I am watching from Canada. Thank you so much for took the time to make these tutorials. God bless you!
This is hands down the best step by step guide for setting up the GA4 account! Thank you!
Going to use this for staff training video.
Appreciate all the value you provide on your channel!
Great video! Explained in simple terms and easy to follow.
Thanks for the new video! I’m looking forward to seeing what other content you post! Always good to learn as much as you can!
Thank you so much for this AWESOME tutorial and overview!!!

Awesome! That’s great to hear, and thanks for watching.
The best video for understanding GA4 as a total GA4-noob like me. 😅
Thank you so much for this work!

You’re welcome!

Thanks for posting. The other videos I found on this didn't cover the latest version of Google Analytics.
very well explained for newbies #lovesdata thanks
Damn loved this video so much, learned so much within an hour compared to that soul sucking skilshop course
Very nice tutorial. Amazing how complex this has become over the years. It is like flying the space shuttle. Overkill for most of us commoners...
Great Video.
Nice. I’m looking to pass the analytics certification. Will the content on this video cover all aspects of the required to attempt the certification
Thanks for this, where can I see the utm link data in the explore reports?
I watched this whole tutorial - appreciate it! I already found some Events that had moved over from Universal (these were previously Goals where I tracked opt-in conversion rates and sales/thank you page views), but I made sure they were working OK by going to Admin - Events (+ made sure they were marked as Key Events).
You shared the process to create Funnel Visualization Reports through EXPLORE - where I can set up the same parameters. How are these two methods different if I want to track the same things?
And most important (I've done a lot of searching on this), how can I track the CONVERSION RATE for these that I've set up. Is there a new term for that? So frustrating :( Thanks again for this resource.
What’s the difference between the good ads overview and the google analytics are they connect ?
@21:38 Can I add more than 2 dimensions to the report?
I love your videos and they have helped me so much as I work on client accounts! I do have a question - I have a client that recently launched a new website with a new domain. They carried over their GTM with their Google Tag in it, so we are still tracking traffic just fine, but the Data Stream setup didn't change. The Stream URL is still the old domain. Should that be updated? What would it solve or what problems could it create if that was updated? Thank you!
Hey Benjamin,
I am running a RUclips Campaign in Dv360 and my client is looking to improve the user metric in session/ user reprt.
Now, im unaware of what the user in ga4 would be equivalent to in dv360 to help them improve.
Could you guide me
11:23 - who the hell is buying Google hats and T-shirts!! hahaha (great tutorial though Benjamin 👍)
At 6.23 mins you have shown "Choose your business objectives" and you have selected "Get baseline reports" . I cannot find this screen in my GA4 account
You are a lifesaver! Thank you so much for this great tutorial! I have one question: If my website exists since one year but I'm only using Analytics now, can I still see the analytics from the past year? I'm an analytics beginner, sorry if this a stupid question :)
Glad you like it! Google Analytics only collects data once you install the tracking code. So it won’t include any historical data before this.
@@LovesDatathank you so much for your answer!
The link from the email to download page of the glossary does not work.
Excellent video - However, I don't see the "Conversions" below Data display
Conversions are now ‘Key Events’. I cover this here: ruclips.net/video/j747Xb-ik5A/видео.html
Thanks! How can I see the used keywords to find my website?
You will need to link Google Search Console to see organic keywords.
This is such valuable information. How long did it take you to learn all of this?🙆
Dude why are you so happy
Do You have a tutorial to get gclid?
Not currently, but I’ll add it to my list of requested topics.
we will want one playlist there learning basic to advance
Why are we choosing Google tag instead of Google analytics in Google tag manager tag type?
You will find selecting ‘Google Analytics’ gives you the same Google Tag.
I have a question. If I have a personal website where I don’t plan on receiving money, can I still use Google analytics? I don’t have a licensed business and I just want to use Google Analytics for a personal project. Would I be able to use Google Analytics despite not having a business?
I use it on my personal site.
@@LovesDataThank you for your response. I heard from a friend that Google Ads updated to needing registered companies. I got scared that Google Analytics would do the same.
That's unfortunately not work for me, nothing appears in debug view..
If nothing appears in the DebugView, a different Measurement ID is implemented on the website or there’s an issue with the implementation.
@@LovesData I found the issue. I had a plug in for cookies, and they installed the gtm tag .. so because the gtm tag was installed twice, it didn't work properly
is google signal disabled now?
For reporting identities, yes, but it’s still used for advertising features and demographic reporting.
thanks mate@@LovesData
Google must have updated again... smh...
I'm missing so many of the things you're showing in this video. My analytics page is missing A LOT of those options.
There is no "Life Cycle" section what so ever for example.
It hasn't been updated (yet). I mention this at the start of the video. The selection you make when you create the property controls which preconfigured reports are available. To adjust this you can use the 'Library' option which is on the bottom left corner after you select 'Reports'. And I touch on the 'Library' option in this video: ruclips.net/video/sLT_URKPwMw/видео.html
I love these videos - but who says "d-a-r-t-a" ? There is no "R" sound in data.
Ha! This one’s for you: ruclips.net/video/X5C9MvBRzIw/видео.html
I am learning afresh 😢
Thanks for the video. Here are some other issues I'm struggling with - just to give an idea for the next video(s)
1. Facebook campaigns - how do you track them in GA4? All I see is "social" but I have let's say 3 campaigns on Meta. There is this option to create a custom url - how to see that url in GA4?
2. Page optimisation tips - directly related to GA4. Here I'm struggling with 2 things. First, is the simple "add Event Tracking Code to Phone Number Link?" I still don't understand is it google tag and then something in analytics or how do I track how many people clicked on the "phone button" on the website? Second, how to track individual pages - I have, let's say 10 landing pages on the website - I need data for all 10. So, here you go, these are examples of pain points connected to GA4 after it's been set up. Cheers!
