    With your sink try using the hot water before you add the crystals the hot water will loosen any grease and debris and then add the crystals and if you can leave for a few hours before you rince away with more hot water then of corse youl get better results.x

    When cleaning the toilet with a brush, don’t put the wet brush back in the holder to drip and sit in a puddle, balance the brush on the rim and close the seat over it to keep it in place. The water will drain back into the toilet and then you put the dry brush back into the holder. Much more hygienic.

    Lovely video fellow mum.
    On an off note,Spoiler alert for those using vinegar after soda, apologies in advance.
    Using vinegar with soda crystals actually neutralises the cleaning action of both as one is an acid and the other alkali.
    The foam and bubbling may appear dramatic and give an impression of additional cleaning but you may be wasting your money though.

    you can use it to clean stained coffee/teacups too. put a table spoon of the crystals in the cup top up with boiling water ,leave over night,then just rinse in the morning , use a bottle brush too if you have one.

    Use white vinegar down plugs after the soda crystals, the chemical reaction creates a foaming agitating compound which removes debris easier, then pour in a capful of zoflora for a nice smell and antibacterial action

      Another way to do this is with bicarbonate of soda with citric acid. Pack the slow draining plug hole with the powders then pour down some boiled water and you get an excellent fizz that dislodges the debris. Add some nice essential oils to get a nice scent boost too, lemongrass is lovely (and cheap online). I got this one from Kim and Aggie years ago and after seeing them do it became almost obsessed with finding drains to do it on lol.

      @@sophiahamilton1262 use Soda Crystals and hot water first as that's what dissolves grease. The 'agitation' method can also be useful, but is best performed AFTER Soda Crystals and hot water.

    Limescale is alkaline and so are soda crystals so as far as I understand it you need something like vinegar or citric acid for limescale.

      Hi, I'm no expert but I put soda crystals in the detergent compartment of my washing machine with every wash :)

    • @DriPak
      @DriPak 3 года назад

      Soda Crystals soften water and boost the power of the laundry detergent. It can go in the drawer or the drum. You can mix it with powder, but obviously if you use it with liquid detergent it will clump. We'd recommend putting liquid in the drum and Soda Crystals in the drawer.

      I heard a tip for this. After use, rinse the blender, add wash soap and water and blend for a few seconds. This helps remove residue from nooks and crannies in the blender. Once done, rinse as normal.

    If we are promoting using soda crystals as a helpful way to carry out kitchen cleaning which helps save the environment, then equally we should be careful not to wash away the oily deposits from an oven pan down the kitchen sink ! This defeats the purpose, surely !
