When you watch the fight, Blitzo never actually attacked Barbie. He'd pull her off of Moxxie, but he wouldn't actually hurt her. As for why he wanted to find her, all the way back in season 1 Verosika said she was in rehab. I seriously got the vibe of a concerned sibling worried Barbie had relapsed. Even her defensive attitude when he asked if she was on a harder drug from Hell again gave the impression that he was worried she was backsliding. I think that she might be the only blood family he has left and after seeing Stolas get hurt, his first instinct was to check on her too.

I think thats the best theory I had too, it just felt really out the blue with no link to Stolas, even if they'd shown us him flipping through the images on his phone again, going from Stolas to Barb and being like: OH!!!
Then it would have made more sense and not left 90% of us thinking he was going to see Stolas in that first scene

@@WeeLassReacts Stolas is not the only character in the show or in Blitzo's life tho.
It seems weird to think he would suddenly have a MASSIVE dose of character development and start being overly concerned for Stolas when has usually unfortunately not done that many times (for understandable reasons)
It makes more sense he would focus on his family. He previously started sobbing just from looking at a pic of them, treats his daughter with more more warmth than anyone despite how she is, and wants his employees to think of him as family.

Yeah after watching an analysis video the Mille and Moxie stuff makes a bit more sense, still didn't enjoy how it came about and the 2nd hand embarrasment though LOL. Why Blitz went after his sister still felt super random though, I have more questions and no answers. @@WeeLassReacts Blitz realizing Stolas can be hurt may have been the trigger. Blitz wants a relationship, wants family, but something happened in the past that seems to have made him an outcast and got his sister hooked on Hell's version of hard drugs so uranium mixed with the T-Virus levels of *WTF* , the father and mother seem to be missing and given he cried at a photo of him with his sister and mother possibly related to something with them. But Blitz may have though Stolas was a *safe* relationship as Stolas as far as he knew couldn't be hurt and would likely live forever even as Blitz grew old and died. But its not safe, and people are after Stolas, so desperate attempt to rekindle with his sister. Although it also felt like he had been doing that, using the fact she was trapped in rehab to try and visit her with her stuck listening to him.

I find it very interesting that when Barb tells Blitzo she never wants to see him again, she points directly at the necklace Blitzo has from his mother. Her finger even folds up when in contact with the necklace. Maybe the reason for this is because Barbie is indirectly telling Blitzo that the reason she never wants to see him is the same reason why he is the one wearing the necklace and not her or their Mom.

Honestly, all of us were hoping Blitz would be sneaking into the hospital to see Stolas. As for Barbie Wire crossing out her tattoo (or birthmark, but I don’t think it was on Blitz’s head when he was a kid so I think it’s a tattoo) it’s probably because that’s their family trademark and she doesn’t want to be apart of the family anymore. Would explain part of why she seems so determined to get Blitz out of her life.

The guy Blitz roughs up in the alley is actually a succubus/incubus like Verosika as you can tell by the horn design, and he does this because they are the ones that are given the Asmodeus crystals that let them get into the human world and take on human disguises, so he forced them to open up a portal for him. It's interesting that Barb has one as well though, and hers is in the form of a watch she wears on her wrist. Also the fact he didn't just steal the guys crystal and use it/keep it for himself might have something to do with it needing to be given to them officially or attuned to them somehow - making it doubly interesting Barb has one.

Barbie-Wire crossed the symbol on her forehead because it's the symbol of the circus they were a part of, and it seems that they all want to move on from that in their own way.
Barbie-Wire crossed the symbol, Blitzø made the o in his name silent so that he doesn't sound like a clown name anymore, and Fizzarolli we don't really know, but him pretending to not be an Imp might be related to that somehow.

