So far, Shadow is pretty alright. He is on point with his mission, he only mocks and looks down upon the androids, and he warns everyone to flee when he suspects a charged explosion, which shows that he cares for his allies.
@@BlueBlur_37 When he says “It’s too much” at 16:04. It’s not direct but the way my mind voiced it, he was telling that to Rouge in hopes that she’d run.
It's new for IDW Shadow, considering that for all intents and purposes he didn't have to help rescue Rouge back in Issue 34. He could've just pulled the cloth that was obscuring the caged Chao and left, but he didn't. He assisted in her rescue despite his blinding pride. He cared, but he wouldn't just admit it. Now he's more... _upfront_ about it, potentially as a result of either offscreen therapy (incredibly unlikely, but it'd be funny since he was absent for so many issue), or him taking into account the common factor of each instance where he got defeated prior to this battle had him being on his own and being careless. Now he's being more careful and sticking to Rouge and Omega, and with the aforementioned line that that Hydro-Shark focused on taken into account, this characterization is more in-line with the personality defined by Sonic Forces, where he at the very least expresses concern for Omega's safety when he goes missing in Episode Shadow. If this keeps up, it'll certainly be more bearable than the "surface-level Saiyan Saga Vegeta" wannabe characterization he had before.
What an issue! I'm worried about Shadow and Omega, but like Sonic said, they're tough. You'll get your boys back, Rouge. Glad Tangle was there to support Whisper when she saw the androids, and glad she didn't have to see it for long. I know Tangle can get the information to Sonic and the others, and they'll find a way to save Whisper and Lanolin.
i assume the way to bring wisper and Lanolin back is though not letting these machines loss because they are also holding the atoms of those they destroy
I love the Chaos Control scene and how it was drawn. The little signs of the corrupted energy is a nice touch. Everyone's reactions mainly Sonic's is very funny as well 15:17 Also something I just noticed. Is this the first time Blaze has ever seen a Chaos Control in works? Besides 06 of course. I wonder if she's just asking herself in her head if she could do the same thing with the Sol Emeralds
i think she is just so shook at shadows power, like two pages earlier her blast did nothing and she was surprised and now shadow went crazy and she is just like wow, since shes never seen him fight and with chaos energy shadow is the strongest hero
@@dantemitsoyu977 your correct about that but it's not just that shadow never fully shown of his power before hand shadow was not even using what power he really has now if you look at sonic even sonic couldn't hit those things with his powerful skill set which covers saying shadow is officially more powerful then anyone else not even silver was able to help out a lot with his skill set even he struggled and he has telekinesis
@@ashleighreid2516 yeah I agree but the other heroes aren’t surprised cause they know what shadow can do. Sonic>= base shadow>silver But yes shadow without inhibitor rings or with chaos energy is the strongest hero easily
@@dantemitsoyu977 not all silver doesn't fully know sonic has a rough idea blaze doesn't know for sure her face says it all and sonic even shows jealousy of shadows power there is more powers shadow can do that others haven't seen like for an example when shadow is in superform he hasn't used chaos blast yet for an example and that's one skill out of others the other characters haven't witnessed they didn't even know shadow could use fake chaos emeralds they only knew sonic could they know sonics skill set and silver was giving a face that look like he was admiring shadows kind of power. But I do agree about him being the best powerful hero out of all of them and oml have you seen in the comic with that one big blow of overheated chaos energy within his body from the fake one almost completely wrecked eggmans new city compared to everyone else's failed attampt so it's going to be interesting how tails is going to come up a plan to match shadows power they should use shadow to do another powerful hit like that with out his inhibitors this time and boom its destroyed that's how they can easily win
You guys don't get it. shadow is basically sonic with drugs, whereas sonic is more raw and natural with his speed power than shadow. Sonic has raw speed and stylish ball physics to match. He can obtain and utilize more and more powerups from his adventures with *endless possibilities*. You know like the purple orb thingy that he used to BEAT SHADOW in generations. Despite Shadow having his own source of power within him and being able to perform chaos techniques even without an emerald, they're not as raw as sonic's pure speed skills and he could barely control the power of chaos with his man made body. Hence why he wears inhibitor rings, to restrain his max power from draining him down or wearing him out. He may also needs to require a more natural source of chaos energy from chaos emeralds and chaos drives from machines and few other energy from raw lifeforms like monsters, aliens, animals, maybe even people. Raw lifeforms like the flickies were used to power eggman's robots and choas drives are used to power machines from GUN. Sonic has that same raw energy like the flickies and he provides that raw energy to the world with his speed and good deeds. Overall, Sonic and Shadow should atleast at the same level of power. Nothing changes. (except writing I guess) Btw, p-06 silver release is out. You guys should go check out what silver can really do because strong characters like silver is/are typically nerfed in idw just to fit the narrative. Heck, rough and tumble are just starter level goons that sonic and knuckles could have taken out easily with no issue at all. And silver could have bodied anyone that has no proper way of dealing with a psychic user. Yet idw just greatly minimized the more powerful use of psychokinesis without any means for foes and obstacles to use some reasonable solution to deal with psychic users like silver.
