-pop-dominated-spotify-fucked-up-era appear. :)
I can't tell if this song is about to become a huge hit, or if RUclips has just hacked into my brain and figured out that I could use some more Polish funk bassists.
Thank you for putting this into words

This describes my current state perfectly
Before iclicked it i thougt this is some kind of Хардбасс
This is like children's music for adults
👍🏼👍🏼😅
...Or adult music for children
All good funk is. As a matter of fact old Sesame Street has a lot of old school funk music in it, the "Extended Funky Chimes Theme" was in every episode for years.
I don't feel the need to wish Kinga Glyk success.
Kinga Glyk is already killing it.
Excellent!!!
party on wayne!
Kinga is one of the best young bass players to emerge in recent years. Her technique is phenomenal. Nice groove on this track too.
Every once in a long while RUclips actually puts something in my feed that is new and interesting.
Kinga,
This is my favourite song. Like... ever. Whenever I’m feeling down, Joy Joy goes on repeat. Learning it on bass now, and challenged Davie504 and CharlesBerthound to play it.
It deserves to be a major hit.
I agree, this song seems to be very uplifting.
The moment you become a bass player in a band. You become the coolest person in the band.
Don't forget to tell the other people in the band! They're ignoring me when I tell them.
Thanks. We know. 😅
It's still true if you remove "in a band" from both sentences
As a metalhead, I indeed find this to be absolutely joyous..
I concur!
What does being a metalhead have to do with it?
@@SuperNamedude that perhaps funk is a different genre of music theoretically and the overall feeling not saying metal can't be joyous or funk can't be unjoyous tho
@@jeevakrishnan4500 That's the first time I've come across the word "unjoyous".
Super. Takiej muzy brakuje. Stay positive.
Jaco would be proud. I'm so happy as a bass player that there are so many AMAZING bassists alive today! :)

that just ruled. gonna listen again and it will definitely rule again.
Wow! Evrything in this song is perfect! Not only the bass the synths too! Yes. It so sad that radios do not play instrumentalmusica as in 70s and 80s! Greetings from Finland, nearby the Arctic Circle...where Jaco´s grandma came from :)
Sounds like it could be on Herbie Hancocks "future shock" album.
Burt Reynolds funny how it sounds like completely contemporary jazz-funk
Minus all the cool shit Herbie had on his album. Fck sake!
This basically illustrates that most white people have no ears.
@@jnnx I'm white???
Well said Brudda, Herbie, Rock it....
Kinga! Jak ja chcę Ciebie więcej w Polsce - wszędzie! Bardzo pozytywny numer!
I am so thinking of Sega's Toe Jam and Earl right now. Love it!
2:32 when you feel the funk on 99% and random "C'MON" makes it 100%
Imagine Bootsy Collins saying it!
I was reading this comment as "C'MON" hit my ears hahaha it was hilarous
@@BMR86
Then „HIT ME!” hits too :D
Excelent PRODUCTION, Ilike this humor and the melodies... BIG LOVE TO THIS WOMAN WITH SUCCES
As a bassist, would have like to seen more of her playing. She has a good groove
Work it out by ear, then record yourself playing it. You can watch the whole thing begining to end to your heart's content.
A video like this has a more broad appeal the general public. Play throughs are cool, but you’re limiting the audience.
Search for Kinga Glyk
@@plykkegaard1 Just took your advice and listened to Kinga Glyk band live. Wow, really good stuff and killer walking bass lines. Thanks much.
same ,
I need to practice more on the BASS
Great tune!
...I feel the same!
Francesco Fogliatto yup ... same here 👍🏻👍🏻🎶
Try to Play Russian Хардбасс with it ;)
slappers rise up
Man , this puts a smile on my face every time, K is such a fine player, love it!
What manner of badassery is this.
The very best kind.
bassaddery
Without doubt one of my favourite bassists.
This is the first I'm hearing about you and I am really impressed with the music and your skills. Great job and a big THANK YOU Kinga for the really cool video you have shared which brought me Joy listening to it!
yes mate, this is class on another level
I don't think enough people understand how incredibly creative her actual groove is. I'm definitely going to use some of this in my jam sessions.
Slapped like and SUBSCRIBED now.
This is so silly and wholesome, I love it
Im a bass player but after hearing this, i'm sticking to playing the radio. How delightful.
My guy I totally believe you have it in you. It's not how much talent we have. It's how bad we want it. I'm sure if you wanted it bad enough just about anything you wanted to play on bass would be yours for the playing . That being said , That's the cleverest comment I've heard in reference to playing music in a long time. Respect for the humor and more respect for all my bottom end, glue that holds everything together as only bass can while knowing that statistically You're almost better off playing the lottery than expecting anyone to pick out your parts in a song or learn your name even if you play in their favorite band, unsung band hero friends . Keep on keeping on... And keeping time😅 respect 👊🏽
Widać u Kingi wyraźną inspirację Krzysztofem Ścierańskim - ze wspaniałym rezultatem! Stałem się natychmiastowym fanem, brawo!
Skąd myśl o takiej inspiracji?
the groove in this song is wild, dare i say even joe dart-esque
Blake Ellis You may dare indeed.
1:22 is straight up Dean Town!
Rpodnee dean town was written by woody goss :)
@@GrungeyMr who is that?
Rpodnee Woody is in Vulfpeck. He usually plays keyboard/piano and always smiles at a great bass fill.
Love You ! Best clip I've seen for a long, long, looooong time. It says all, that it has to be said. Whithout any word. Thank You!!
Very vulfpecky with your own touch. I love it.
Without context, this sounds like a line from "A Clockwork Orange".
Lmao dude, theres much more besides Vulfpeck
Thank you RUclips for putting this in my feed. A lot of fun and a killer groove
In other Words: Basslady teleporting random people into television by modulating electromagnetic radiation with her instrument
Thanks, I needed a bit of joy today. Great song to listen to during these shitty times
That was some excellent bass playing.
glad to have discovered this. It sounds like a 80s classic, the chorus is really great !
This just made me smile! Classic sound!
I have ZERO idea on why this video wound up in my recommended feed, but this is INCREDIBLE! Great old school funk type groove to it.
loving that line after the double stops!
Niesamowite ponadczasowe.
Reminds me of the jazz we listened to in the 70s, good good stuff.
Love it! Love it! Love it! Love it!
Wonderful groove! Beautiful playing! Amazing fingers!
Thanks for your music, it makes me smile and makes me enjoy the joy!
Greetings from Mexico!
Love how you mixed that old bass in with the new.Just goes to show you how great Gibson was back in the day.Learned about it from Frank Zappa in the 70s.
That's not a Gibson
It’s Greco.
I have been playing bass for 15 plus years and I can't believe I never heard of you until now!!!!!!! you are killin it on the bass, and you have millions of views, that's impressive. and on other videos you were ricking the fender jazz, but this old school Gibson SG bass is beautiful! I didn't know you could get such a funky sound out of one of those...
That synth effect is out of this world like outta sight groovy daddy-o solid far out and right on 🎼👾🎼
Love this! Happy music and happy video when the world needs it. She’s fantastic!!
Is this an instrumental pop song in 2019? Maybe music isn't so dead.... great synth in this song too!
Music has never been dead, just gotta know where to look. :)
@@Wonkyth I don't see any correlation between pop being live or not alive and existence of instrumental songs in this genre.
And well, this song is nothing really special plus it's not pop.
And it's a bass player's production! As a bass player I'm thrilled! haha
If you think music is dead, you really gotta start listening to different modern bands.
A little bit “Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick” from Ian Dury, but much faster. I like it!
Something about this song always gets me in a good mood. The groove, the fantastic bass playing, Kingas happy face, the keyboard solo or just the whole package. Anyway, thanks so much for posting. This made my day more than once.
Groove is in the heart!
The only crime here is that this video has not more views. Excellent performance. I love the tune
Especially after a year. This wasn't a normal RUclips vid shot by one person.
This was the kind of fun videos were in the 80's, before Stevie Nicks' million dollar video changed the game into big bizness. Love that ripping bass line!
Excellent playing! Kinga Glyk's style is similar to Rocco Prestia from Tower of Power. So glad RUclips recommended.
Great playing, I also dig the Rickie Lee Jones look
If Jaco and Rickie Lee had a daughter, I was thinking...
@@WisconsinMegaphone Yeah I was feeling some Jaco
Great music, great fun, great feel. Go, Kinga, go! 👍😎🙏🤣
It's like Level 42 and Mezzoforte had a baby - and that's a good thing!

