As far as I can tell, this piece seems composed in a rondo form, something like a ABA'CA+coda. A - theme I: 0:00 B - Episode I: 0:42 A' - theme I with elaboration: 1:05 (note how incredibly well written the development of the first theme is: This is harmonically, the wildest part of the piece, with modulation through several keys and incredible counterpoint from 1:22 onwards) C - Episode II: 1:37 (very reminiscent of flamenco, the theme here is beautifully developed to end in a D major climax) A - theme I: 2:26 Coda: 3:11 It is built with incredible economy, especially in the development of small musical phrases such as the beginning of A and C. Played in such an intricate arrangement, this piece becomes a gem in the solo classical guitar repertoire. However, it is more often performed in duo, as the solo version poses many technical challenges, that place the piece nowhere below the very advanced repertoire.
What a beautiful arrangement that elegantly highlights all the wonderful details and counterpoint of this incredible composition. And it's played with amazing accuracy and sound. Thank you so much!
What 'duet' are you referring to? Falla (whom I have studied thoroughly) wrote this piece originally for orchestra as a dance fragment included in his opera 'La vida breve'. Later he made an arrangement of it for solo piano. I find this arrangement for guitar very good.
Gotta love the mind that has created this.... and the one that can render it so beautifully....
This is a brilliant arrangement! It has nearly everything the duet has, though I think the guitarist deserves a lot of credit

Great, rapid playing accustomed to hearing slow pieces by this composer.

@TermsofService my favourite player of this solo guitar version is Nichola Hall , from her recording many years ago.
You can find on youtube many duet version of this piece for two guitars, including the old good Julian Bream & John Williams version

Yes, I can't believe I finally found the origin of the sample! Lie is one of my favourite pop songs to sample a classical piece.
