Amen to that. I ADORE old school tv. There’s something about classic tv that interest me more than newer tv. Yeah you get shows like Boardwalk Empire, Game Of Thrones, and downtown Abby to name a few. But most tv nowadays is all reality shows and stuff. Without these shows, we wouldn’t have the sitcoms and dramas we have today. Think about that! :-)

And a genius she was, a comic genius. I loved this show as a teenager and I love it even more as a senior. It wasn't until I was able to watch the reruns as an adult that I realized how extremely talented Patty was. Her cousin wasn't as funny but she was such a sweetheart and equally as talented as well.,

You are right Bruce...Patty Duke was a genius...a comic genius as well as a dramatic genius....Anyone who could also play a dual believable role of 2 cultures is definitely a sharp mind.

Anytime Paul Lynde shows up onscreen the energy level and comedy ramps up quite a few notches. He had that certain delivery making fun of the whole thing going on in the script that just made you bust out laughing.

*Patty:* Mom, _I'm_ doing this for _Cathy's_ sake. I mean, she's traveled around Europe all her life with her father, living in hotels. She never had a _chance_ to wash dishes. I mean, _that's_ not _natural_ . _We're_ giving her a chance to feel at _home_ .
    *Natalie:* 4-_get_ it, Tom Sawyer...
    I love Natalie's retort.

This episode reminds me a little bit of the Simpsons episode Bart The Genius in that both Patty & Bart manipulate the system to make them look like geniuses. As a matter of fact, I guess you can say in this episode…
    Patty is Bart
Cathy is Mulhouse Vanhouton. All she had to do is say “Everything is coming up Cathy.”
Also, when you watch this episode, you can see how young Patty was.
