May Allah bless you enormously I've been wearing the niqab for quite a few years now, and was feeling slightly low in morale about it recently, a lot of people I've seen have taken it off and I've just been thinking maybe it's restricting me career-wise and for marriage prospects, but to see you've recently put it on gives me strength, and your 3rd reason was definitely beautiful,
really appreciated this video, looking forward to the next one InshaAllah!

Assalam Ualeikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh . This is my version why I dressed niqab) (in short way - I don't know, I just love it))))I'm wearing Niqab sense I was 11 years old. Before I put on a niqab, I was just immersed in the dream of wearing this kind of clothes. And one fine day my mother offered me to buy a niqab, although I wanted to wear it, but I was still worried (I was only 9))) and the growth was very small) At 11 years old ( I think it was February) we were going to go for a walk With my mother and stepfather ... And then my mother said the words - "Daughter can you try to wear NIQAB?". And I agreed. If you saw how I jumped from happiness)))))Since this time I never took it off)))Now I'm 12 and you can see only my eyes, yes I want close my eyes, and my mum agreed, imagine)

I'm always interested in learning about other people and their cultures other religions. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay area and it is a huge Melting Pot. People from all walks of life all different religions languages culture is excetera. And I really appreciate you making this video because I grew up around a lot of Muslim people and there was a mosque in the city they lived in growing up. So you would hear the call to prayer on a regular basis and I always wondered what the reasoning behind Islamic women wearing the hijab and even more than the niqab and why they personally wear it Beyond just modesty. So thank you so much for expressing your feelings and bringing light to your reasoning behind it and expressing yourself. Because now I can think of it in a different way and thank you for sharing a piece of yourself sister

After years of putting myself out there even just wearing it on social media it is freeing. It is beautiful. It makes me feel really good. But I don’t feel I’m ready to wear it. I wish non-Muslimah could wear this. I have dressed modestly, abaya and hijab for over a decade now. I feel when praying that I am being led to wear the niqab. It's a strong feeling. Maybe one day I 'll figure it out. Any advice would be wonderful.

There might be plenty of personal reasons when you think of it. Bear with me I'll try to build a case here. Feedback is welcomed.
One of the most widespread fears or phobias is fear of the stage. Some people get paralyzed by it. Socially anxious people feel like their in the stage all the time in social encounters. Interesting thing to notice, that social anxious people don't feel it with the same intensity when interacting with people one v one. Interestingly enough one of very effective torture methods is stripping person naked in front of group of people.
Turns out what we as social beings are very sensitive to judgement of other people. And we do feel very vulnerable to social 'sanctions'. Like disapproving look, comments or at worst condemnation. Now being stripped naked feels like one has no barrier, mechanism of defense if you will, against that. And we do in fact feel very vulnerable as result of that. Hence the torture method.
Now I'm not trying to say that speaker has fear of stage. Probably to the contrary, given her biography. But as humans we all have that social status meter to track the approving / disapproving signals of the group we operate in. So it's not hard to understand why someone might feel better by wearing additional clothing. Or which sets up a buffer zone if you will.
However, interactions are not one way street. It takes two or more. For interaction to be successful both sides needs to exchange information. And while we do have verbal language, a lot, up to 80% of information we exchange comes from facial expressions and body language. And that's a huge con one should be able to recognize. If you give out limited information towards other people, those people may come not as trusty towards you. And you might need to spend more time articulating to make up for it, what other people covey through visual information.
For example, people don't buy things from people they don't trust. Given the opportunity I will probably buy same item from person who is more forthcoming, than one who is not. Or I may ask to remove the niqab in some huge deals (like buying a used vehicle from you) to show your face and compare it to ID, to make sure I'm not being schemed (in contrary just asking for ID otherwise). And if for some weird reason photo in ID is covered, when I'm not going to buy anything from you at all.
And it has nothing to do with hatred or intolerance as some people like to scapegoat around this. It's just matter of exchange of important information necessary to build trust between the sides. I recognize one's freedom to wear whatever garment one wants. But please recognize my agency and decision based on information I'm let on to know.
So that would be all. There are pros there are cons. I could probably extend more, but I guess the post is already too long anyone to keep their attention.