I REALLY like how everyone is being used in this arc effectively to their best aspects. Plus how they use their abilities and situation to adapt to this latest threat. Not to mention how each group's efforts helped the other either directly or indirectly. This pacing just flows naturally. With Sonic's group, to Team Dark, and to the Diamond Cutters. Speaking of which, I really want to know what they saw that caused Whisper to almost break down again. D-did Eggman display her former comrades as stuffed "trophies" or something?
Whenever they wrote shadow’s character completely like how he was in sonic 06 I can rest peacefully This issue made me more hopeful to look forward to what they’ll do in depicting his character
I think the way the diamond cutters see Eggmans face which was covered in shadow is the same way everyone who isn't the main protagonists or antagonists see Eggman
12:35 Sonic "You got some cousins you never told us about or something?" Shadow "Please. These cheap copies don't deserve to wear my face." Just perfect 👌😂😂😂
Really love the art style of this one. Definitely some great artwork done in these panels. Poor Blaze tho. She looks more and more stressed and having an internal panic attack the further you read and look at her facial expressions. However some of the action sequences look kinda disjointed. Tails even says the androids are moving too fast and yet they look like they're moving at a slow, shambling, almost zombie-like pace. And at 11:48 while the artist (or editor) mirrored the panel to make it look like Blaze grabbed 2 people, they also forgot to edit out Amy's gold ringlet since at 12:19 she's seen actually throwing both Amy AND Sonic. There's still great action but idk, some of these panels felt off. Overall I still love the facial expressions and body language of the characters and some of the more rougher lines they used for Whisper when she was having her PTSD induced breakdown. The story is about what I expected just a whole lot of fighting. Wasn't expecting poor Tangle to be all alone for the next issue tho. And Lanolin is just having an even worse day for her first mission. Can't wait for the next issue to see how all this is solved.
the Diamond cutters really cant catch a break from being captured, now with Tangle at least as the last one standing and on the run. Really hope that girls get some payback, because this arc had them with the short end of the stick
I hope Eggman will get his karma. Like, being a slave under someone else's foot and finally seeing how monsterous he was for all those years. And would try to atone for it.
Let Amy get a crack at him first for kicking her in the head and getting her infected in the Metal Virus Saga. ONE good hammer swing landed straight on his gut or his noggin, that's all I'm asking.
Sonic physically overpowers Amy primarily due to his greater overall strength and agility. Here’s how Sonic's physical attributes give him the edge over Amy: 1. Raw Strength: While Amy is strong, especially with her Piko Piko Hammer, Sonic’s natural strength is higher. He’s able to perform feats like breaking through walls, destroying robots, and pushing through powerful enemies, all while maintaining his speed. Amy is more specialized in her hammer techniques, but Sonic’s physical strength in combat situations gives him an edge in raw power. 2. Speed-Enhanced Power: Sonic’s speed allows him to build momentum, which he translates into powerful physical strikes. Even without his full speed, his running, spin attacks, and homing attacks generate significant force, often overpowering opponents through a combination of strength and momentum. Amy lacks this speed, making her attacks slower and less impactful in comparison. 3. Combat Prowess: Sonic’s vast experience in fighting a wide range of powerful foes like Dr. Eggman’s robots and other tough enemies allows him to better leverage his strength in combat. His punches, kicks, and spin-based attacks pack more force due to his ability to channel speed and strength in tandem. In short, Sonic’s natural physical strength, combined with his speed and combat skills, makes him able to overpower Amy, even though she’s no slouch with her hammer. His combination of agility and strength simply outclasses her more singular reliance on weapon-based power.
