I'm using Grid infrastucture in this video tutorial, so the listener will be as a service and it will be managed on grid infrastucture check this 37:14 see the services carefully listener allready created as a service no need to create new one. thanks for your question.

You need to consider the prerequisites to be checked before start the installation, the prerequisites should be fulfilled before start the installation, note that also you will relay on the logs that generated during the installation to see if there is any errors or any wrong with your installation, the silent mode installation need more time, but once you become expert of it, it will add more power to you as a DBA

@@amedalejandrocuevanunez560 are you using direct access to oracle linux from vmware if yes access using oracle user you will be able to run this command, if you are using ssh, then access using oracle or grid directly without switching the user. let me know if the issue still
It might be the udev rules that you created, could you please share your udev rules so I can check if its correct or not. note that you need to add the uuid of your disks which will be diff than mine, and please to check my github account git.io/JRGSv for more details.
@@dschoene57 I'm not using oracle asmlib, I'm using linux udev to initialize the disks on OS, so the linux kernel will handle the initialization of the disks .

you need first to do the export and grant xhost permission from the sudo or root user then do it again from oracle user or grid user.

@@theoife7042 Are using VMWare or Vbox?, if vmware # Add to the vmx file for the VM
(disk.EnableUUID = "TRUE") and reboot your VM
/dev/oracleasm doesn't exist until you've initialized oracleasm. He forgot to mention installation and configuration of oracleasm completely.