i commented this before the bass synth solo... damn that was good JAZZ BASS

Ten seconds in and I'm like; Thank you, RUclips recommendations! A young person playing a Greco SG bass, of all things (why not some fancy modern boutique bass?) and wearing a beret (a nod to Jaco Pastorious?), a smart video with a bit of personality and thought behind it and a good song? I'm in!
Awesome! Just awesome!
Great to see some really good bass funk being played today!
Long live Kinga and funk!
heard some crazy runs. this woman is a goddess
Joyful to see this. Great vibes, great person, simple yet amazing video full of smiling faces and JOY! Everything in it is so clean and real, thing that it's so diffiuclt to find nowadays! You really let me with a big smile on my face. Brava :)
HOT DAMN. THIS IS INSANE!🔥
Thank God!!! Finally I get to watch a great bass playing video with actual bass playing in it!! Excellent bass lines and fills and overall groove...not like those overrated bass videos which are just guys showing that they can slap or tap for 4 consecutive minutes (boring as hell). Sorry for the rant, but once again thanks for being the difference and bring quality and good name to the instrument I play and love. Hail BASS!!!
Amazing BASS, slap like on this video like NOW.
If you say so, Davie.
OMG
Approved👍
Hello, SLAPPERS!
EPICO!
This music video is so captivating
Definitely influences of Joe Dart from Vulfpeck in this. Bit of Dean Town in there for sure as someone said below.
35...41 secs in best 6 seconds of the track
Was about to say the same thing
Dean Town influence...YES....ba da ba Dibabda Bomp!
you must be responsible for that video turning up in the upnext
More like of Jaco
Congratulations on ALL of your career’s success. and much more to come. Can’t wait.
Super... it is a tribute to Jaco pastorius... I like ...from France
Ha ha ! cette merde disco tribute to jaco ? Heuuu mais oui

When I first glanced at the thumbnail of the video I almost immediately thought of Jaco Pastorious. I then went ahead and listened to the song/video and am truly impressed. Keeping fusion alive! 😎😎
really love the synth bass solo moment
Daniel Karamazov that part was awesome 👏🏿
No niezłe, niezłe... Przypomina mi stare dobre Kombi z pierwszych płyt,czyli coś spod hasła tzw "Muzyki młodej generacji"
