I'm looking forward to watching this sometime, it's coming to a streaming service soon. I was a big Barbie fan as a kid in the 80s. I even saved them, originally if I had daughters, which I didn't. I didn't have any kids. But they did get played with, by my nieces. So it wasn't totally to waste. I always dreamed of being Barbies size. I was always fluffy and pudgy, but never saw a thicker Barbie until later. She's supposed to have Downs syndrome and I think there's a non-downs syndrome Barbie, who's also shorter and stockier. I'd love to see a much bigger Barbie. Almost a permanently pregnant one, with extra softness around the middle. That may never happen, because executives probably think that one won't sell. I can't wait to hear America Ferrera's speech. It's basically Tumblr out loud. How hard women work and have to, because men just make so much more money than we women do. And also their ideas are so much more respected than women's. It's comical and sad at the same time. I'll probably be told to shut up or relax, after posting this very comment. It's so true though. And I wish the conversation would be more equal and believed, rather than being jeered and assumed we're on our periods or just are mad all the time. It's not being mad, it's being tired and frustrated by how things are.
In a political adjacent discussion i believe "why do you even care" "be open minded" or "it doesn't effect you" are all apathetic and avoid the real pros and cons of the heart of the issue.

If you align with ben shabibo, just like they mention, you were going to be upset about this movie no matter what. Ben's whole persona/character is someone who is upset with literally anything that doesn't align with the right/far right in the very slightest.