I liked when Team Dark also joined the team. Amy got so jealous when Rouge started flirting, she even angrily pulled her away from her. Eggman was interesting to see again as Android Shadow created duplicates using fake Emeralds to keep the 3 teams busy. Poor Whisper faced trauma again, but Tangle calmed her down, unfortunately Tangle was left alone in the end as Whisper was trapped by one of Eggman's structures, Lanolin fell out. I hope that Tangle will find a solution to the problem as soon as possible so that Lanolin and Whisper can be free again.
Sonic & crew take on Shadow Androids, Shadow uses Chaos Control taking down Shadow Androids, but something happened to Shadow, Whisper & Lanolin trapped yet again, Tangle all alone, not looking good in Urban Warfare. Still loved the Urban Warfare arc.
12:34 Shadow: "PLEASE. THESE CHEAP COPIES DON'T DESERVE TO WEAR MY FACE." Me: "Wear your face- Hahaha! 🤣 19:22 Also, poor Cubot just wanted to use candles. Innocent, crimeless, little candles. 😂 3:34 Omega: "THE MORE EGGMAN CONCENTRATES HIS FORCES, THE MORE I CAN DESTROY." Me: "Of course Omega, you just want to destroy eggman's robots. N-not including yourself, obviously! 😄
@@valentinkambushev4968 Well, there are actually a number of reasons it wouldn't have happened again, but Shadow pretty much summed them all up in that one moment.
To be fair, with his inhibitor rings off, we only saw him use a full powered Chaos Blast and ran through enemies (Shadow’s ending at the end of 06). If Shadow can take on Shadow Androids with his inhibitors on, *lord have mercy*
So does this imply that Sonic is interested in revisiting chaos control? I mean he was the first to utilize chaos control while using a fake chaos emerald.
Eggman steps aside and presents the octogonal traps that Lanolin and Whisper are stuck inside. Sonic stares at them, angry and dark. His friends are mere hours away from being destroyed. Even if he gets to Tails and has them restored in time, he knows Eggman will just go off scot free again, defeated and preparing for his next evil plan. But Sonic won't let that happen. Not this time or any time. He has been infected with the Metal Virus, sent flying through a vicious dimension, nearly shot into space and now...his friends, the last of the Diamond Cutters and one of the Restoration's closest allies, are in serious danger. Sonic has had enough. He's gonna put an end to it once and for all. And he's not gonna hold back.
Eggman said something about scattering their atoms across the universe but from what it looks like they are currently trapped in these convex polyhedrons.
10:55-10:58 let’s go silver 20:30uh oh 😰 always loved eggman and that explosion man I was not expecting that hope shadow and omega are ok same goes for tangle overall this comic was awesome can’t wait for the next one 🥰🤩❤️
The way Shadow handled those androids shows he powerful he really is. I think Shadow could’ve beaten Surge if he were around the last arc. And Eggman, boy that man don’t even play around!
Shadow here just rocks when fighting those Shadow Androids. And I agree with what you said about Shadow handled those Shadow Androids and how powerful he Is 👍
He's always been that powerful and it's not even the best he can do, the writers just somehow nerfed him cause he doesn't get to show more of his power when he gets the stage but when he does we are all surprise at what he can really do
@@hydrocityshark Err... no, I was just making a comparison. Also, only his original body was destroyed; his mind survived and was transferred to a new body.
I'll be honest, I just love this issue. *Warning Spoilers* The duo Adam Bryce Thomas and Matt Herms for the art make everything so gorgeous. The facial expression are really good and we see what the characters thinking and every scene are really effective. The action are really cool and yeah, when Shadow use the chaos control or lose the control because there's a lot of chaos energy, it was just insane (and give me a DBZ's vibes). For what happened, the Android Shadow are a good surprise. I like their design, they are better than in Shadow The Hedgehog. BUT I have to complain on 1 things: first Tails talked about them that they're fast but they don't seems to be. Shadow for me was good and not really awful like the previous arc. Maybe a bit to harsh against Sonic at the begining but it's maybe just me. And like I said previously, he was really badass and it's not every time I think he is. Tails, Blaze, Amy, Omega, Sonic and Sylver were fun to watch. Not too much to say... Lanolin is good to watch and I love the dynamic she have with Tangle and Whisper. Especially with Tangle when she sais her to get back because she was make fun with Metal Sonic. And the fact that she push Tangle to save her at the end was cool. Whisper have not much of scene but was really impactfull. Like when she saw the Android Shadow and dark in the fear or when she noticed she was spotted by Eggman and just try to kill him ._. And Tangle, to be honest at the begining of the arc I didn't really like her because of her attitude toward Whisper. But in this issue, OMG. When she saw the Android Shadow, she immediately take care of Whisper and reassure her and try to save her when she was warp out. Yeah, it was really a good issue and I've enjoyed every seconds. Hype for the next issue. (Sorry for my english, I tried my best X))
WOW, I’ve never thought Shadow can created a big blast in this city, those crystals energy have too much power. I hope Shadow is okay and Omega. The Diamond cutters are trapped, except Tangle, she’s all alone for now. I hope she could find the others and ask them for help.
