I 100% believe defenses are lining up to stop the inside read trap we had a lot of success with earlier. The counter to that is to run the stretch zone, the option, speed option, off tackle counter, things i was saying 5 weeks ago we needed to be running. I also wanted to see qb draw plays ran out of spread formation. We did actually -Finally- see these things second half of the game. It was too little, too late, but they were extremely effective. And once defenses start adjusting to these stretch plays, that inside read will open back up and we can start running that more and keep the defense off balance.

@colemanbeck5648 thanks! I hope my comments can be useful somehow. I used to play college football back in the day (juco and div 2). I was a tailback, so I tend to see things from that perspective. I also played slot receiver, and punt/kickoff returner in HS.

Kstate has fallen apart and now I want to see if they can put it back together. We need momentum going into next year!

I want to win 10 games this year regardless. There's a big difference in perception between a 9 win and 10 win season, imo.

Cincinnati is another team that the Cats cannot take lightly. This seasons Cat schedule is still brutal, I think. Go KSU Cats
! I actually am excited about the bowl that KSU can go to. This KSU team is still young this season. Hopefully KSU retains it's best players for next season. If so? KSU next season will be a playoff team.

OK, if we want the players to care about these last games, we should at least consider caring about these games too. Players don't care about these last games when playoffs / conference title hopes go out the window because media professionals and fans act like all that matters is winning the conference or going to the playoff. Just need to start enjoying every regular season game again because we only get 12 a year and it goes by fast. If you have tickets to the game, show up and get excited about being there. A 9 or 10 win season would be great for the program, regardless of how these last couple of weeks went.

Hard to run into 9 man fronts. Hard to get a push with free defenders.
But don’t exploit the open cover zero middle

    BYU is 9 and one
    ASU is 8 and 2
    ISU is 8 and 2
    Colorado is 8 and 2
So all are ahead of KSU with the Wildcats no 5.
But if KU beats Colorado, the Buffs will be 8 and 3 and eliminated because of their loss against KSU
If BYU beats ASU this Saturday, the Sun Devils will be 8 and 3 but ahead of KSU because they just beat the Wildcats
If Iowa State beats Utah this Saturday, they will be 9 and 2 and ahead of KSU
KSU needs to beat Cinci this Saturday to become 8 and 3
Everything will then sort itself out next week, Nov. 30
If KSU beats ISU and Arizona beats ASU, then KSU will be in Arlington to play BYU on Dec. 7
BYU just needs to win one of the last two with the last one at home against Houston
BYU at 10 and two (possibly at 11 and 1)
    KSU at 9 and 3
    ISU at 9 and 3
    Colorado at 9 and 3
    ASU at 8 and 4
KSU will have won the tie breakers with wins over Colorado and ISU
I will forevermore be an optimist. Think positive, KSU nation. What do you have to lose?

We would have 3 conference losses Colorado would only have 2 so if we win out, Colorado needs to lose out

I believe there is still a way for KSU to go Arlington.
    Win the last two games.
    KU wins against Colorado
BYU beats ASU and Arizona beats ASU
Is this scenario not correct? Nobody mentions that KSU beat Colorado.
Chris Kliman is too loyal. Should have placed Conner Riley back to the the sideline months ago and coach the offensive line only.
Let's face it, Conner Riley is a super terrible OC. Much more than the players he is responsible for the losses against Houston and ASU.
Immediately let Matt Wells be the OC.
I intensely dislike Colorado. Especially since the game in Colorado where KSU fans were horribly maltreated.
There will be a measure of solace if KU beats Colorado and plays the spoiler.
    Advice to the Buffs
    Haiku
    Run super fast, run
    Back to your lovely abode
    Was it a dark cave?
    Encouraging BYU
    Haiku
    Please, please do your best
    And win against ASU
    Good for you and us
    Admonishing our Wildcats
    Haiku
    Please start to believe
    Believing can move mountains
    Do it for Kansas
