Upgrade of FeelTech FY3224S using the THS3092

- I recently watched this video • Fixing the MHS-5200A by devttys0 and decided to try it on my own 24MHz FeelTech FY3200S.
The problem is that at high frequencies (greater than around 15MHz) the final stage op-amps are unable to produce the requested Vpp so I decided to replace them. According to devttys0 this is because the original parts lack the required slew rate.
On investigating my own function generator, I discovered that these op-amps had fake part numbers on them so I was unable to determine what they originally where. I replaced them anyway with genuine TI THS3092 parts and the Vpp now remains correct all the way up to 24MHz.
nice work!
I plan on making the same modification however the current TI part number is THS3092D. Have you had any issues with the op-amp change out?
Well, the TI Op-amps worked for about a minute, the heatsink got quiet warm and the Op-amps failed. This modification did not work.
That's weird, it's still working fine for me. Sorry it didn't work.

The odd thing, the next day I powered up the unit with each output going into the inputs of the scope. Clean sine wave for about 15 minutes, then, channel one failed again, pulling down the power supply. So I assume I have one faulty op-amp, but at almost $15 a piece, I'm not ordering another one.
I'll change out the channel one op-amp with the original one.
Thanks for the reply.

Update to my last update.
Mouser sent me another op-amp under warranty. All now works.
@@bblod4896 great, thanks for updating me, and I'm glad you got it sorted!
thanks
Do you have the CD with the PC software for it?
interesting video, thanks. please improve your audio next time ...
can it make sweep on both channels independently ?
I'm sorry, I can't remember and I don't have this device any more!