they might not do it but since this city is full of fake choas emeralds + Sonic might see his friends hurt. THE PERFECT WAY TO BRING DARK SONIC BACK 😭😭😭
15:20 I'm honestly hoping this is foreshadowing Sonic to eventually use chaos control type moves in the future cause I've been wanting him to do so for a very long time.
@@bluephoenix_z3364 there's no way your asking this with a straight face, shadows main skill is being superior to sonic. And moreso with chaos abilities, this is shadows redemption arc. Sonic caused this mess. It's about time shadow actually has a roll, and sonic learns his lesson, or would you rather one if not all of his friends be killed, as he learns his lesson the hard way?
"Um, Thanks, Sur--", Sonic attempts to say. "Just take your friends...and get out of here. Now.", Surge ordered. Sonic, feeling terrible about what he almost did, takes the dimensional-spacial traps holding Whisper and Lanolin...and walks out. He glances at Surge again. "Hey, Surge.", Sonic said. "What?", Surge sternly answered. "Do me a favor and get Eggman out of here, then level this place, please?", Sonic politely asked. "Sure. Whatev.", said Surge. Sonic, smiling at her proudly, runs out of the tower to take the cages to Tails so that he can get Whisper and Lanolin out.
I think Sonic was about to say "Its the principle of the matter" and if it is, that might be a reference to a sprite comic from the old Mystical Forest Zone site. I believe the comic was called "Insonicnia" or something of that sort.
Metal Sonic flew after him, but Sonic grabbed Metal by the throat in a death grip. Full of rage and fury, Sonic put his hands on the sides of Metal's head. He effortlessly and furiously pushes on Metal. Metal's optical sensors crack, and the shielding on his head gets wedged. Sparks fly from Metal as Sonic crushes Metal's head like a giant soda can, deactivating him. Eggman yelps in horror. As Metal's lifeless body falls to the ground, Sonic's cold, raging stare turns its attention toward Eggman, who is horrified at what Sonic has done...even more so at what Sonic is gonna do next.
I like that silver appears with both blaze and amy by his side. That's an 06 team right there that I appreciate. And I think those should be the only times when blaze were to team up with silver. Because having only blaze and silver as a team regardless on who the third member is just doesn't do well for me. I only accepted their team up in 06 because I take it more as a one time thing for blaze to be a supportive companion that silver needed at the time. And also because silver's team in 06 is more like a team of magicians. Which is pretty neat. Though I don't like how blaze is being treated like a generic fire user rather than using her close range fire moves from the games. And I'm uncomfortable with sonic envying shadow's chaos stuff thinking that maybe he should try it out for himself. Sonic did perform chaos control once but he can use other powerups that could utilize better than using chaos techniques. And if sonic does use chaos techniques, I would prefer those techniques to be more unique to sonic being akin to speed, wind and nature. Idk. The IDW sonic series has things that just doesn't work for me.
Blaze doesn't do her close range moves and her base form fire abilities are overblown constantly yet her super form was terribly nerfed when it appeared, shadow doesn't do his long range moves and have them reframed as close range, and sonic doesn't do anything particularly awesome to match shadow even though the book is named after him. Like the story acts like sonic is just another supporting character when he gotta do something awesome at least once each issue.
@@valentinkambushev4968 he’s doctor Eggman. 300 IQ mad scientist. It’s not wrong to think he plans for contingencies. Him standing there still as soon as he saw the three shows he already knew the wispon wouldn’t work. I think it’s very fitting.
