Linstead is a Town in St Catherine. Located 12/ml 19 km.. NNW of Spanish Town. There's a Jamaican folk song that was done in 1952 based on the famous Linstead Market.(Carry me Ackee go a Linstead Market. not a quatee wut sell) In 1991 its population was 14, 144. That's a long time ago..

As soon as the video opened, I recognized a guy that comes by my dad’s house when I’m in Linstead right behind the market. I was born in America, but my dad is from there and I’ve been going since I was a really small child. Will go again within the next 6 months. It’s my second home and I love it so much. Wow never been to linstead such a lively active and vibrant town so developed with a variety of different businesses. Must be the 3rd largest town in jamaica after mandeville and Spanish town.
It's really a busy and booming town so much going on
I really enjoyed the video and the streets look a lot cleaner than the last time I saw it several years ago. People are people, the same every where. 30yrs ago I visited Linstead Market, more pple now and food vendors. I would just walk and eat all those delicious food and dont cook 😃 Always I love the pple, reason Coronation Market was my favourite. Thanks for great video and showcasing religious singing man. Love Lady Bling hand-kerchiefs 👍♥️😂

It’s has been many years since I left that part of the world, I lived in Linstead for many years, the town has changed a lot, it has changed for the worst, the streets looks filthy, that vendor you asked for you to see what he had in the pot was not too friendly, his face looks like mr Scrooge.

I always wonder how much trouble it is to transport their goods to and from the market everyday.🤔
Some of them are lucky enough to have their own vehicles while some might have to charter vehicles or come with a market truck. I'm sure it must be extremely hectic for the ones without their own vehicles
