Take a look at a typical school day at the Adam J. Lewis Preschool. Here, preschool is about so much more than playtime. We take a “constructivist” approach to education by blending ideas from Montessori, Piaget and the Reggio Emilia Approach.
Emphasis is placed on the process of learning as well as the mastery of skills, and all children are invited to take an active role in this journey.
A high quality preschool education sets children up for greater success in Kindergarten, faster mastery of basic skills, increased levels of confidence and self-esteem as well as social skills. Preschool also puts children on a path for less grade repetition, lower dropout rates and higher earnings later in life.
At the Adam J. Lewis Preschool, financial assistance is provided to all families who cannot afford to pay tuition and is determined according to a family’s income and need. No family will be denied admission due to an inability to pay. We work with each family on an individual basis to determine their tuition amount. Decisions are confidential.