@@bionx9098 I'm pretty sure it has less to do with being fitting and more to do with being irritating, given how much of a **stard Eggman is. Seriously, with everything he's done lately; some of us practically WANT him dead, despite knowing it will never happen.
@@bionx9098 thing is though is that Eggman has been a karma Houdini and never had his terrible deeds fall back on him like what would happen in Archie from time to time. Ever since he recovered from amnesia he's been practically untouchable or the plot will warp itself to keep him from facing justice even to the point of warping Sonic's ideals to suit Eggman's evil.
It just confuses me that Omega actually stayed as a character from the video games. I mean he is literally just a robot. Is he even conscious? So why do the characters even care about him? I won’t deny that him being the only one rocking miniguns spraying and prayin is really cool, but I just don’t see why he is even cared for like a real person. He’s just an Eggman robot that can easily be destroyed theoretically by a lot of the other characters
@@bionx9098 he's conscious, he seems to have formed his own consciousness though and it revolves around getting revenge on Eggman for locking him away and taking joy from destroying whatever Eggman creates He see himself as the Ultimate E series Robot and thinks all other Eggman creation are inferior, the way he sees it, he is the greatest thing Eggman ever created and as long as he can destroy whatever Eggman creates he proves himself right, he's not a super Deep character but his simplicity is really enjoyable, Rogue and Shadow seem to enjoy his company alot too
@@anamericangrizzlybear8315 Also, his crush on Blaze, for her display of destructive power, in Archie Comic's Treasure Team Tango was pretty hilarious. Who knows, with Ian continuing work on IDW, maybe it will be revisited?
Hmm, i think tails forgot to tell rouge's team about their plan to shut eggman's city down? I'm pretty sure that would be better than fighting endless waves of enemies. I bet aside from omega they wouldve agreed to team up then. But i guess shadow was taken out of the story as his chaos control unstable or not wouldve solved the plot quick. XD
That's pretty much the entire reason SEGA holds Shadow and Team Dark on such short leash: they are too competent and powerful and would solve the problem way too fast.
Sonic's punch was blocked and a shockwave of blue energy was sent spreading throughout Eggperial City. Sonic looks to see that the person who blocked his punch...was none other than Surge The Tenrec. She strains with effort as she holds Sonic's punch back. Silver sent an anonymous message to Surge, telling her to come and stop Sonic. Sonic breathes heavily as his fist is held clenched in Surge's hand. Surge does hate Sonic and does blame him for everything that's happened to her, but she doesn't want to see Sonic become as much of a monster as she or Eggman is. Because she would just be proving him right. And because Eggman is hers to destroy. Just not today. After Surge lets go of him, Sonic, coming to his senses and calming down, looks on in horror at what he's done, and how close he was to throwing away everything he was. Sonic glances at Surge. Though surprised that she stopped him from finishing Eggman, he's a bit grateful she did it.
"Err...Sonic?", Eggman asked with concern. "Are you...ok? You sound...a little angry." "Don't worry, Eggman. I am perfectly...fine", Sonic said, as he menacingly approaches him. "Wait. Sonic, w-what are you doing? No. Stay back. Please. I'm warning you.", Eggman pleaded in fear. Sonic isn't listening this time. He is going to make Eggman pay, and there's nothing that's gonna stop him. Eggman is scared. He's starting to think he's made a terrible mistake. A very terrible mistake. With nowhere to run, Eggman glanced at Metal Sonic and pointed at the real Sonic in a commanding manner "Don't just stand there. STOP HIM", Eggman commanded to Metal Sonic.
Meanwhile, in Eggperial City, Sonic, angry, bitter, vengeful and determined, races through the city, smashing through everything in it without breaking a sweat. He is focused on ensuring that nobody will be touched by Eggman's evil again, even if it means doing something he will regret for the rest of his life. Eggman, seeing Sonic, opens fire on the blue hedgehog, but Sonic viciously smashes through the defenses, and gets inside. He trashes all the badniks and makes his way to the main control room, where he bursts down the doors and faces Eggman with an extremely angry expression. Eggman greets Sonic in a taunting manner.