Blitz becoming desperate to rekindle his relationships with his family is so good especially since blitz has had the problem of pushing everyone in hus life away and now he is finally recognizing that and is trying to fix it. It might have something to do with stolas being hurt. I love their relationship. He'd clearly never give up on her, and even if she plays rebellious, she really does care about him and love him for giving her an actual chance at a life as opposed to what she would've had if she had aged out of the adoption system. Also, in the episode where she gets her s-h-o-t, she gives a very brief little comforted smile when Blitz says it'll just be a little prick and she won't feel it, and that's just everything to me XD

  • @DesMuttYS

    1) It's not a mystery why Blitz is looking to talk to his sister. It was established pretty early on that he wants family, and even says in the pilot, "We don't abandon family." We don't know what happened with his mom, but she's likely gone. His father didn't care about him, only showing any interest when the dad could get Blitzo to rob Stolas's house. Fizzarolli was his best friend, and not only rejected him -- becoming a popular entertainer in his own right -- but outright mocked and humiliated him. So, it makes sense that he would still want to keep in contact with the one person in his family he still could, with the last person he grew up with, and was a part of his biological family.
    2) Moxxie's reaction makes sense considering his personality. Remember, back in "Truth Seekers" during the bad trip, Moxxie outright admits, "I'm afraid of rejection." He likely did not care what those girls actually thought of him until they actively and brutally rejected him, at which point, he felt the need to get their approval. So, seeing his wife (who he already feels is incredible and "better than I deserve,") being accepted by them so easily while he is being rejected is naturally going to make him jealous. Add in the fact that he feels the need to prove himself by taking the lead on the investigation and job, and it is no surprise he gets worked up the way he did. Is it fair? No. Is it understandable? Yes. Remember, these are not perfect characters. They are all deeply flawed, and those flaws are going to come out from time to time.
As someone has pointed out elsewhere: even healthy relationship have issues. The important thing is to talk them out, and (if you are wrong or do wrong) apologize and try to make up for it.

Honestly this was one of my favourite episodes so far, normally I don't really like cringe humour but i feel like it was actually done well here. The writing was top notch, M&M had their first real conflict and it made a lot of sense for both their characters. Moxxie is a perfectionist who wants to prove himself to authority figures, especially since Blitzø sort of serves as his surrogate dad and we all know how his relationship with his biological dad is. This was the first time Millie really got to shine and it's great, it makes sense that she would enjoy being in the spotlight since we know she came from a large family and probably didn't get much attention growing up. Probably why she hasn't gotten much spotlight actually, she's just used to being in the background. Moxxie absolutely slays once more and tomboy Millie is adorable. I like that they actually went on a hit again seeing how they haven't done that since episode 4, episode 6 if you count the fact that they were probably offing someone since they were on earth. Our introduction to Barbie Wire was nothing short of perfect, at first i was upset she wasn't in it more but i actually like it, she isn't there for long because she wants absolutely nothing to do with Blitzø. Also with the next episode featuring Fizzarolli we may be closer than ever to uncovering Blitzø's backstory. Blitzø goes after his twin sister, the only family he has left only for her to effectively disown him. Now with Stolas slipping through his fingers the I.M.P group is truly all he has left. I know some people were upset that Stolas wasn't in this episode but I actually think that's for the best. I've been looking for a good excuse to bring this up so I'll just do it here. I think the best way to approach Stolas and Blitzø's relationship is to give them some space, I feel like this would be done best as a "right people, wrong time" kind of a thing. Stolas has shown that he doesn't fully understand the power imbalance between them, he acts like they're equals, but they're not. And with how he reacted when everyone found out he was sleeping with an Imp in Ozzies I get the vvibe that he wasn't expecting that reaction, that he didn't know there was anything "wrong" with a Goetia dating an Imp. I feel like he needs to learn more about the class difference in hell, and with Strikers speech in the last episode i think the ultimate conclusion for his arc will be him trying to use his status to improve quality of life for the lower classes of hell, not just Imps but hellhounds and succubi too. And Blitzø is by no means ready for a romantic relationship at the moment. He needs a generous dose of therapy before he can pursue a relationship of any kind. We all know that he hates himself, and those of us who've seen centaurworld know what self-loathing can do to a relationship. He considers himself to be unlovable, he thinks everyone will leave him eventually so he leaves them first to save himself the heartbreak. But all he does is hurt them causing them to hate him making him hate himself even more. He needs to learn to love himself before he can even consider being in a romantic relationship. Sorry this is so long i got wrapped up in my thoughts

Like out of guilt of not going to see Stolas in the hospital, he goes to see the one other person he is close to also in a recovery situation. Blitz only just had the "Stolas can get hurt?" epiphany and if something bad can happen to a Goetia lord of hell like him, someone way down the food chain like and imp can be even worse. I think Blitz is in a bit of a tizzy trying to repair his close relationships especially since he probably knows he messed up not seeing or talking to Stolas.

