I find this mode repetitive. Outside of a few cutscenes recycled from universe mode. You are mainly staring at static characters talking, yet their mouths moving freely like a badly dubbed movie. When you are not seeing that, Your character is just staring at his phone as he reads the storyline in text form between them and their opponent.
It got very old, very quickly for me and i only did the stories where the rewards were physical characters or custom gear.
It was a slog to get through in my opinion.