After escaping, Tangle found Sonic and his friends and told them what happened and that creating a bigger energy surge will destroy Eggperial City for good. However, when she reveals what happened to Whisper and Lanolin, a cold, dark, terrifying fury awakens inside Sonic. He is so shocked by this news, that it makes him feel that this time, Eggman's gone too far. It's bad enough that he paved a small section of the world with a mechanical metropolis that is destroying everything in sight. But when a new generation of Diamond Cutters has been almost ended before it could even begin, Sonic now knows it's a sign that Eggman has gone too far with this. Sonic tells Tangle that he will get Lanolin and Whisper back, and they will stop Eggperial City, but he will also make sure that Eggman doesn't hurt anything or anyone ever again. After speeding back into Eggperial City, Silver, realizing what Sonic meant by that, and how badly it could affect his future, flies off in the opposite direction to get something...something that will keep Sonic fram making a terrible mistake.
The latest issue of Sonic The Hedgehog just came out today with a horrific ending. Sonic, his friends and Team Dark have defeated the Badniks and the Shadow Androids, with Shadow using the fake emerald to defeat his repulsive replicas with Chaos Control. Real cool. Of course, he and Omega got buried under debris after Shadow unleashed a Chaos Overload and fake emerald pieces popped out of the ground, terraforming the heck out of Eggperial City...well, most of it. Sonic and his friends were relieved to have dealt with most of the crisis, but this situation is far from dealt with. Because the Diamond Cutters were watching everything through the other dimension. Eggman was upset about Shadow ruining his plans. But the power was soon restored, much to his delight. Whisper had a bit of a breakdown after seeing the vile machines that killed her friends, but Tangle helped her through it. Sadly, The new Diamond Cutters were in more trouble than they thought. Because the power outage caused them to be stuck between dimensions, meaning that while their physical forms have not been fully restored, they are no longer invisible, which means Eggman saw them. They almost got out after the power was cut, but Eggman made upgraded versions, which would trap all three inside and destroy them...forever. The traps caught and caged Whisper and Lanolin, but Tangle escaped before she could be trapped, too. Don't worry, though, i am sure they are still alive...for now. But I have a feeling the next 2 issues will not go well. In fact, here's what I think what will happen in the next 2 issues:
There's nowhere to run. No one to call for help. Eggman, bruised, broken and beaten, looks up at Sonic, knowing that what he's gonna do...is something he won't come back from. Sonic yells in uncontrolled rage as he thrusts his fist, about to end the mad doctor...when...suddenly...
"Ah, Sonic", Eggman said with an evil grin on his face. "I see you've simply forgotten about a little bit of unfinished business here, though I doubt it WILL be finished. You've come for your little friends, have you? Well, don't bother. My traps are deterorating them even as we speak. Soon, those pesky Diamond Cutters will be nothing more than just mere specks of atoms, faded into oblivion. Soon...they'll be gone...forever. Still, if you really, really, really, want to save them, then the traps are yours for the taking."
I get the distinct impression that Metal is thoroughly frustrated at hanging back while mass produced copies of a copy of Sonic engage. He was the first of those created to beat Sonic at the Hedgehog's own game, and now one of his fellow would be usurpers has been around long enough to have enough of his own knockoffs to fill a dropship. I'm not saying he necessarily take well to other Metal Sonics, be they built to match his base specs or cheaper production versions, but he has got to be going through some strong emotions right now, and the thought might make him feel less unwanted.

Oh Star, i'm very sorry that Lucas break up with you. This a shocking to me too. That is big blow that your heart got hit and broken. I hope you gonna be ok Star. *Static give Star a hug*
Can someone break this down for me. What happened to the city after Shadow absorbed too much energy and what were all the spikes coming out of the ground? Why did Silver throw everyone at 16:04, or was he trying to catch everyone? What did Whisper see that reminded her of the first Diamond Cutters, and if it was the makeup of the Shadow Androids like people speculated, why isn’t Whisper afraid of the initial Shadow? And finally what happened here at 23:40, and how did Tangle escape whatever that is?
1: I think Shadow released too much energy caused, which caused more fake chaos emeralds to come out of the ground. 2: One of these emeralds threw everyone in the air, and Silver was trying to catch them. 3. The first Diamond Cutters were killed by Shadow androids, and while Whisper isn't afraid of Shadow, she still feels unconscious around him (it was established in the Battle for Angel Island arc and the Tangle and Whisper comic). 4. I think Tangle can go through walls in her current state.