With the plans, the identities, etc. he lost sight of the forest for the trees. That's why realizing he'd been jealous of Milly, and pivoting to support her coincided with him committing to getting the job done. He realized he already had everything he needed, and didn't have anything to prove.

I honestly don't know why, but I feel like the tie to Western Energy could have definitely been stronger but it's there, because Blitz just got smacked in the face with the fact Stolas, someone who he begrudgingly cares for but takes for granted due to their social standing, power and the book deal, can actually get hurt and thus die and leave for good. And that's probably making him spiral to check on the people he technically still has and cares for, Moxie and Millie are accounted for, so is Loona after her shot and he knows Stolas is in the hospital and probably not leaving anytime soon (once again, taking Stolas for granted because Blitz is a disaster who can't see Stolas actually cares about him social standing and the deal aside, man's a self fulfilling prophecy, he pushes away the people he cares for and some times chases the ones who don't want nothing to do with him, because Barb's actions are pretty much an unspoken way of her saying she doesn't want to have anything to do with him), then that just leaves Barb, his twin sister and presumably only living family he cares for in any way and who he can possibly reach out to and talk about all this with, it's his oldest burning bridge he's trying to rebuild to hopefully have a support system, but then he ended up messing that up to because all he had to do is listen to Moxie before looking for Barb, because that way they could have avoided the final altercation and Barb wouldn't be out of a job and have even MORE reasons to hate him besides whatever the heck happened in the Circus and presumably meeting Verosika in rehab. Or he could have just listened to the nurse and left her alone like how she wanted to be after getting the confirmation she's fine. Blitz is fascinating to analyze from a psychological stand point won't lie, though I agree that the episode was very underwhelming, but in a way it makes sense why he'd be looking for her after Western Energy, all of his other folks are technically accounted for, so that just leaves her.

There is a theory going around about what happened. Judging from the pictures of Blitz with Fizz and Barb, there was a falling out around the time Blitz was an adult. That there was an accident at Buckzo's circus and Blitz was the cause of it. Resulting in Fizz losing his limbs and Barb no longer being able to perform on the high wire. Cartoon Universe talks about this in their latest video.
My theory: Blitz tried to perform a never-before-seen act in order to get the audience's attention. Something went wrong resulting in a similar chain reaction that destroyed Lu Lu Land. Blitz was injured but it wasn't as bad as Fizz who lost his limbs and Barb losing her balance and falling. Blitz hinted that he hadn't performed since... Thus, telling the audience that there was an accident. In his hallucination Verosika said that "you shove away anybody who gets to close until their resent you." Fizz and Barb were close to Blitz, supported him and probably told him don't worry next time will be better, or try a new act. Blitz probably pushed them away saying that he doesn't need their help and that he came up with a spectacular act that would show all of them. Or he emotionally manipulated them into helping him with his act. Thus, causing the accident, and since Blitz didn't apologize their love festered into hate.

I think that Blitzø sought out Barbie because he isn’t ready to face Stolas, because his feelings toward him are too complicated. But he still wants reassurance that people love him-that he won’t die alone. The idea of Stolas being able to get hurt and possibly die probably hit him like a truck so he’s retreating back to things that are more familiar-what’s more familiar than family?
Barbie Wire is his twin. She’s seen him in every single stage of his life literally since before birth. I can see why he’d view her as the one person who would never be able to turn him away, no matter what he did.
Blitzø is scared and confused about his feelings toward Stolas, but he doesn’t seem to have anything like that with Barb. Heck, he might have even wanted to talk to her about his feelings for Stolas, see if she could help him figure things out. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’d had those kinds of conversations in the past-talking about crushes and dates and things as kids.
Blitzø doesn’t have anyone to talk to. He doesn’t have anyone to help him figure out how he’s feeling. He values Millie and Moxxie’s opinion of him too much to risk admitting to them how scared he is-he needs them to see him as their fearless leader. He can’t talk to Loona about it because she’s his daughter; he’s meant to care for her, not the other way around. He can’t talk to Stolas himself because that would mean admitting his feelings to him and what if Stolas doesn’t feel the same? What if he really does see Blitzø as just a plaything, a fun distraction? (I know we know better, but Blitzø doesn’t).
Who does that leave for him to talk to? He can’t talk to Verosika, he killed any chance of a meaningful relationship with her long ago even if she did once feel he was important enough for her to tattoo his name on her arm. His childhood best friend Fizzorolli is out-Blitzø seems to have quite literally burned that bridge. Who does that leave him?
Blitzø’s fear of dying alone seems to be a self-fulfilling prophecy. He’s so terrified of opening up and making himself vulnerable that he doesn’t realize what all of his walls have made-he’s living in an emotional prison of his own creation.

