_The physics of this car game is one of the most impressive on the Playstation 2 - It is incredible how EA stood out in this area in such a remote era - In my opinion, this game was the best car game on Playstation 2, only some elements were missing - like: Open world - Downhill mode ie races without going around and the main one is Nitro - I think that the lack of nitro was one of the worst blunders at EA Games - Because it is a lively annoyance when the car hits another and you can't to get off the ground or accelerated - But this gameplay Guy really didn't need any of that - Thank you very much_
I've always played this on the pc. It's been years and I'm playing on the PS2 and I'm not liking the M5 because the handling in my opinion is terrible.
If you're not using Extreme it tends to kinda stick to grip and thus understeer most of the time. Extreme gives a lot more control over the car especially when paired with the (hand)brake.