"I will save them, Eggman. And I will have them restored. But...that's not the only thing I want.", Sonic said with fury in his voice. "HOHOHOHOOO! Of course it isn't. You want to bow first in the light of my awesome glory as I pave your land, right?" Eggman answered. "No, Eggman.", Sonic told him in rage. "I. WANT. YOU. GONE." Eggman is soon starting to get worried. He's never seen Sonic this angry before. He's starting to feel like he may have pushed him too far.
I know that the writers have gon on record saying that they’ve had to “nerf” Shadow so that the story can progress with a decent pace, but I am surprised they went as far as to have Shadow say he can’t preform chaos control, one of his innate abilities, without a chaos emerald. Unless a natural chaos control now takes a substantially greater amount of energy to preform than it has before. The way Sega wants Shadow portrayed now is kinda counterintuitive to his original character. He’s now the common stubborn rival instead of the antihero rival who is very competent and doesn’t let himself be victim to his own pride.
Shadow has been EXTREMELY competent compared to Sonic who has cared more about the freedom of a sadistic mad scientist and a soulless killing machine than the safety of his own planet! Shadow has actually been trying to PROTECT the planet!
So far, Shadow is pretty alright. He is on point with his mission, he only mocks and looks down upon the androids, and he warns everyone to flee when he suspects a charged explosion, which shows that he cares for his allies.

Lmao I was scared I thought shadow would go back to his "Am I fake?" Phase
Think Shadow's getting a little better. I hope we're maybe headed towards a little realignment arc for him, between the Chaos and the androids.
Shadow should really stop scaring Rouge like this. If she had a gem for every time Shadow appears dead, she won't have to steal anymore.
i assume the way to bring wisper and Lanolin back is though not letting these machines loss because they are also holding the atoms of those they destroy
I love the Chaos Control scene and how it was drawn. The little signs of the corrupted energy is a nice touch. Everyone's reactions mainly Sonic's is very funny as well
15:17 Also something I just noticed.
Sonic>= base shadow>silver
But yes shadow without inhibitor rings or with chaos energy is the strongest hero easily
(except writing I guess)
Btw, p-06 silver release is out.
No. The Shadow Androids triggered Whispers PTSD. They were what killed Whispers previous squad. That's what I'm getting.
They’re looking at the screens displaying the Shadow Androids.
That is the strong suit of this arc. It’s very character focused.
@Hydrocity Shark which is great because, let's be real: the thing that made Sonic famous and is the reason why people return is the characters.
Eggman is getting more and more dangerous in these comics I like it
Yes i am
You underestimate him in games. What we see in comic series are just Wednesdays.
Eggman in the comics is weak sauce
Eggman is always dangerous. Like on these specifically this one. He just out dones himself
When Eggman isn't fighting someone like Sonic he is one hell of a tough fight.
15:24 Tails, Amy and Silver: YEAH!
Blaze: Thank Sol he is on our side!
Sonic: Showoff.
Rouge: I am totally bedding him tonight!
That's hilarious and accurate
Whenever they wrote shadow’s character completely like how he was in sonic 06
I can rest peacefully
This issue made me more hopeful to look forward to what they’ll do in depicting his character
Same, man, same! I won't rest until I see Shadow and the rest of Team Dark back to their 06 selves.
I think the way the diamond cutters see Eggmans face which was covered in shadow is the same way everyone who isn't the main protagonists or antagonists see Eggman
Which is pretty accurate way to see him. He really is a psychopath, who is also a super genius.
@Valentin Kambushev That and also keeping in mind how much taller than them he is. Dude's a giant surrounded by hobbit animals haha
Pretty much, in spite of their accomplishments, these three are still pretty green compared to the game characters.
Except for rough and tumble. They were too stupid to see Eggman as someone to be scared of.

Just perfect 👌😂😂😂
Shadow isn’t completely awful this time, that’s a step up
I'm happy IDW brought the Real and Good Shadow back.

Tangle failed to disable noclip, VAC ban
I can already tell issue 60 is gonna be great

Well, at least Shadow did something useful, and his dialog wasn't just "Hump whatever." or "Not interested!"
We get to see Shadow wrecking house again, I'll take it.
Yeah,at this point, we are taking whatever little we can get.
Sonic physically overpowers Amy primarily due to his greater overall strength and agility. Here’s how Sonic's physical attributes give him the edge over Amy:
Sonic: Maybe I should give it a try.
I mean you and Silver literally could.
Wonder if Shadow returns telling Tails "think you and Belle can fully repair Omega again" showing all is left is Omega's head again.