I do wish it wasn't a one off comment of "I feel like someone to be proud of!" as it feels like Millie has some secret insecurities that are just now surfacing from always being her husband's support. Like Millie I the last character I expected to feel plain or like invalidated and vulnerable. Shes always been so confident with herself.
I'm here for it though as it's a intresting dilemma. I just wish Moxxie felt more in character with his jealousy. Like his never said his prod of Millie before? 21:07 I think i can help with this, if you’d like! The potential answer is VERY indirect
Blitz is seeking comfort from Barbie instead of Stolas because he doesn’t know how to process his emotions/feelings and needs to just let them out in front of someone he trusts. If you look back, when he said “…He can get hurt?”, that was really the most emotion and genuine concern he had towards Stolas since he had sex with him and stole the book. And that amount was enough for Blitz to mentally consider that he even *had* those feelings. And now he doesn’t know what to do with them.
Of course, in true Blitz fashion, he doesn’t want to go to Stolas to confront these feelings cuz that’s *way* too many emotions to spill out over someone who he had always assumed to be having sex with him for business. He wants someone who’s somewhat easily accessible and has known him long enough to understand him, even though they may despise him so royally screwing up their life.
He needs his sister. He needs *Barbie*.

I'm gonna assume the reason Blitz is trying so desperately with his sister is probably related to Stolas getting hurt. It could also be what happened with Fizz at Ozzie's, having his fears thrust back in his face and to have Stolas confirm them. Even if it was on accident, he's likely just going around desperately trying to fix any and all relationships so he won't be alone. They have been stressing that more and more as season 2 goes on.
Getting into Barbie herself, her design is interesting and actually tells us alot about her. She has the same mark on her forehead Blitz, likely a family trait as I believe his mother had it too. The white marks on her arms and forehead aren't natural, she wasn't born with them. I'm guessing their tattoo's, likely a way to cut herself off from her family and sever any bonds she had with them. My guess is that whatever made her hate Blitz is likely the same thing that broke him and Fizz apart, as well as giving him his scars. Blitz is wearing their mothers necklace, there may have been accident and she could died. Barbie probably blames him for her death if that's true, which would make Fizz's hatred of him make sense as well if he was disfigured because that as well.

I do not think it was necessarily pulled out of nowhere. Mosco even pulls up the point on how Millie has always been supportive. The short end of it is that Moxxie was planning to be a detective looking for clues and Millie was going to let him do that while she could have a bit of fun, since she did not want to interfere with his investigation. I mean she always allow the others to indulge in their shenanigans, so on a case like this where the stakes are really low, it makes sense she would feel okay with just relaxing a bit.

    • @KingVasuki
      @KingVasuki 9 месяцев назад

@@numbernumber25 how... how is that related to what @SwordTune said? Millie *has* always been supportive, she *has* always allowed others to indulge in their shenanigans, but it never seems as if she's bothered by it. I never got the feeling that she feels "ignored" or that others are "ashamed" of her, that's the contrived part, not the premise: the premise is just stupid, but that's par for the course, for this show.

