Beautiful projects! When gold started to make a comeback in home decor, I was like no way am I going to use tacky gold in my home decor. The gold tones used in this day and age are so much more beautiful than they were in my childhood. Little by little it has grown on me. The gold on these projects are truly stunning. I can't believe how beautiful that little bird turned out. The wreath was absolutely beautiful and the cloche as well. You have made me a gold lover!
I was never big on gold either. This spring I have added little touches of gold and I am loving it!! I totally agree with the gold years ago. It always looked dingy to me. And whats cool is if someone likes that older gold look, they also have gold leaf that looks just like that. I think gold can go with just about any home decor style depending on how you use it and how much you use. I am so happy you enjoyed these projects. I was wondering if you could make a video about how your life is with being an above knee right leg amputee, and maybe show us a full body view of how you manage to decorate, hang all your amazing things, etc. It would be inspiring for those who have the same condition.
Hi Holly, I was actually just talking with my mom about this. I think I am going to start by being in my videos more to try and get myself more comfortable. I have a video on my tiktok and I show my leg for a moment and just that made me feel a little better about being on camera. I want to show people not to let something like that or any other disability stop you. Being a mom with one leg (no prosthetic leg) with 2 children ages 3 and 9 is hard but it is possible and so worth it. Maybe I will start doing youtube and Instagram stories or something about my life until I can get comfortable with making an entire video. But It will happen, I'm sure of it because you all make me feel so comfortable and I could never thank you all enough.

Zig two way, tombow mono, and aileens tack it over and over may work better for leafing. They all dry sticky. Using a sponge to apply it is helpful and you can stamp with the first two... imagine using the dollar tree stamps to guild with.... think I just planned my next project 😆

I like to break the rules a little 🤣. I was just using it at first to highlight the texture that is one the bird but I LOVED the look so much I thought lets just go for it lol. I love how it turned out. I used it to color some Easter eggs for home decor. I completely covered them as well and they are stunning! That’s an interesting use of rub and buff, typically it’s to highlight texture ❤ it looks really nice though….