Dang. This really made me laugh! 🤣
If we were dealing with the edgy Shadow he would refuse to use the fake emerald.
I also love how Sonic was like "I should learn that"

let's just keep in mind the fact that shadow was capable of all of that with his inhibitors still on..

Do you think that is what might happen in the next 2 issues? If so, how scary would it be to see Sonic almost cross that line?
Sonic would never cross that line because if he does, SEGA won't be able to milk Eggman. The same reason why DC won't let the Joker die.

Are they dead!? No no no no no! 😭
Holy crap the one shadow android totally looked like mephiles
No limiters rings thing anymore?
Eh.... They delayed this one 3 times for this
Oh really. I felt like it was taking long to come out.
Obviously, the rings can only inhibit so much.
I know it's weird to ask but why those androids have fur?
Because Eggman loves attention to detail.
I LOVE THIS ISSUE SMMM❤❤❤
I LOVE SHADOW'S CHARACTERIZATION HERE, IT FEELS LIKE A STEP FORWARD TO IMPROVING HIS CHARACTER
I LOVED HOW ROUGE WAS HOLDING BACK TEARS WHEN SHE COULDN'T FIND THE REST OF TEAM DARK I LOVE HOW THEY'RE BACK AGAIN 💗💗💗💗
I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT PART I WANNA KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO WHISPER AND LANOLIN 😭😭
I agree with you as well this Is a brilliant Issue to read and huge Improvement on Shadow on his character as well. I enjoyed watching Shadow (Team Dark) battling the Shadow Androids It was an epic battle. Plus the artwork on the panels are fantastic as well 😊
Why can't they just let Tangle and Whisper be happy?! 😢
Tangle? Because the mature experience is good for her. Whisper? Because Mimic is still alive.
@@videogollumer I mean just enjoy each other's company without some life threatening or traumatizing experience happening! 😢
@@delphoxhoopa7289 Like I said, Mimic will probably have to die for that to happen.
Just give him a M16 watch as he decends Into the doom guy.
21:42-23:05
*DON'T DO THIS TO ME EVAN, PLEASE-*
I don't think it's Ian doing it.
It's not Ian, it's Evan Stanley
I don't think my heart can take much more Tangle and Whisper trauma. Now I have to wait another month. Why must they hurt me in this way? 😭
@@manuelinacio4038 ah, sorry abt that
"I will save them, Eggman.
"I. WANT. YOU. GONE."
Eggman is soon starting to get worried. He's never seen Sonic this angry before. He's starting to feel like he may have pushed him too far.
Sonic doesn't have the guts to deal with Eggman once and for all, and he refuses to let those who have them (Shadow, Omega, and Whisper) do it.
9:20 shadow android eyes like Sonic.exe!
I like how the fight became more intense.
Same here loved every minute of Shadow battling those Shadow Androids.
Why was blaze upside down and why wasn't she mad? Haha.
If only Tangle hadn't called the team "Diamond Cutters"...
She ended up legitimately ashamed of herself for that; I see no reason to continue holding it against her.
Archie Shadow could use chaos powers without the emeralds if I remember
Wen!!!!!! Is issue 60!!!!!!!!^^
Whispangle= Semi-canon.
Whisper can’t catch a break
Has Shadow always been this Vegeta-like? Not in a bad way or anything, it's just that the similarities are kind of comical in terms of behavior.
Yes yes he has even when he was first introduced.
14:03 I thought Shadow didn’t need a chaos emerald to use Chaos Control
It was actually a mistake made by the writers in sonic forces so now the idw writers are trying to fix that mistake
@@bluephoenix_z3364 Wait so Shadow needs a chaos emerald to use Chaos Control?
@@ThePinkBlurSonicFan yep just like he did in SA2 and 06. Forces just made an error when introducing shadow in the game.
@@bluephoenix_z3364 Oh okay thanks for commenting on my comment I was really confused at first
@@ThePinkBlurSonicFan no problem
I’m pretty sure Shadow relying on the chaos emeralds for chaos control is something old. Not from IDW
@@bionx9098 You’d be correct. That’s the logic of the game canon starting with SA2.
It funny cuz shadow did chaos control in the angel island arc just fine without an emerald, so issue 59 becomes a plothole.
@@Snaaaaap No, the earlier one was the error; it's the plothole.