    • @numbernumber25
      @numbernumber25 9 месяцев назад

@@KingVasuki The point was simple. People could be the best and most supportive friends together, but even the most supportive person needs a break to relax.
It is not because she is ashamed or ignored, it is just that at some point the person wants to have their own thing to have fun with.
It is sort of like working at a coffee shop with the nicest and supportive co-workers. Due to one person being so nice and helpful, that person ends up always getting asked to lend a hand. Then one day the manager allows another employee, one of the nice employee's co-workers, to handle morning shift.
Nice employee offers to keep their same roles as the day before, but co-worker proceeds to make a "perfect plan" for working quickly. So co-worker focuses on making iced drinks while nice employee works on serving some few hot coffees with whipped cream art, co-worker starts fumbling, people start noticing more on the hot coffee whipped cream art designs leading to more people wanting to get those.
Then nice employee comes to idea to swap drink roles bc they know co-worker is pasionate and good at whipped cream art. But bc nice employee is faster overall and co-worker is not as skilled as nice employee at whipped cream art, people start doubting on co-workers ability after the art that co-worker makes on the first few coffees is just not as good, with customers starting to complain.
After that co-worker gets frustrated over just not being able to get the praise they desire, simply bc there is someone better than them and that their "perfect plan" keeps getting interfered with by the nice employee.

The most that I got out of the episode was that Millie is obviously tired of giving and giving to Moxxie emotionally, but not necessarily getting any back. Yes, he says she's an amazing killer and such but it's obvious to me that Millie is kind of tired of just being known as "the amazing killer". She seems to want to be known for more and is seeking that support and validation from her husband who she's kind of in the shadow of, in a way. She obviously has more to give to the world than just killing and being Moxxie's wife. She's ready or perhaps i should say more than ready to break out of that shell. I'm all for seeing where her development goes from hear.
Also, I noticed that she says to Moxxie that it's nice to be cheer for for once and I kind of wonder if that's some slight insight into her family life. I have a theory about it, to be honest.

    1. Even though it all works out in the end, I am bitter that Millie FINALLY got a spotlight episode and half of it is Moxxie, her own husband, treating her like garbage.
    2. Between the daddy issues and his terrible execution of a work-life balance, it's no surprise that Moxxie's need for validation can push him into acting like a "nice guy" petty about getting the attention he thinks he deserves. If Millie hadn't spoken up, he might've rivaled Blitzo when it comes to burning bridges.
    3. My guess is now that Blitzo's relationship with Stolas is in proper shambles (from his perspective, anyway), he was desperate to mend whatever relationship he had left with his immediate family. Blitzo is alone, and he's running out of people to blame and hate for the love HE broke.

I think Vizie's team struggles with a few things in writing, and thia episode happened to put all their flaws on display. I've noticed a tendency to use B-plots to fill episode times and distract from main character arcs, leaving the story in the same place as when the episode started. They lack confidence in exploring and developing the plots to the next stage, which will eventually make the resolution feel rushed because there will be a lack of middle progression.
Second big weakness is their dialogue writing. Unsurprisingly, character conflicts are introduced and resolved through communication, which is usually spoken dialogue. We get hints of Biltzø's relationship with his sister, but with so much time wasted on the camp, Viziepop is effectively running away from the opportunity to have meaningful dialogue with the new character.
I think part of the issue is the time between each episode, the writing team may feel like they have to make each episode self-contained, so we get a lot of filler to pad it out.

Given that the chicks that Mox was talking to there at the start were cringing about as hard as _all of us_ were, it's pretty obvious that, yes, his performance _is_ supposed to be painful to watch... doesn't change the fact that it _was_ painful to watch tho... That aside, I'm glad we got a Millie-centric episode for once, and that we got to see that M&M's relationship isn't _all_ flowers and sinshine.
As for "why go after your sister?" Blitzo has _a lot_ of relationship issues. Not just with Stolas, but with, well, everyone he wants to get close to but keeps pushing away for one reason or another. This episode merely introduced yet another messed up relationship in his life. And much like how the ins-and-outs of his relationship with Stolas has been steadily revealed to us, I'm guessing his relationship with Barb is also going to get progressively revealed to us... and I don't expect it to be pretty...

I feel like blitz is going after his sister, because in season one episode eight after Ozzies he was worried about having no one who cares for him and dying alone, and then just lasted episode Stolas, who he always sort of seemed to see as untouchable just got really badly hurt so I feel like he’s panicking and trying to grab for anyone who might care and more importantly be tied to him in a way that will make them stay
